Life Questions lmao

Stole this from Peach but I decided to do only like 39 lmao
For mine, I will try to answer the questions with my honest thoughts without giving like a whole long speech because I enjoy philosophical and reading and thinking about human nature and . Also, feel free to come at me with discussions, regarding my answers etc

Disclaimer bc people are going to be sensitive about some things--this is my thoughts and opinions. Everyone has their own thoughts, values and ideas on certain things, it’s okay to disagree or agree. Being open-minded to others’ voices, is a good thing--learning different perspectives is always eye opening.

Tagging anyone who wants to do it, and I know my twin does, so you better do it when you can!

What harsh truths do you prefer to ignore?
None, bc it’s the truth. No matter how ugly the ing world is, and harsh some things can be, ignoring the “truths” or anything really, like problems, is ignorant in my opinion.

Is there a meaning to life? If so, what is it?
Biological aspect--live to reproduce but philosophically for me, there is. Life for me, is having the opportunity to live. Life isn’t easy but I believe the purpose is going through the bad and good in order to see what life is. And I believe that everyone has a purpose in life and it is what you make of it, in the end.

If someone you loved was killed in front of you, but someone created a copy of them that was perfect right down to the atomic level, would they be the same person and would you love them just as much?
No, because there could only be that one person and they were killed in front of you. Regardless, I feel like it wouldn’t be the same person at all. Again, as someone told me, there is only “one of you” in the world.

Does fate exist? If so, do we have free will?
Kind of, like yes and no. I don’t think fate is 100% all luck but I do believe there some things that happen at the right place and time that isn’t our control, but I do believe our free will and the choices we make, creates and shapes our future.

What does it mean to live a good life?
This is a subjective question because everyone has different ideas of a good life, similar with the idea of success. For me, a good life is living the life that satisfies you in the end and profiling your “purpose”, or goals.

Why do we dream?
For me, I think it is something hidden behind them or, symbolic. LIke if we dream about running away, it symbolizes that we are running away from something in our life etc

Does a person’s name influence the person they become?
Yeah, I mean, it affects you externally from childhood and it shapes you as you get older so yes.

Is suffering a necessary part of the human condition? What would people who never suffered be like?
Yes because you have to suffer in order to learn and grow. Failure is how we got to where we are in society. We have to suffer and endure the pains of life in order to reach goals or to improve ourselves. And not suffering, won’t give you the perspective of hard work or the perspective of “appreciation” of life.

What benefits does art provide society? Does art hurt society in any way?

No, never.

Why do we resist doing things that we know are good for our well-being while craving things that are detrimental to our well-being?
Short term thinking and wanting that instant gratification, is what most people are thinking, not long term or the effects of it in the long run. ie starting to workout etc

Culture, society, and people

Are intelligence and happiness tied together in any way? If you are highly intelligent, is it more likely that you’ll be more, or less happy?
Personally, I don’t know so. The reason is that you can have people who are highly intelligent but they’re not exactly happy. However, I do notice that highly intelligent people, usually enjoy learning and doing activities that do make them happier, so maybe?

Different people and different organisms perceive reality in vastly different ways. With that in mind, what is real and what is just our perception of reality? Or does every organism live in its own personal reality?
Real is what we all see but its our perception of reality that varies. I do believe we live in our own personal reality within the same real reality of each other. It is how we live and perceive it, varies.

Ethically, no but morally, yes.

Can morality ever be objective or is it always subjective? If it can be objective, in what instances? If it’s always subjective, how do we decide whose concept of morality is correct?
Subjective bc people have different morals and values; we decide the concept of morality is correct based on if the intention is a positive or negative one and possibly look at the outcome if it’s positive or negative
