PERSONALITY:

Seo Gayoon is the girl who can't be stopped and is on a one way track to somewhere. She's an active girl who's up for anything, just say the word and she'll be there for really no reason, mostly because she doesn't need one. If it seems interesting or fun she's be there, even if she's not necessarily wanted there. Of course that means she doesn't stay in one spot for too long in fear of it getting too dull and boring. She's also super easy going following along with the up for anything attitude she literally will not say no if it sounds like a fun time. Gayoon doesn't ever seem like anything end up getting under her skin or is bothered by things. She bounces back quickly and it doesn't take long before she's back to her normal perky self asking about what they'll be doing today. When she's around everyone knows something is going to happen and it'll always be an adventure. She's all about doing things out of the box and often comes up with solutions that are both out and and probably not going to work or if it does it's not great. It's the thought that counts right?

She's all about doing things a different way and finding new things that will work, because doing it the same way every single time is way too boring. Gayoon has absolutely no problem talking about herself and is probably a little too honest and open about things. Ask her a question, any question, and she will give her honest opinion no matter how crazy and outlandish it may seem. She feels like hiding it makes a person feel all the stress, and that's not something she really wants to force herself to feel, as it takes the life out of people. Now she may not be determined and has a set goal, besides just living life, but she does have a strong set of mind that allows her to not be bothered by situations that would normally stress a person out. She'll just shake it off, pick herself back up and get back to doing whatever else she wants to do. 

However due to her carefree nature she is quite absentminded, and forgets a lot of important details since most of the time they aren't that important to her, because if they were she would definitely remember it. She can be caught off guard a lot as she's usually off thinking about anything and everything under the sun when during her brief periods of rest. Because of her nature she's quite casual and can come off as pretty informal and rude to those older than her as she's not one to concern herself with formalities. Life's too short to be stepping on eggshells to not offend someone. If they do get offended then it was a reflection of them and not her.

Gayoon does have a problem not sticking her opinion in and can be outspoken at times, especially if it's something that she's excited about. She's been known to make an outburst in class because she just thought of the coolest thing and felt the need to share it with the world. Granted it never ends well and she does get into trouble quite a bit for causing a disturbance, but it never stops her from doing it time and time again. She is also rather unpredictable and no one ever knows what she's going to do or what's going to come out of next. From going from waist length hair one day to a short bob the next to coming with a new pet turtle she just had to buy from a pet store. There's just no end to what she'll do.

Gayoon's nonchalance and overall easygoing nature makes her come across as very airy. She doesn't ever seemed bothered by things that she should definitely be concerned about, such as practicing her powers to gain better control. However every time it's brought up she just waves it off saying it's not a big deal and she's got plenty of control already. She has absolutely no problem admitting that she's seriously irresponsible and has no sense of responsiblity or urgency. Its no fun to worry about what might happen if this or that isn't done and well Gayoon is all about fun. If that means that she's constantly repremanded for it and told how she needs to get it together she can live with that. She's also seen as a foolish girl who really needs to get herself together, and start taking life more seriously. It's hard to take her seriously when she can't even be serious for more than a short amount of time. She's definitely the jokester and a lot of the time it causes more trouble than good. 

Although she can be a lot of fun and is very open about herself and her opinions a lot of people find her obnoxious and hard to be around. Random outbursts, occassionally running around like a chicken with it's head cut off because of something she thought of and was too excited, there's really nothing that can stop her, and after a while it can get a bit old. Gayoon has non stop word vomit and is quite clumsy with her words. She has a gift of saying the worst thing at the worst possible times and then tries to make a joke of it that only makes a bad sitution worse. She has no tact at all and it shows. She is also very easily distracted and doesn't stay doing the same thing for long. Practice for a while up until she gets distracted by whatever, it could literally be a minute video of a puppy someone shared and then hours later she's still watching unless she found something else that interested her. 

BACKGROUND: 

Seo Gayoon was the product of a last stitch effort to save a marriage between Seo Jungsik and Seo Eunha. They had been fighting for a while now, but neither wanted to end their already long ten year relationship and had decided that having a child was going to be their last chance at working this out. Unfortunately like most other relationships the stress of a baby only added to the already frayed relationship and when Gayoon was two had decided to go through with divorce. Now although her parents didn't get along it didn't stop them both from still looking after their only daughter. They share custody and though separated were close enough so that she didn't have to worry about missing school if she wanted to see her father, as she most of the time stayed with her mom. She was always a rambunctious little thing who had a hard time staying still, but for the most part seemed normal. Both of her parents didn't have any powers so neither one had even thought about the chance of their child having them. 

Gayoon's love of cards and card tricks started at a young age, she had seen a street performer with her mom when they were out shopping one day and was completely mesmorized by the tricks and illusions. She was hooked and had to know the secrets behind them and learn them. She begged her mom that day to buy her a pack and a book of tricks that she can learn, and started studying it immediately. Honestly Eunha was happy to see her daughter so enthusiastic about something, though she wished that same energy was put into studying but it was something. It wasn't until she was ten years old when her powers had started to manifest. She was showing her mom a new card trick when she had turned the table into a card and then back into the table in the middle of their living room. Both were completely shocked but while Gayoon thought it was the coolest thing Eunha thought the exact opposite. She didn't know what to do or even if she should disclose this with her ex-husband since she honestly wans't completely sure about what she was going to do with her new situation. She had heard of other children and adults who have these powers but she didn't know anyone personally who did. So she told her to hide it and not to show it to anyone which didn't make Gayoon very happy. She wanted to show everyone her new trick, but she soon learned that she really couldn't control it very well. 

She tried, she really tried to make it work but she couldn't ever get it just right some objects wouldn't even budge or she launched a card into the wall sticking there when she had concentrated too hard but not on the right thing. She couldn't get a control of it and the more she failed the more it upset her which ended up with more cards stuck in her wall. The frustration through the years only seemed to worsen Gayoon's situation. She wanted to help her daughter the best she could, but didn't know where to start. Luckily she had overheard a coworker of hers talking about some school in New Zealand that took in kids with powers. She had decided to speak to her ex-husband about possibly sending Gayoon there as a way for her to learn to control her power so she didn't end up cutting someone with a card without meanng to. Of course she never anticipated her daughter trapping a living object in a card, but when she was fourteen she was petting her neighbor's outdoor cat and turned him into one of her cards. Needless to say the neighbor, who had seen the incident was not okay and freaked out on the poor fourteen year old who was just as confused as she had never tried to create a card out of a living creature before so she didn't know she could even do that. It was then that Eunha had pushed for the idea for Gayoon to travel to the sanctuary in New Zealand, and without needing much convincing Jungsik agreed and off she went. 

New Zealand was an adjustment for Gayoon. She hardly had known any English and she really wasn't super into trying to learn it, since it was boring. She did though after finding a friend in a guy named Jace, who could control water. They balanced each other out, he was more calm and reeled her in while she made him see more than just his face inside a book. He helped her study and become better at English, but he couldn't stop her from not bursting out in class or causing some kind of trouble some way. She ended up loving being in New Zealand and though a lot of the kids didn't end up liking her it didn't matter because those who she did get along with made it all the more better, and she had upped her card tricks and loved anyone who asked her for them and would do it on the spot. She had a professor who had helped her out and made it her mission to help Gayoon focus and get better control of herself and in turn her power. From the help she had gotten control of the card control and could move them in any way that she wanted from a vortex around her to just making in her words awesome card castles as tricks, she had it down pact. However she still could not get a grip on how to control turning objects into cards and then back again. Some days she couldn't do it at all and others she would be turning just about everything into one. She also could not get a control on how long to keep them cards. During these sessions she was told to try and start to use the cards to teleport herself, basically becoming the card and using them to move from one side of the room to the other. Most of the time she's ended up with a face wall or stuck as a card for a long period of time. It was something she has been working on.

She kept practicing though mostly because of Jace's and her professor's means of keeping her focused to get better. However when they heard the attacks happening on the other branches everyone got worried. Gayoon had at first decided to stay in the school along with many of her friends, as going to the atmosphere wasn't something that she wanted to do. However when the news got to them about the tradegy that happened at the location in India, even carefree Gayoon would be lying if she wasn't a little scared. So she had decided that she would go back home to her mother and father. It was a tough decision since she had grown to love New Zealand, but thought it would be better for her if she went home instead. As much as Eunha was happy to see her daughter again, she still couldn't trust that her daughter wouldn't accidently hurt them, and was working on trying to find somewhere to send her, since her father also was not equipped to handle her. When news came that a location was being open here in South Korea in Incheon, Eunha pushed her daughter to go, and well Gayoon is always up for an adventure so she went fairly willingly.

♠ Will do card tricks for literally anyone who will watch them  
♣ Gets antsy if she has to sit for a long period of time and will start to fidget
♠ Loves all kinds of weather, and will find a way to go outside even if its raining
♣ Has no problem with bugs and will be the one to pick it up and show it off
♠ Has a deck of playing cards that she keeps on her at all times
♣ Is really good at video games 
♠ When she gets her mind set on something she will not stop until she has it finished, something that's better and more interesting comes along
♣ Doesn't have a plan or an idea on what to do with her life and is just kind of coasting along

Gayoon loves her mother and tries not to worry the woman too much, since she's more concerned that she would end up dying from worrying too much. It was because of that reason why she mostly didn't fight going to the Incheon campus after coming back from New Zealand. It made her mom happy, so even if she wasn't super thrilled about going back to a santuary after the attacks. (FC Kim Hyesoo)

Gayoon isn't super close to her father, after she had gotten older and her powers had manifested he made himself a littl scarce in her life. However he still got her birthday gifts and spoke to her occassionally, mostly talking about his job and how busy it made him. She never let it bother her, she understood that he was working around it and he could have been way worse so she will take what she can get. (FC Cha Seungwon)

Jace, or Ace as she had dubbed him to go with her own nickname Joker to match, is her best friend and although they are literally in different countries it doesn't stop the two of them from talking and being super close. She always brings up her bestie in conversation bragging about how awesome and super cool and chill he is. It's a tad embarrassing for him but he appreciates her outgoing and easygoing personality to help actually chill him out. He does always remind her to practice and to pay attention since he's not there to bring her attention back to the lessons at hand. (FC Logan Lerman)
