Graphics take a lot of time to make --> so please credit.

Seriously. Is it that hard to take two minutes of your life editing the foreword to credit?

I mean-- I don't really care if you use the banner or not to credit, just copy and paste the link to the shop. You don't have to even make it fancy and format it or whatnot. Just credit.

No, crediting in only one of your latest story chapters is not alright (unless you're writing a one-shot collection b/c then it makes more sense). No, simply commenting "thanks for the poster" isn't enough. Just ugh asjkoaf add some credit in the foreword and we're good. I don't even require you to use the poster in my shop, just. Add. Credit. Even if you don't use it omg. Is it that hard?

My staff at my shop take their time making graphics for you in the hopes that you end up liking it, and in return, you take it and don't give credit OR don't use the poster, and again, don't give credit. The words "please credit." are literally all over my shop. Like EVERYWHERE... I say it in the foreword, I say it in all the chapters where you pick-up; there's no reason for you to not know about this rule that pretty much all the graphics shops on AFF have. Should I put it in the title, "Goldfish Graphics Shop-- We only serve people who actually try crediting" for people to begin noticing stuff like this?:

So if your excuse is, "oh, sorry, I didn't know"... that's honestly the worst excuse of the century. Shops have rules for a reason. If you want to have happy people designing for you, then you should probably read them...??

And then if your excuse is, "sorry, I forgot"... that's just as bad of an excuse as the previous one. "sorry, I took the poster, uploaded it to the story, and at the same time that I was uploading the poster, I totally forgot to spend like one minute to type up in the foreword, 'credit to Goldfish for the graphics, here's the link to the shop: xxx' b/c that's just SO hard to remember!"

omg.

people. please.

You can even put it in super tiny size 8 font so no one sees. As long as the credit is there, I'm okay with it. I don't check immediately after you pick-up to see if you've credited or not. I give you a few days, even a week, so that the people who are too busy can have time to edit the foreword. You can even tell me, "hey, I've seen the poster, but I think I won't be able to use and credit until next next week because life has been super chaotic lately", and I'll just be like, "cool, take your time. Hope everything's been going fine." I don't think I'm a really strict person who isn't flexible to the rules, but when I've uploaded your graphics, given you a week and a half to credit, and you still don't credit/even say anything about the graphics, I'm not going to be as nice as before, honestly.

And no, I'm not targeting one person in specific either. This has happened multiple times.

No, giving me karma points and saying that you don't want to credit does not work. I don't care for your kp. I want credits.

I don't believe in blacklisting. I feel like it's a lazy way to call out people for not following the rules. But if I really do have to start making a blacklist, I will.

... I'm so frustrated with what may seem super tiny and insignificant, but it's just such a big deal for me especially b/c I know how it feels to have work thrown away/unacknowledged. :/  I don't usually antagonize people so much like this; I don't want to. But I just hate it so so so much when people don't credit.

Let me just stop ranting now.

I feel you. Up until this year, I was sick and tired and ended up going “to hell with this; imma make it and if they don’t credit, well... f them” (I had a change in attitude this year although I occasionally let it slip because no I’m lazy). Like, the excuses they give are pathetic (“I’m sorry, I didn’t know—like WTF, I stated on the form to freaking read the rules and guidelines). I hid a password in the rules too (AGAIN—I mention it on the freaking form) and they don’t follow any of the procedures. Is it that hard to read the rules and credit (+make a blog post in the span of two weeks)? No! Just put the banner and link and for the blog, for me, just write “check it out” is fine. And idk about you, but I make a blacklist to remind myself of the people since I’m forgetful and whatnot. Seriously though, IT’S NOT THAT HARD.

I understand you. Very much.
I jad revised/added/removed/changed my shoo rules every batch but still there's people that dont credit/not using it/not pick up and all the excuse. We designer spend lots of time, energy, idea to the poster but they couldnt spend little time & energy to use and credit.
Im not sure what should i do anymore. *close the shop*
