stories to retell

I can't commit to writing my original ideas bc I'm too picky and too "omg what if it doesn't turn out good" or "what if what I have planned doesn't go the way I want" that I remembered retelling old stories is fun too. 

 

then I remembered one time I read this book that turned into Titanic but with werewolves and it was lit and now I'm like OMG I SHOULD DO A RETELLING OF TITANIC I WOULD HAVE EVERYONE SHOOK INCLUDING MYSELF!

 

So yeah, let me know what are some iconic stories/movies/books/dramas/etc. that would be fun to read a retelling version of on aff. Cause I know people do fairy tale retellings and I even was gonna do that but then I started writing a couple different ones and was like meh. Nonetheless, let me know what iconic tales would be cool to see a fanfic version of. And with what characters (like which idol x idol or oc x idol) 

 

Also if I did a Titanic retelling...I'm thinking Jackson x OC cause I haven't written about him in a while. But Sehun x OC could be good too. I feel like a Titanic story with anyone would be amazing lol but let me know your thoughts on who would be good in that kind of story.

How about Cheese in the trap?It could be great if it's OC x Sehun xKai or something like the series Riverdale like some people trying to find who killed who or Suicide Squad too.

Hmm, I’m thinking Boys Over Flowers, because the series was good at first with an awesome MC, but she soon turned into a damsel in distress halfway into the show & just, I couldn’t stand continuing it. (>n<) The pairing could be HunHan, that was the first ship that came to mind when I thought of a fanfic ver of it.
Or maybe Fairy Tail, that series was good when it started, but then it went downhill after Tenroujima Arc... It could be an xOC, bc I don’t really have a ‘pairing’ or anything for this.
If a Chinese show/movie, hmm- Farewell My Concubine? Yeah, that would be nice. X’D Maybe a Luhan x Male!OC? Since this is kinda a BxB movie, one-sided on the Dan’s side.
Just adding one more bc why not? //shot// Sherlock, with SuLay. I need Sherlock!SuLay in my life-

As for the Titanic retell, I think Jackson is a good choice! :D

The Titanic one with werewolves sounds interesting.
I'd like to see a retelling of "The Picture of Dorian Gray", the 1945 film version with Hurd Hatfield is my most favorite, I kind of hated the 2009 version with Ben Barnes. I feel like Xiumin might fit the role since he's the oldest EXO member but looks young, it could be XiuminxOC. There is kind of a BL (boys love) element but Dorian does have two female love interests.

I immediately thought of the Hunger Games lol, that would be interesting to see with OT12 Exo as the twelve districts :) Don’t know if anyone’s done that yet, but it would be awesome!

Snow White>male, lol, there are many characters, enough roles to be given to a boy band, including the step mother (or step father) , the hunter, the prince charming, and of course you can make your story with as many dwarfs as needed, not only 7.
As for me, I'd like to read a Kyumin fic where Snow White is Kyuhyun, and he falls in love with one of the dwarfs (Sungmin), not with the prince (Siwon)...Now stop me, until I will not write the whole fic in this comment!
