looks can be deceiving

appearance Similar to faceclaim. He's averagely tall, has light coloured skintone, natural smooth flawless skin (due to his good skincare routine instilled in him since he was young), pierced ears (where he usually only wear one side of an earring), hair rarely on the long side - he likes to style it out of his face or only the forehead is hidden, long slim fingers and good posture. He doesn't like to use makeup much maybe something for the eyebrow or eyeliner and perhaps a tinted lip balm, but otherwise he has to be coerced into having makeup put on him.

style Very classic, average and boringly normal clothes, fit for each differnt occassions yet very normal, but somehow he looks just fine in them. He usually goes for bland one coloured or mimimal patterned clothing, rarely (or even never) clothes with large branding words or graphics on them. He likes to layer his clothing in colder weather, and happy to use  some acessories to add a little something to his overall style. His main (favourite) shoes are comfortable leather boots, second would be his several different styles of sandals. Of course dress shoes are fine when it calls for it, but if he can get away with wearing his boots to formal events he totally would.

Dorm/sleepwear is always oversized clothing made out of a soft material. Thick ones in winter, thinner and/or shorter ones in summer. Wears socks all the damn time, from the hottest day of the year to the coldest, he likes his socks don't try to seperate them. 

Training-wear would be something that is easy to move in and doesn't easily rip. so pants would be made of a stretchy material but at the same time would not be tights. (He doesn't like tights, too sticky to the skin). Top would usually be a slightly loose shirt of varying sleeve lengths, with either a v-neck or boat-neck cut. He doesn't much like dancing in crew-neck cut tees.

Airport fashion would generally either be dressed up for sponsors or whatever's been laid out the night before (by whoever wants to dress him up, he's not too picky) but it has to be at least somehow a tad related to his regular style, meaning something you can see him wearing. Otherwise he'll just wear his jeans, shirt, jacket, boots, watch, bag, + acessory combo.

(+) He's protective (like a mother bear of her cubs) of those he considers his precious people, so people like family, his team members, and his good friends.  Harm them and he will make sure to repay you what you've done times ten. His way of retribution is more of sharp, cutting words and sassy distant polite disregard rather than fisticuffs. You will feel his dislike/almosthatred of you. You need things going a certain way? He purposely make sure it goes the opposite. This deal will make your career? He will destroy it. Death is too good for the likes of you, he will make you suffer.

Mingkwan is excessively patient. Like a saint, you can not believe how patient he can be. Even if you purposely try to get to the end of his rope, ....it's going to be a looooong journey dear. The length of the rope does depends on how good your relationship to him is though, if he cares for you it's going to be a lot longer than if you are a stranger persistantly annoying him. Or an acquaintance who keeps dispiriting him (and the team members) *coughAreumandsomeoftheirtrainerscough*.

He's very good at putting himself in other people's shoes, understanding them leading to his empathy for what other people are feeling. Making people (sometimes even strangers) feel at ease with him, spilling their  problems (and story) and letting themselves get comforted by him with getting defensive or ashamed. He has avery comforting aura/presence. 

He always believes the best in people, optimistically believing everyone has good in them, doesn't believe in rumours much (unless there's some sort of evidence), which is proably why he always gets taken in by untrustworthy people. Although sometimes this endears him to some who would either feel bad and won't take advantage of him (rare) or remember him as an awesome dude and have a sweet spot for him (and be happy to do him some favours in the future). He likes to give second chances (or reserve judgement), but never third chances if you are stupic enough to also screwed that up. 

(=) Even with his saintly patience, empathy, and forgiving trust, there would of course comes a time when it all ends; where he runs out of patience, his empathy won't help you (as you would have deserved what's coming for you) and you've already wasted your second chance. When that happens his fury and wrath would burn with the strength of a thousand suns, and your life on earth would be hell, one way or another. Darling run for your life, but you won't get away =3 )

Mingkwan's a sassy man, he likes having sassy convos with anyone who can keep up and not get offended. He would always have a funny feel-good distracting somewhat-joking answer for any awkward or hard to answer question (usually in interviews or out in the public). Energetic in a way that he's always full of energy bouncing around being excited about things like a little kid and annoying sleepy people early in the morning (or not).

He's open-minded and very supportive for all kinds of  issues people stress out about, he's always in your corner, looking out for your best interests (most especially if you are one of his precious people). 

(-) Once he gets an idea in his head, it is very very very hard to talk him out of it. Persistant and stubborn he will single-mindedly do things his way, or insist on getting something done asap or perfectly even when it's not necessary, and/or he will definitely dig his heels in if you say No! You'd definitely need a different method to try to persuade him otherwise.

His sweet naiveness ties in with his too trusting nature of believing in people making him be the one forever being deceived by Areum and her company, and other unsavoury characters in the world.

It's unbelievable how the same person can be a damn tease trickster and bluntly tactless. He gives very flirty smiles and cheesy answers and seductive winking, or even telling tall tales and leaving a cliffhanger as the end, and then walk away like it was nothing, happily infruriating people to no end. He loves teasing people and getting a rise out of people, such as, seeing their face go red (either from embarassment or anger or ...) or any kind of reaction is good too. He can be quite frank to people, bluntly telling some 'your skills are not good enough do better and maybe we can talk', others 'you think you're worthy? definitely not', 'you don't work hard enough, why do you think your still at this level?' you might ask am I fat? or do I look pretty in this? and he'll tell you his thoughts exactly (e.g. yep, definitely. almost like a healthy cow. good stuff. or nope, are you sure you're not anorexic? definitely too thin, I fear you'd be blown away by a breeze. or even, I.... don't... see any difference...)

background Mingkwan is born to a fairly wealthy family in Bangkok, Thailand. A good work ethic, respecting everyone, and adherence to duties and responsibilities were instilled in him by them since young. For someone who's born with a silver spoon, he's a humble sweet guy who doesn't spend his money superfluously. He had Muay Thai lessons to help him protect himself if any unsavoury people somehow got through to try to kidnap him.

In school Mingkwan's pretty popular, people just seems to flock to him. Either due to his good looks (he's always been good looking in one way or another), his intelligence (he does not get lower than the top 15 of his grade), his reliability and gentlemenly chivalry, or his background of weath. He made one very good best friend though.

He likes all kinds of music, originally into classical music and OSTs and folk songs, he sarted to get into kpop (and jpop and cpop) from some friends (who are big fanboy/girls). He loves singing and making music to reflect his moods sometimes when he has nothing to do. Everyone says he has a good voice, so he got the idea into his head to become a singer musician artist. His family wants him to have no regrets and chase after his dreams, howeer they insist on him putting due emphasis on his studies and not let his grade drop just because he might not need them in his potential future career. He auditioned for the Korean entertainment companies' Global Auditions that were taking place and got into YG Entertainment. 

He's currently living in a small apartment by himself in Seoul, S. Korea while training. Parents sometimes visit when they have business that brought them to S. Korea.
