1. How long have you been designing?
Pretty much since I joined AFF, and I needed some graphics for a story of mine. I remember it as January (2017), but apparantly the upload date on the image-hosting site I have says April, so I'm not really sure ahaha. 

2. What do you use to design? 
I used Clip Studio Paint up until just yesterday, actually, where I discovered that I could download Photoshop (in a not very legal way b/c I'm absolutely broke) soooo I'm kinda using that right now and trying to figure out why CTRL+Z doesn't undo on it like any other normal program and I have to press CTRL+ALT+Z for it to undo. But yeah, there's so many cool features with PS but I miss using CSP because it has a much more friendly user-interface imao. 

3. What's your first ever poster? What's your latest poster?

Ok, but in all seriousness, my first poster isn't the worst poster I've ever made (and if you're wondering why Sehun's the only one who's in b/w that's because the story made it that way. He's a monotone man.) but it's the fact that Kyungsoo's face is halfway cut off by Jongin that bothers me so much. OTL



Comparably, I like this poster so much more, and it's my first poster made with PS. :D 

4. Which genres are your strengths? 
Um... historical? I just really like the colors and clothes and whatnot so it's super fun to work with! There are so many images too out there for good historical stuff (even though I HATE manipulating sooo basically I only use Baekhyun and Luhan when I have to make a historical poster for fun). 

      

I like darker stuff too. The darker, the easier. 

5. Which genres are your weaknesses? 
ROMCOM!
I swear, there is nothing worse than RomCom in the world. I can't do it. I want to layer so many textures and lighting on the poster, and the cut-paste "sticker looking" style of RomCom... I just... can't. 

Fluff is manageable, but RomCom is cursed. No. 

Also, I don't really know if this counts as a weakness, but I really hate working with idols I don't know. They don't really click with me, and if I don't like the request in the first place, I get super frustrated. (also I don't like having to check google to make sure the images I'm using for the idol are actually correct and I'm not using someone else who's named the idol but isn't the idol?? does that make sense?)

6. What's your design style? 
Dark stuff? I like textures and blending (well, before I got PS. I don't really know how to blend on PS someone help please), and I also really like using leaf/sparkle brushes. I think I'm still in the stage of trying to find out what my style is though. I'm constantly learning new things.

I want to get a more minimalistic style, but I like textures too much to do that. ;v;

7. Do you own a graphic shop? 
Yes. A lot, in fact. Well, not a lot, just three. But it feels like a lot.

8. Do you work for a graphic shop?
None besides my own...? b/c I'm lazy and handling two active ones is enough for me even though techincally one of the active ones isn't even really a graphics shop 

9. Are there any designers you look up to?
Everyone. ;;;v;;;

I'm not even joking; pretty much everyone on AFF is like, super pro and skills. 
(and pretty much if you're part of my staff @ Goldfish, I look up to you.)

(and also AXISfling, you'll probably never see this but I still don't know why you're working for my graphics shop you're literally so talented and your graphics are too lovely literally I can't) 

10. What's your favourite poster to date? 
This one's my favorite out of everything tbh, and it's pretty sad because it's fluff and fluff is one of my weaker genres. ; u ;
Still struggling with typography though. I need help with that. 

11. What's your least favourite poster to date? 
Ummm I feel ashamed but I have a lot and I can't really decide because they're all gross. There's just so much stuff I have from the days where I was stupid decided to open a graphics shop with barely any experience. Basically anything before around July, 2017.

And also, there's this one poster I actually made recently ft. Byun Baekhyun, and I didn't really like how it turned out mostly because my sister kept telling me how ugly and scary it was lol. 

12. How long does it usually take for you to finish a poster?
Um, around 1-3 hours, depending on what I'm doing? For some reason, I usually work super late at night right before I sleep, so it's kinda hard keeping track of time. 

13. Do you have a portfolio?
Yes, here!

It used to be called 'Fresh Toast', because well, my username, but I changed it to 'Simplicity' even though my graphics are anything BUT simple. I need to stop using textures. lol. I've switched portfolios a lot of times in the past though. 

14. Do you join graphic contests?
Well, I'm working on one right now. But this one will be the first graphics contest I'll ever join! 

(There's a really small preview of one of the entries of the contest... though we all know that click and drag is the way to go and see bigger images) 

15. If you write stories, do you make your own posters?
Yes, becaue I think that what other people will make me for my graphics won't be what I want in my mind, and I don't really like surprises. :/ I know the feeling as a designer that when requesters don't really like how the poster turns out, and I don't want to give the feeling for other people b/c I'm super picky.
