TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ⋆ ] yeeun first joined jyp entertainment in june of 2011. she was 15 years old at the time, and her life mainly consisted of school and training. yeeun was proficient in not only dancing, but she was talented vocally and could write her own rap lyrics and enjoyed rapping also. most of her training consited of dance and vocal training as that was what she was the best and weakest at. however, as talented as she was, there was always someone better, making her mediocre at best. this took quite a toll on yeeun as she started to constantly doubt herself which resulted in only making herself nervous and not doing as well as should should on monthly evaluations. yeeun ended up leaving jyp in febuary of 2014 as she thought she wasn't going anywhere with her training. she had also enrolled in college around this time and just wanted to focus on her first year of school.
with the constant badgering of her friends and family, yeeun was pressured to not give up her dreams. her father found out about the opening of a new entertainment company and suggested yeeun give it a shot. yeeun decided to audition to prove to herself that she should leave the idol dreams to her friends and focus on school, however she ended up impressing the judges and passing her audition. she then joined fantasia entertainment in october of 2014.
yeeun's life under fantasia was much more fast paced than her trainee life with jyp. fantasia entertainment was in a rush to debut their first group and yeeun ended up in the final line up for 'cherry day'. however, cherry day wasn't well received by the public and ended up disbanding shortly after their debut.
the company then decided to re-debut yeeun and her fellow members of cherry day as 'nova' while adding a new member. the new member was a main rapper, pushing yeeun back from the lead rapper to a sub-rapper. this discouraged yeeun once again, however she pushed through it and nova's debut was more of a success than cherry day but they were still lacking. yeeun blamed herself partly for nova not doing so well as she constantly doubted herself as she felt she was simply average at everything but had no real talent. when nova added two new members, one being another 'lead dancer' and pushing yeeun's title to 'second lead dancer' she constantly doubted her spot in nova and questioned if they really needed her in the group or not. although she would never let it show. 
when news broke that nova would be splitting into two sub-units yeeun figured she would be a member of 'solar' due to her personality and personal style. she was shocked, but also relieved, to learn that she would be a member of 'luna'. as both the main dancer and lead dancers of the group would be in solar, yeeun is taking this opportunity as a chance to let her true colors shine and won't back down.

BACKGROUND [ ⋆ ] yeeun was born on a rainy spring day in incheon, seoul, south korea. her parents were in their 30's and told that they wouldn't be able to have children, so yeeun was quite the surprise. as her parents weren't expecting a child, they didn't have any supplies or funds to raise a baby, as their only source of income was the barbeque shop yeeun's father owned. yeeun's mother got a part time job at a nursery nearby when she found out she was pregnant and worked there after yeeun's birth. although her family was low on cash, her parents cared for yeeun with everything they had. as her mother lost her frist child due to complications with birth and was told she wasn't able to have any more children, she thought yeeun was a miracle as she loved kids and prayed hard for one of her own. 

shortly after yeeun's birth yeeun's family went bankrupt. her father resorted to selling his restaurant and moving back to his hometown of busan, south korea, where yeeun's family opened up a smaller pork restaurant. yeeun's family life became more stable although her parents were still living pay-check to pay-check; they somehow always found a way to make it work. 

yeeun was a talented artist, even from the time she was little. she would constantly be painting small drawings for her mother to hang up in the family restaurant. yeeun's parents always supported their daughter in whatever she found interest in, and when yeeun became interested in dancing due to her friend ship with their next door neighbors daughter, yeeun's mother picked up a part time job to send yeeun to dance classes with her friend.

as yeeun grew older she decided to audition for an entertainment company with her best friend, sojung. as yeeun was an average student and the only interests she ever showed in anything was in the arts, her parents supported her dream and let her audition in seoul with sojung. the girls auditioned for jyp entertainment in 2011, with only yeeun being accepted. yeeun then moved to seoul to live in a dorm jyp provided, and found a part time job in the restaurant her family used to own to help pay her training expenses. 

yeeun ended up leaving jyp in feburary 2014 and decided to focus on college as she recently graduated high school and enrolled in kyunghee university. as the majority of yeeun's friends were idol trainees, they encouraged her to audition for other companies as they knew she had the potential to be great.  even her parents were encouraging yeeun not to give up on her dreams so easily because of her temper and noticed how depressed she was becoming. yeeun's father found out about fantasia entertainments auditions and yeeun decided to audition just to get everyone off her back, however she ended up passing her audition and ended up a trainee under fantasia entertainment in october of 2014.

lee hyemi: yeeun loves hyemi's impulsiveness as she has the same trait. yeeun often asks the leader if she wants to go on walks or anything random as she knows hyemi will say yes. 

kyung areumi: areum and yeeun are somewhat awkward around eachother, mainly because yeeun finds herself with a slight girlcrush on areum, not to mention that areum is friends with her ideal type, ikon's bobby. despite this, yeeun loves how spontanious the elder girl is, although areum's talkative nature can sometimes be too much for yeeun to handle.

jeon suah: yeeun is suprising close to suah, although they are nothing alike at all. yeeun's optimistic manners tend to help suah relax and have fun from time to time. yeeun also knows about suah's relationship with lay of exo and will never let suah live down the stuttering mess she became the first time she saw lay on a music show. however, no suah will never let yeeun live down the time time she became a stuttering mess due to meeting chanyeol.

park hyemi: yeeun loves kemi's "grandma" persona, although they don't have the bond that she has with other members quite yet. kemi was also a jyp trainee, but also left the company a year before yeeun joined. the two usually team up with the other members that are studio ghibli fans and convince the rest of the group to watch howls moving castle for movie nights. 

park narin: nari and yeeun don't always agree on everything, but they generally get along well. nari often refers to yeeun as "that jyp girl" just to annoy her which tbh, it really does.

gong sara: sara usually turns to yeeun when things get tough, as yeeun is quite the inviting person. the two get along pretty well and although they are roommates, there seems to be an ever growing distance between them due to both girls focusing on the competition.

tamano keiko: it's not that yeeun dislikes keiko, it's just that keiko happens to be the girl that replaced her as the lead dancer. as a trainee, yeeun would help keiko and now yeeun almost feels like if she had kept shut she would still be the lead dancer of nova. yeeun isn't one for drama however and still keeps a friendly attitude around keiko as they still have to be in the same group and doesn't want any problems for anyone. only a few people know about yeeun's dislike towards the younger member and she plans on keeping it that way.

jeom dahee: before dahee joined nova she was one of the trainees that yeeun regularly visited with. they were acquaintances so things were still a bit awkward when dahee first joined, but over time she became one of the members who yeeun was closest to. yeeun dotes on little didi quite often and tries her best to take care of the younger girl, although they also get into quite a few arguments due to dahee's shenanigans. she's like that annoying younger sister that yeeun never had. PERSONALITY [ ⋆ ] genuine, goofy, caring, bright, park chanyeol is always the first to try and cheer someone up when he notices them down. chanyeol is an extremely optimistic person to the point of it being almost overwhelming at times. chanyeol is known to be the jokester of exo, and is known to be pretty easy going. although he has no problem telling someone off if he knows they are in the wrong and will put them in their place.
upon first impression chanyeol usually gets deemed as the "bad boy" but once you get to see more of him you'll know he's a genuine and caring person. chanyeol can be very moody at times and is sensitive to how people perceive him and his work. that's not to say he isn't proud of it, he just gets shy. he's definitely a hard worker and loves whatever he does. 

RELATIONSHIP [ ⋆ ] a very flirtatious relationship once yeeun let her guard down and opened up to chanyeol around the end of 2017. she slowly found herself falling for him and getting over yugyeom, ever slightly, while spending time with him when he wasn't busy. the two usually hang out in his studio where he'll help her out with her lyrics and compositions like he did with her first song fantasia entertainment accepted, like a fool. chanyeol gets her out of her shell and when she knows he's watching she'll give it her all on stage or variety programs, gaining yeeun a bit more exposure after fans noticed how much she's opened up lately. chanyeol enjoys teasing yeeun for various things like her height or a playful jab towards her groups popularity compared to exo's; or honestly anything that he knows annoys her just for the sheer enjoyment of annoying her. 

HISTORY [ ⋆ ]  Chanyeol had revealed he was a nova fanboy in 2017 after posting an audio clip of Nova's song "In My Dreams" on his instagram story. Shortly after that, it became a known fact that Chanyeol was a Yeeun fanboy specifically after dropping her name on a few radio shows while describing his ideal type - perhaps that's the reason why she's the most underrated member as his fans could be extra at times. There were even fan recorded moments where he would low-key fanboy over Nova & Yeeun at music and award shows.
Despite this, the two didn't formally meet until Sehun of Exo went to Nova's dressing room to wish his good friend Suah luck on Nova's special performance of "Summer Kiss" in July of 2017 and of course Chanyeol had to tag along with him. Turns out even Suah knew about Chanyeol's crush on Yeeun from Sehun and took this opportunity to tease the both of them about Chanyeol actually being a fan of hers since the Cherry Day days. Although Yeeun was flattered that someone as popular as an Exo member was a fan of hers, she was insanely awkward as she was also a fan of Exo's. Somehow, Suah convinced her to exchange numbers with Chanyeol and although she'd never admit it, knowing about his crush on her gave her somewhat of a much needed confidence boost while performing that day.
The two texted throughout the next few months but didn't reunite until the 2017 end of the year music shows. They had became quite good friends through texting but Yeeun was still a stuttering mess when she was actually around him in person, especially in front of the rest of Exo. Yeeun used Suah as her wingman and slowly opened up around Chanyeol on her own time. Eventually the two hung out as friends by going to an arcade in disguise or walking around Seoul at night, and Chanyeol would buy Yeeun little "friendship" presents whenever he would leave for tour.
Yeeun found herself eventually falling for Chanyeol's charms as he actually treated her like he was interested in her and not one of her friends. Slowly after Nova started filming for Make or Break Yeeun and Chanyeol's relationship intensified and soon they started to become more than just friends.

RELATIONSHIP [ ⋆ ] a very complicated relationship honestly. there's the obvious flirting, but yugyeom denies all feelings at first. they do all the skin ship that a normal couple would, but only when they're alone or with bambam. when they're around others it's a normal friendly relationship with confuses yeeun greatly. she's eventually convinced that yugyeom has friend zoned her, although the texts between the two and how they act when they're alone still confuses her enough to make her head hurt. but of course she'll never actually ask him what his feelings are, why would she set herself up for failure like that?

HISTORY [ ⋆ ] yeeun's had a crush on him pretty much since she was a trainee under jyp entertainment. however, yugyeom only saw her as a caring older sister and a good friend. as years passed, yugyeom started to gain feelings for another member of their friend group, which completely crushed yeeun at first.
however, there was another idol that had his eyes set on yeeun and ended up distracting her from yugyeom and bohee. yugyeom found himself annoyed with that since Yeeun was his friend first, and would always watch over Yeeun and Chanyeol like a hawk. At first, Yugyeom mistook his jealousy as feelings for Yeeun and things got all sorts of confusing between the friends after that.
