appearAnce & STYLE.

— Dressing style is very classic and average. Tops are usually a collared buttondown or a crew necked shirt or long-sleeved V-neck. Either plain coloured or patterned, rarely have graphics or brand names emboldened on it (unless of course he has to because he's endorsing the brand...?). If cold, then he wears a denim or faux leather jacket, or a hoodie. Pants are usually jeans, or slacks. Always over knee length, rarely if ever shorts (unless you know forced by the company to...). Shoes always some type of boots.

He is very imaginative and uses this quality as an accessory to empathy, observing others' emotional states and seeing things from their perspective. Being pragmatic though, it is a very practical imagination, however he does find some odd things quite fascinating and inspiring. Rather than offering sporadic, excited rushes that leave things half finished, Charlie is meticulous and careful, taking a steady approach and bending with the needs of the situation just enough to accomplish his end goals. This would not only ensure that things are done to the highest standard, but often go well beyond what is required. 

Charlie is a private and sensitive person, and internalise his feelings a great deal. Much in the way that he protects others' feelings, he protects his own, and this lack of healthy emotional expression can lead to a lot of stress and frustration. His strong sense of duty and perfectionism combine with his aversion to emotional conflict creats a situation where it is easy for him to overload himself - or be overloaded by others - as he struggle to silently meet everyone's expectations, especially his own. Valuing traditions and history in most of his decisions, a situation sometimes needs to reach a breaking point before he is persuaded to alter course, either by circumstance, or the strong personality of a loved one. 

His personality type is the type to be universal helpers; sharing their knowledge, experience, time and energy with anyone who needs it, and all the more so with friends and family. His standards for himself are also so high that knowing he could have done some minor aspect of a task better,  he often downplay his successes entirely, as well as it keep being on his mind for days.

bAckground. 

He’s born as the second child to a relatively well-off family, and brought up to be filal, hard-working and honest. His father, as an IT manager consultant was always moved around by his company to different countries, and so met and married his wife in Hong Kong, but then moved to Taiwan (and stayed as moving around with newborns and/or young kids is no good) where he and his brother were born.

Listening to classical music since he was little (his family's hobbies are quite instrumental; e.g. father knows how to play the violin, mother the piano, brother the guitar) he loves anything to do with music, learning how to play the cello almost to AMUS level.

During first year of high school he learnt about singing and dancing; he was excited to learn allll about this new venue of music. He became a floating member of several street dance crews, as in, he doesn't stay with one but goes around and join in the different crews for different songs. Being with the street dance crews he knows all the best places to have a dodgy ‘dance studio’ (if you can call it that...) to practice by yourself or with a crew. In Taiwan only though, in S. Korea, he doesn't since he's already under an entertainment company when he's in S. Korea (I don't think they let them do so...). He finds school productions interesting (and also sometimes sadly lacking people with enough performer talent), decides to join in anyway as a needed jack-of-all-trade extra support (actor/singer/dancer/stage crew/handyman/etc). 

He loved singing/dancing/performing so much that he decided to join the entertainment industry. As such, he decided to audition for several companies: taiwanese, chinese, korean, he's not picky, also ever since the Hallyu wave introduced the Global Auditions he has plenty to audition to. When he was in S. Korea on a vacation with his brother he came across an open audition (by Horizon Music), and decided, why not. With the assistance of his brother's language translating, he went through the audition stages successfully. Somehow he passed... 

As his older brother was studying in S.Korea for his medicine degree at the time, he was able to moved to S. Korea to undergo training, transfer high school to finish his studies and is currently living with his brother in an apartment. (Unless he is to dorm together with his team members when they debuted...?)

— Favourite kpop band is DBSK (when they were five members) he has all their albums until they spilt, after that he only get the ones that he likes

— Listens to a wide variety of music, in his phone you can find C K and J pop, ballads, random english songs that he likes, OSTs of anime dramas, movies and sometimes games, 'songs' that has no lyrics, definitely some classical music too. 

— He startles easily (aka easily scared), so he doesn't like horror movies

— His parents originally did not like the fact that he decided to become an idol, singer, part of a boyband. However, they had always wanted their sons grow up well and to be happy, and so, they are proud that they both decided to work hard and pursue their dreams

More reserved in variety shows, he's happy to allow his other members to shine more, he knows how to play off the MC/hosts' comments very well (usually the chinese/taiwanese shows, the korean ones not so much... he's learning though). When given the chance to show off however, he does it well, always making people either laugh or go wow.
