           h e r the friend someone is lucky to be blessed with, which isn't all that hard considering her extroversion and affinity towards people. nova takes the initiatives to befriend people, sparking conversations with strangers anytime, anywhere. due to her talkative and curious nature, she's really good at keeping conversations going. nova is a freedom oriented, open-minded person and very tolerant of everyone's opinions and how they live their lives as long as they don't try to tell her how to live hers. strangers and ofc friends feel comfortable telling her just about everything because she'll either get excited at the new perspectives or just be accepting overall to their ideas and thoughts, regardless whether she agrees with them. in one sense, nova is very selfless and has a big heart; she'll readily lend anyone her help so long as they need it. she's the type to offer help to mothers with baby carriages at the stairs, wake up a sleeping person at the last stop, and give up her seat to those who need it. people who are friends with her would have been bought a drink or meal by nova at one point in the friendship. nova knows no limits when it comes to spoiling her friends. loyalty is very important to her so for those who stay despite her mostly troublesome self, she's eternally grateful. nova can't verbally voice her love for them so she shows it through her actions instead. she offers unlimited energy, time, and whatever fortune she has saved up at the time for those she holds dear. tends to make jokes out of everything, nova's a funny girl with dramatic story telling abilities. she's an entertaining person who just wants to have a good time and let problems be bygones. doesn't give problems in her life much thought, nova is carefree, just striving to enjoy life being the her she wants and can be unrealistically, irrationally optimistic. all bad things eventually pass and it could've been worst. she's good at amping up dreamers and sometimes making dreamers out of others because nothing is impossible.

 

           m e sure, nova's probably the ideal friend someone would want, and she probably is as long as someone isn't controlling, likes to be right or is her parent. nova is repsectful of others' opinions so she expects to be met with the same respect in return. she's laidback but when she actually has her own opinions, she'll never forgo it; she becomes a ing rock. with her pride being stupidly high, the girl doesn't tread lightly when she feels anyone tell her she's wrong, how to live her life, or talk about her opinions and ideals because who the do you think you are? the girl loves herself too much and has too much pride that she sticks to her thoughts without budging to other's words. horrible at taking advice, she is a stubborn brat who can't take no for an answer when it comes to what she wants, stemmed from being spoiled since young by her mother and sister. in short, the girl is true to herself and doesn't let others influence her if she doesn't want to be, especially since she blieves she has her morals in the right place. her will and pridefulness influences her to do and say whatever the she wants so she doesn't hold back. nova doesn't see the reason in lying, white lies or not, small lies or not, not that she has a single nerve in her that can help her lie. she's not the type to tell a random stranger that they're ugly, but if someone asks her for her opinion, they should be prepared for an honest answer. nova has somewhat of a masculine personality, getting along better with guys because she has a similar mindset. her color palette consists only of roy g biv, she gives zero s about fashion, makeup, shopping, and playing dress up. she's kind of rough with her actions wherein she'll punch the person closest to her just because she's bored or stretch someone's shirt because she got too into a physical game. she's not fussy, doesn't mind getting down and dirty, and at telling people she really cares for them. she doesn't like being sappy, it makes her cringe and gag. the type to let her actions speak for her.

 

          s h e influenced by her boyish mindset, the girl is vulgar with her thoughts and crude with her words. has a habit of cursing too much and drops the f bomb after every other word when she's annoyed. she doesn't hide things like a normal human being; she'll share embarassing stories and announce to the world that she's on her period as if it's like telling someone her name. half the population had, has, or will have periods, and another good portion will end up marrying someone who would so whats the fuss? nova places great importance on relationships and although she can make friends with just about anyone, she's not bounded by strong feelings for many of them. not everyone can understand her at her weirdest and most will not be able to handle her short temperament. her short temperament is a side that only comes out around those she's closest with since she places greater value on the things her closest friends and families say than a classmate or something. has a short fuse when it comes to close mindedness, those who say they love one brand and hate the other when they have never tried the second brand, those who nag her and try to tell her what to do, and those who don't respect her opinions. her temper is her deadliest trait because if you thought she's originally kind of blunt, you're in for a world where words can kill you. she is unreasonably mean, sometimes letting her anger talk for her and may end up saying something she might not really mean. the thing with nova is that she can be very oblivious. she's the type to talk about her feelings, besides verbally expressing how important someone is to her, so she's not aware when her words hurt someone or her actions caused misunderstandings. add that to her forgetfulness, she's the type you have to explain at the moment if she did something that hurt you so she can understand. her mind tends to be all over the place; she's here, she's in the future, she's in a utopia, she may even be in hell. although she lives at the moment, her mind lives through any time and world that her imagination comes up with. nova is well aware of her own strengths and flaws, but either way, she likes being nova.

 

 

( background ) : born and raised in new york, nova has lived a happy life. her parents divorced before she could understand what it really meant so she wasn't capable of being sad over that. like typical people, she went to school, made friends, passing most of her classes with the help of her friends. her family spoiled her since she was the youngest for ten years, until her mother gave birth to a baby boy. instead of acting like her responsible older sister, nancy, nova retained her childish antics and fought regularly with her little brother. nova just can't seem to ever give nate what he wants. also spends most of her day annoying her brother because she was bored and wanted to play. nova is the only extrovert of her siblings and can be seen in the amount of friends she has, although she's really only close to about a handful of people. her mother remarried a well off man when she was about seven so the family wasn't in any financial troubles, her mom gave her mostly what she wanted. nova hates the man though so she usually ignores his existence. they don't talk or have any sort of interactions. most of her days consist of her going to college, she would have just graduated college with a bba in human resources when she gets recruited for the show.

( how and when did you get into kpop? ) : i fell down the rabbit hole after dream high 2 and the rest is history.
 

( how long have you been into exo, especially sehun? ) : i've been a fan of exo ever since their debut. sehun has been my ultimate bias for over 6 years and counting. starts smiling like an idiot at the mention of sehun like a fool in love

( how did you feel when sbs contacted you to let you know you were one of the lucky winners? ) : of course, this is why you should be a good person. i really believed this was good karma hitting me like a wall of marshmellow and cotton candy! i was also on my knees thanking lady luck.

 

( how was your first meeting with sehun? ) : stuttering over every word, cheeks flaming red, and sweating due to the nervousness, i couldn't even look him in the eye the first hour we were talking. you gotta understand, he's someone i've been looking up to for over 6 years so finally meeting him in person was overwhelming. i was a total mess, just giggling when we so much as exchange eye contact and couldn't formulate coherent sentences. i guess you can say i was very out of character from my usual self.

( as you spend more time with your idol in person, do you ever feel disappointed that maybe he/she was not the perfect person you expected them to be? why? ) : from the get go, i know perfect people don't exist; i just haven't found sehun's flaws yet. it actually made me pretty uncomfortable to not see any of his flaws so rather than being disappointed, it was more amusing to watch. reminds me that he's got feelings and can be pretty weird. his weird side is my favorite side. giggles and blushes like a HS GIRL TALKING BOUT HER CRUSH

( after your 100 days is over, you will go back to your home country and your everyday life. how do you predict you will feel and what will you do? ) : it's probably a stretch, but i will definitely want to maintain contact with sehun and continue the friendship and hopefully go beyond that. although i don't plan on staying in korea, who knows what will happen.

( on-cam ) : relatively quiet, sehun isn't completely comfortable with the whole cast so he mostly kept to the background and focused more on his fangirl. sehun looked out for everyone but nova being his 6 year fan definitely made her more noticeable to him. he spoke when spoke to by others, he just didn't make much efforts to lead conversations or anything. half the times he even shows up on screen is because nova who is always standing next to him, said something stupid again. very respectful to everyone in a sort of way that makes it hard for people to get closer to him; it kind of feels like he's all about respect and formalities which when seen in another way, is uptight.

( off-cam ) : definitely much more relaxed, sehun was more willing to hold conversations and was more energetic overall. made plenty more jokes and comfortably revealing his weird thoughts and true self. in short, he wasn't as boring in real life as he seems to be on screen since he's more active and engaging. he still is kind and full of manners, doing the best job at taking care of others. he was less awkward and showed more of his true self since he's always worried that someone would get hurt if he did anything wrong on screen. sehun tries to think twice before acting and saying tbh since he knows how passionate some exo-ls are which leads to hiim being pretty blank most of the show.

 

( first meeting ) : nova couldn't keep still at the thought of meeting her bias. she was rambling to herself, pacing back and forth in front of the arcade uneasily, the meeting spot she chose. she knew she's going to need some sort of distraction from sehun and believes they can get closer faster at a arcade. before the end of the day, nova does get comfortable enough around sehun to stop being an awkward penguin and sehun feels comfortable enough to ask interesting questions besides what's your favorite vegetable. 

 

( interactions ) : sehun is extremely grateful of the girl who has been his fan for over 6 years and tries his best to shower her in the love that he felt from her loyalty. he'll do his best to take care of her and makes certain he's showing her his good sides at every chance since he is her role model. he'll get water for her when she so much as heads in the direction of the kitchen, fills her plate with food when everyone is eating altogether because he knows her short arms aren't reaching anything on that long table, and takes care of her like she's an actual girl. like a true gentlemen. you can imagine how much more smitten nova becomes.

 

nova was the obsessed fangirl who said she would marry her favorite idol one day so she's more conscious than usual and may not be as open or crude as she is with others. whenever sehun takes care of her, she falls deeper into her fangirl fantasy and becomes a blushing, incoherent mess. she likes seeing new sides of sehun, to remind herself that he's very much a person like her and to snap herself out of her stupid fantasies. since nova has a thing for nice guys, when she spends more time with sehun, can't quite make the distinction between whether her feelings for sehun is for her favorite idol or for a man. either way, she suppresses those feelings and values sehun as a friend, putting a lot of attention and consideration for him. they make conscious efforts to take good care of each other and soon enough, it becomes second nature.

 

when they're with the others, you can see sehun's awkwardness so he's mostly sitting by the sides and just listening to the conversation. but for nova who doesn't hold strong feelings for the others in the house, she's quick to spark conversation and joke around with the others as if they've all been friends for ten years. she acts like she usually does since she wants to make friends with all of them and doesn't hold nonplatonic feelings for em. that's just how easy going nova is, generally speaking. nova tries to act as a bridge between the others at the house and sehun, inserting sehun into conversations and activities so he's not left out. she'll also ask whether he's having fun or needs anything, watching out for his discomfort in the group. she'll look out for him in her own way, like ficing his hair if it's out of place, pass him tissue when he has something on his mouth, or whispering he has something on his teeth. funny thing is, wjhenever nova wants to try everything, begging sehun to accompany her like going bungee jumping or whatever, sehun will never say no. even if he wasn't interested in trying it in the first place, he warms up to the idea eventually. when nova changes her mind because shes scared or just being the fickle she is, he encourages her to complete her challenges anyways. he's good at supporting nova to finish what she starts. for sehun, nova is good at encouraging sehun to try whatever he wants without worrying about how people think or looking 'uncool', essentially to be a bit more selfish and love himself. ofc she'll end it on a light note saying something like, "ofc, i can love you enough to cover your share of self love."

 

when it is just sehun and nova, they talk about nonsense topics and make jokes out of everything. because they both have a rather weird mentality, nova enjoys hearing sehun's thoughts and sehun finds comfort in her laidback reactions to his weird thoughts. he also definitely doesn't mind that nova tends to lead the conversations or talk about 75% of the time they're together. sehun definitely enjoys nova's company and feels the most comfortable around her compared to the others, she made tremendous effort to ensure that. nova has this odd superpower of making all her guy friends mess around and ; sehun was no exception. he became so comfortable around the girl that he's game to such as holding things above her head to mock her short height and their 30cm height difference. although nova is a huge fan of sehun and anyone can see that, sehun gets surprised whenever nova doesn't watch and says things like he's ugly with green hair or looks terrible with a certain coat bc he thought she'd see him in the light that he's perfect whenever, whereever. her blunt comments become something he enjoys though because he knows nova means everything she says as his fan and doesn't hold him to unbearable standards as if he's an angel to cast good throughout the world; not that he isn't already doing it but yeh.

 

( status ) : the two remain friends and nova keeps her feelings to herself until she's certain she doesn't just like sehun bc he's her ultimate bias but actually as a person. if she realizes she does indeed like sehun as a woman to a man, then she'll eventually confess.

( comments ) : so it's been about half a year since i last wrote an app sdfsjh! the story sounded too cute to pass up haha. hopefully there's nothing wrong with my app and that y'all enjoyed reading it!

( questions / concerns ) : i haven't thought of someone i'd like to use as a backup for sehun since this was based off the imagination of meeting sehun lel. if nova was chosen and sehun wasn't available, i'll add a backup and make edits to the idol's personality and interactions. also, i listed a bunch of scene requests to kind of give a feel of how they interact. sorry for bombarding y'all with so much reading otl. i didn't add any relationships since they're not crucial, but i'll add them if neccessary. i also hope it's ok to make sehun's thoughts & feelings for nova surface-level, like being grateful, treating her well and liking her as a friend. i wanted to see what y'all would interpret of their relationship based on their personalities and stuff to kind of get a surprise (?). hopefully it gives y'all more writing freedom lol. and now for actual questions lol. is the show pre-recorded to minimize hate on the contestants? what time does the show air? korea's kinda strict with their viewership ratings and was wondering if the characters have any limits to what they can say, like talk about or curse wildly?

• fans being able to sing / record their fave song with their chosen idol's group and it's used as their like theme song whenever their scenes come up

• fans learning korean from their idols or the idols learning the languages of their fans. maybe a competition to see which fan or which idol learns the most within a time period.

• meeting friends or group members of their idol and the idol having their flamed; hearing embarassing stories about their idols

• contestants getting hate from their idols' fans and the idols trying their best to cheer em up

• playing ideal type world cup and one of the idol getting jealous when their fan chose someone else

• one of the contestants who have a siblingship with their idol and talks about someone they're interested in. the idol bombards em with questions about the potential love interest and saying the contestant can only date someone after they(the idol) approves, basically acting like real protective siblings. or giving solid relationship advice.

• the idols having to dress accoridng to what the contestant chooses for em. some of them dressing their idols up like their fantasies or turning their idols into walking memes.

• sehun deboning fish for nova after he finds out she doesn't eat fish bc she don't wanna die from the bones. and bc she's too lazy to pick em out tbh.

• sehun holding nova's phone over her head and asking who's her favorite idol (maybe after she fangirled over someone's abs). nova whines before attempting to climb sehun and he's making jokes like "i know you want me, but isn't it kind of inappropriate to pounce on me like that?"

• nova telling sehun she really likes him for the nth time that day (probably after sehun did something nice for her again) and sehun gets shy but quickly adjusts and jokes back that everyone loves him

• sehun sees nova struggling to do anything and helps her with it

• sehun makes an unexpected weird comment and everyone just doesn't know how to react except for nova who's cracking up and saying something like "i love when you say wierd like that" or something. he thought he'd be uncomfy since no one else laughed but instead he's thinking, ofc, as long as my biggest fan laughs, it's all good.

• sehun is wearing something outrageous or made another meme face and nova calls him ugly. her comment gets to him. he asks seriously, "really?" since he knows nova just says what she thinks and wants to know if he's really ugly in her eyes. nova is taken aback that he's hurt but doesn't change her answer. "you were ugly but everyone has ugly angles. i'm not saying you're actually ugly bc it's the contrary"

• the cast go to a zoo and nova tags along bc she doesn't wanna be left alone, even when she doesn't like seeing caged animals. at one pt, they pass the reptile exhibit and she's scared out of her wits end, on the verge of tears. sehun takes good care of her, leading her out of the exhibit with her eyes closed, patting her back to soothe her, buying her ice cream etc.

• cast going grocery shopping; nova and sehun packs the cart with sweets like the kids they are and refuses to leave the market without the candies

• stealing each other's candies and fighting / whining like lil kids.

• nova tries something new and bc it's so good, shares it with sehun. she doesn't take no for an answer bc the snack is that good that sehun has to try it.

• nova and sehun having a deep convo. nova thanks sehun bc being his fan made her live as a better person and she was more open to helping others out. in the past, she'd keep her well intentions to herself bc she doesn't want to be seen as a doormat but now, doesn't mind it as long as she knows she's living her best self. i kind of see sehun being moved to tears lol cause he didn't expect to be such a big impact on his fans.
