I saw a post on tumblr talking about someone's crazy personal experience that they've done IN THE NAME OF WRITING!!!
and i was like "hey i wanna make one too"

So here it is, some crazy stuffs I've done, all in the name of ""research"":

1. Getting myself piss drunk to know what getting wasted feels like.
2. Pausing in the middle of a food poisoning to get myself to remember how it feels to be extremely sick.
3. Having a very random first kiss(es) experience with some random uni friends because I decided it’s time to know how kissing feels for me to write a proper kissing scene.
4. Basically going into many new experience/bad experience/any type of experience tbh fueled 70% with the need to add them to my ‘writing reference’
5. Shamelessly asking my only close male friend about the and the .
6. Saying my dialogues in front of a mirror to see what expression would come naturally when they’re being said.
7. Having verbal discussion with my characters so that I might know what the hell they might do in certain scenes.
8. Stand in the bathroom for an extra 20 mins before I take a shower just because I’ve finally figured out a good way to continue a scene. (Tbh, just suddenly pausing your day to write that one scene that’s been bugging you because you’re afraid you’ll forget)
9. Wasting my money buying fancy cheeses so I can describe their flavour.
10. Going to New Zealand.
11. Putting a wonky, suspiciously made turmeric mask on my face when I have an important presentation the next day just to see how the colour looks on the skin, and if it stains (if you use powdered turmeric, it doesn’t)
12. Baking a pavlova at 2 AM because i want to know what /might/ go wrong when making it.

and so many more, probably, but those are the ones that stood out to me LOL
