PERSONALITY:

No one would blame him for being the way he is once they know his history and what he went through and still goes through. He no doubtly lost who he is and knows it himself. He keeps rejecting help as monstrous thoughts cloud his mind. Surrounded by darkness, his demons keep trying to take over. Not even the light that his beloved brother shines on him is enough to help or save him entirely, but it soothes him and gives him hope. His past keeps dragging him down and back to his demons. ‘You’ve already killed someone before, it won’t hurt to do it again. DO IT’ They keep saying. All he ever wants to do is scream. But he doesn’t, cause that will show his weakness. This isn’t fair. He never asked for these powers. Ever since he got them, he keeps having these negative thoughts. He hates what he’s become. There’s a light, the sun, taking all the shattered ones but left him behind. Life is cruel. All is lost, but what remains is a glimpse of hope.

Wu Yifeng wasn't born with a piercing, deadly glare, or his “monster” reputation. He came to be like this... And it all started on that one day. Maybe it wasn't the day that his father became abusive, but this was the trigger. The day when he first discovered his power and killed his father, that was the birth to his new self; no longer the sweet, cheerful, and affectionate boy he was.

Yifeng is really strong-willed, he doesn't give up easily when things get tough. He strives to achieve his goals, but really nothing is quiet as satisfying to him as rising to the challenge of each obstacle in the way to his goal. Tasks that are long aren't so much of a problem to him. They might be annoying, but he can manage. Showing weakness to Yifeng is not an option. At all.

Yifeng became a very dark and sadistic person in order to please his demons a little. He likes to be dominant at all times. Also, he is distant from his own emotional expression and sometimes downright scornful of others'. He often tramples others' feelings, sometimes inadvertently hurting Yitian too, especially in emotionally charged situations.

He isn't the type of person to talk and converse freely with other people at all, he's quiet reticent. He is more quiet and reserved, and he finds silence to be more comforting than words. Nonetheless, the only person Yifeng communicates with is his little brother. Unlike most people who are far more tactful, when Yifeng speaks, he speaks the way he means it. There's no point in sugarcoating things in his opinion. If you want things done, you had better put it straight out there and as short as possible. So when he isn't quiet, he'll be very honest and completely straight-forward.

Most people shove back when they get pushed, but Yifeng is more like run you over with a truck, with an emotionless look plastered on his face. He becomes physically aggressive once his short tempted patience is worn out. Talking is something he would rather avoid, more so because actions are spoken louder than words. His anger is very cool and collected, and is, perhaps, a bit too calculative for comfort.

Stubborn and determined, once Yifeng is set on something, let it be a belief there's a good chance you won't ever get him to budge, but it's for your benefit you should be on the same side as him. If he has his sights set on something, it would be hard to shake him off of it.

BACKGROUND:

Yifeng was born into a wealthy family where his parents were both CEO’s to a large successful mega corporation, Dynasty Group. It started off small: a hotel chain in China for rich customers that came from America for business all the way to Seoul. His mother who was in charge of the chain in Seoul used to take him with her every time she went there for business.

His childhood was a typical family set-up. Birthday parties, family outings, and etc. Then his mother gave birth to his baby brother, Yitian, when he was 9y. and Yifeng loved the boy the moment he laid eyes on him.

After 3 years, his mother was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and passed away later that year. Yifeng was devastated at her death but not as much as his father. Yifeng mostly felt bad for Yitian who didn’t get to spend much time with his mother, so from that day onwards, Yifeng vowed to always protect and be there for the younger no matter what.

His father really went downhill. He locked himself in his room and stopped going to work. No matter how much he knocked on his parent’s room, his father wouldn’t answer. So he gave up after a couple of months. Also, Yitian started going to school with him, so he always made sure the younger reached the school safely before going to his.

His father started drinking every night and left his room. He fired all the workers in the mansion saying he doesn’t need them anymore. His dad was always drunk and would start yelling out of anger and then he resulted to breaking stuff in the house. Yifeng tried to calm him down, but little did he know that that was a ver bad idea cause that’s when a hand slapped him across the face. Yifeng’s eyes opened wide, in shock and pain. He stared at the floor, still not believing what had just happened. It was the first time that his dad had every laid a hand on him, but it definitely wouldn't be the last. Yifeng thought that his dad was just really sad, so he took his slap as a way of relieve, reasoning that his dad didn’t mean it cause he’s too drunk. Yeah... he hit him because he was drunk out of his mind, that's all it was in Yifeng’s head. But it wouldn't be 'reasonable' for long.

Days went by and the hitting continued. Now Yifeng was just his dad's punching bag. He always cowered into a fetal position every time his dad raised his hand, pleading for him stop. He screamed, he cried, but his father never stopped. "Yell all you want," the man whispered as he grabbed Yifeng’s head by his hair, and pulled his ear closer, "It's not like your mother is here to protect you anymore.” It was so terrifying. How someone who used to be so sweet, and a successful man in his profession, and well kept on the outside, could do this to his son.

The smart bastard made sure to not leave bruises or scars on his face, so Yifeng was able to hide those that were all over his body by always wearing long sleeves and turtle necks. And like that, he’d attend school like nothing is wrong, but when he comes back home, the nightmare starts.

One thing Yifeng made sure of was that he was always his father’s target and never Yitian. He’s too young, pure, and precious for this.

15y.

His “dad” seems to have gotten bored, so the beatings became infrequent. Yifeng also stopped pleading, screaming, or crying when his father did, and instead would just wince.

One day, when he was coming back from school, he entered the mansion to witness his father beating up Yitian and the younger’s left shoulder was bleeding. Shattered glass were scattered on the floor. His heart stopped beating for a second. With no hesitation, Yifeng ran to block Yitian from their dad. His back was facing his dad so that became his next target and he started yelling about how worthless they both are. All Yifeng could do was wince and hold Yitian close. But then, surprisingly, Yifeng no longer felt any pain even while his dad was still hitting him. When he looked down to look at Yitian, he noticed the youngers arms that’s holding him had his veins visible and they were dark and moving. He stayed quiet and just closed his eyes.

Yitian opened up to him and told him about his powers. Of course, Yifeng had his suspicions, but avoided mentioning it cause he didn’t want to make the younger uncomfortable so he just waited until he was ready. Their father always called those with supernatural powers as “monsters”, so they grew up hearing how much of a disgrace they are. But that was Yitian, and Yifeng knows the younger well. And he knew how scared and insecure the younger must have felt when he knew about them. So he made sure the younger knows that he’s not what his father called a “monster”.

The only thing keeping him going with all his father’s is the fact that he’ll be legal next year and so he can leave this terrible mansion and take his brother with him. He knows his father won’t do anything cause he’d want to avoid getting in a controversy with the public.

Anyway, one day, after coming back from school, he came back again to find his father beating up Yitian. The younger was all balled up and Yifeng can clearly see the bruises forming on the other’s skin. At the sound of Yitian’s whimpering, Yifeng lost it.

‘he’s a filthy abusive man who calls himself a father. you know, can hurt him, just say the word.’ these loud voices kept repeating themselves in his head.

“Stop it! You’re hurting him!”

‘just say it. you know the word. hurt him. kill him.’

Stronger than ever, the voice stresses, ‘Pain.’

He could faintly hear Yitian yelling out his name, but the voices inside him urging him to hurt, kill, was far stronger than anything at that moment.

So he gave in.

“Pain.”

Right there at that moment their father toppled to the floor seemingly... in pain. He kept holding his head and thrashing on his hair, letting out an ear bursting scream, until minutes later… he stopped. He was just laying on the floor still.

Then long story short, Yifeng tended Yitian’s bruises told him to stay in his room and called the cops. When they came, he told them that his father had suddenly fainted, they checked him to find no pulse, so he was reported as deceased by a fatal headache. Police told the two brothers that a family member of theirs is going to stay with them which was a shock to them cause he was told by his parents that they didn’t have any relatives. Their aunt came the next day, she immediately knew that her nephews had powers just like she does, which their father apparently didn’t like so he cut all ties with her. Anyway, she offered to help them get to the sanctuary in Wudong Mountains, China, and they took it cause well, neither of the boys wanted to stay at the mansion anymore.

18-28y.

Yifeng and Yitian spent peaceful years in the sanctuary. They actually almost sent Yifeng to The Atmosphere after knowing what his power is, but in the end let him stay and prevented him from saying the word “pain” out of practice until he learns how to completely control his power. Also, the voices in his head always accompanied him ever since he knew of his power and most times gave him headaches which made it extremely hard for him not to comply to their whispers of them telling him to hurt others.

When news got out of the New Zealand sanctuary evacuating their students and staff, their own sanctuary began their own evacuation, and so Yifeng bought an apartment in Shanghai with their inheritance money and moved there with Yitian. There though, he noticed his brother became kind of depressed for leaving his "home" and friends. So when Yifeng heard about the recently built sanctuary at Incheon, he decided to go there in hopes of making Yitian happy again. Upon arriving there, Yitian was really glad to see his three close friends there too. And so, Yifeng felt fulfilled seeing his little brother smile brightly like he used to.

TRIVIA:

✩ He calls the voices in his head his inner-demons. The more he ignores it, the louder it gets, and the more severe his headaches get. So basically, he's in constant pain most of the time i dont blame him for being cold & moody 24/7 tbh.
✩ Took up boxing classes after school in as a way to relieve his anger towards his dad and sad life. Even after moving to the sanctuary, he'd practice boxing to relieve his stress and in hope of getting his head off the annoying voices in his head.
✩ The higher-ups in the sancturies sometimes privately called him for assisstance where he had to use his power to extract information from enemies. Though you wouldn't see him complaining cause well he enjoys it. Seeing others writhe in pain gives him pleasure, and mostly soothes the voices in his head for once.
✩ He has to say "Pain" in order for his power to work and only works on one object of his focus.
✩ Doesn't like how soft and social Yitian is, so he feels like he needs to constantly keep an eye on the younger and protect him.
✩ Is constantly poker-faced. People think he's emotionless and they're not completely wrong.
✩ Considers Yitian as his only family and friend. So losing him would just leave him devastated.
✩ In order for him to practice the amount of pain he gives, Yifeng had to practice on animals like rats and he has killed many in the process. So animal lovers definetly wouldn't like hearing this. Though he's gotten the hang of it after a year and a half.
✩ After years of practicing, he mastered to control the level of pain he delivers to others.
✩ NEVER EVER takes Yitian's offer of transfering his mental pain from his demons (severe headaches) cause he knows that the younger will transfer it to himself and he'll never allow that.
✩ Drinking for him is out of question. It's bad enough for him to have a constant headache and it reminds him of the past he never wants to think of again.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Yifeng hates him. No, he despises him. Just the thought of him makes Yifeng infuriated, which some students know about. So most brave enough students reel him up by mentioning his abusive father. And surely, they regret it afterwards.

✩ Mother - Li Zetian (died at age 37) / CEO / sweet, hard-worker  / 8/10
He loved her and shared many good memories with her, so it was no surprise that he was devastated at her death. She died when Yitian was only 3y. and he knew that his mother would've wanted him to take care of the younger, so he vowed to do just that even if his life depended on it.

He didn't trust her, but she was the best chance they had for a better life so Yifeng just took her offer to help.

✩ Little Brother - Wu Yitian (19y.) / Student / soft, outgoing, considerate / 9/10
Yifeng's only weakness and soft-point and reason behind his sanity. Everyone knows of his soft-point for the boy cause he has this constant displeased look but when he looks at Yitian, his eyes instantly become softer. Everytime Yifeng get his urges to hurt or kill, Yifeng would think of the younger in order to control himself which works most of the time. He loves his little brother so much and cares for him in his own way and is really protective of him.

 

Everybody says that something’s different,

that I’ve changed.

They tell me somewhere I turned cold,

that I used to be so affectionate.

They claim they don’t understand.

They tell me I used to be cheerful

but now my eyes and tone of my voice lost its light

and it all became dark and scary.

 

Unsure whether it’s because of the painful memory

but I go on by emptying my heart.

Lucid hearts are defective products of this world.

That’s why I badly want to taint mine.

So I guess I want to become worse and worse.

I get angry easily when I used to not

I’m not myself.

 

I question, “What is me?”

but of course I know only too well.

I can’t bear to look at myself.

Whether I’ve been embraced or have closed my eyes,

I just can’t sleep at ease.

I start to quarrel

and my mouth that once used to whisper 

so many kind words has been tainted by a profanity.

Atrocious. Humans are atrocious.

 

Only thing that’s worse than you is,

I, who couldn’t forget you and ended up being tainted.

I, who continues to act cold towards the other people.

Bad, it’s so bad.

It hurts. It hurts so much.

LAST COMMENT: I've been wanting to make a really dark character for a while now so hahaha my angsty self is revealing. And, I don't care if either of my character's die. In fact, I hope you kill off one of the brothers lol. Anyway, Yitian's app is next.

SCENE REQUEST: 

✩ Let him be over protective of Yitian. Like he sees another student the same age as Yitian insulting his brother in front of the younger but of course Yitian does nothing, so when the student hardly pushes Yitian and he falls, Yifeng gets pissed and uses his power on the student and only stops when Yitian yells for him to stop.

✩ For his love interest to try to help him control his inner-demons and thirst for hurting and killing.

✩ He gets overwhelmed by his demons to the point where he accidently uses his power on Yitian, who was trying to help him. Then when he realizes and stops, he looks horrified. Yifeng panics and runs off. Then he puts some distance between himself and Yitian, afraid to hurt the younger again.
