Long Fu Chen
"I'm the Morning Lotus Dragon, Motherf*cker" - by Chen herself (lol)

Other Name: Yong SuChen is her korean name (Long Fuchen is the chinese one)
Nicknames: Chen, everyone call her that, there is barelly need of her full name, any of them.
Birthday: [21st May; 393](21st May is the day she arrived at the Shaolin Temple, she doesn't know her real birthdate)
Birthplace: Hanseong (atually Seoul)
Hometown: Dengfeng, Hunan (Shaolin Monastery) and somewhere in the Wuyi mountains in Fujian Province (Shouthern Shaolin Temple). Although nowadays she lives in Seoul.
Ethnicity: korean

Language:
Mandarim / fluent / She learned to read and write in mandarim, and since it was a long time ago, she's good at that ancient chinese too.
Min (chinese dialect) / fluent / She spent around one century in Fujian, so she learned Min too.
Korean / fluent / Although she learned it was latter in her life, it should have been her mother tongue, and she live in Korea nowadays.
English / fluent / She has been learning it since the  late 1800, so yeah. You need to know that if you want to comunicate with the other warlocks around the world.
She is also decent at latin, but she is a lot better with demonic dialects such as Chthonian (you can't say she's 100% fluent with those, the most a semi-fluent, but it's enough to cast the spells. She's specially good with the write form, so she can crack a magical circle like no one else)

Face Claim: Heize
Backup Face Claim: ?? Maybe Cheetah
Height & Weight: 165cm & 55kg

Appearance: Green-ish hair, little green-ish reptile scales covering her knees and elbows and reptile eyes (slit pupil and extra inner side eyelid). She also has a fit body, lean but muscular, because of her raising by shaolin monks.

Style: She's always wearing hipster-ish casual clothes and a must is that she always has to have her knees and elbows covered, so if her clothes are not long enought for it, she will be wearing knee high socks and arm warmers to cover it, so the mundanes won't see her scales when she walks on the streets. Some examples: 1 2 3

Personality

[Positive] Affectionate, Attentive, Responsible, Honest
[Negative] Defiant, Overprotective, Short-tempered, Bossy

Because of her raising by Shaolin Monks, Chen turned out to be a person that holds her responsabilities very seriously and that also doesn't tolerate wrongdoings and lies. And despite the fact that she was teached to control her emotions, this couldn't hold her true affectionate nature. The years of hardship and the ephemeral life of humans made her value the people around her, so she's very open about her feelings and she likes to help people. She will be always open for their needs, and this is also something that she inherited from the monk's ways, the altruism.

But also because of everything she saw and went through, she turned out to be overprotective. She doesn't want ther loved ones to hurt themselves, or to go throught the same things she did (specially her son) and she also tends to be bossy if she thinks her ways will protect those she care about. Although she can also be bossy when it's related to something of her work, specially if they are on field work and in dire situations, she usualy knows the best way and she will be the pain in the as* if this keeps everyone alive. Part of her demonic heritage also shows up in her personality, making her short-tempered (something that she learned to control a lot better after all those centuries) and defiant. She has some problems in abide by orders, so usualy she needs to be the one in charge and if not, she will be defiant and fight for her way.

background

She was born in 1624 as the youngest of Queen Inyeol's child, in Joseon dinasty. The Great Demon Yanluo had taken the form of King Injo while he was still away taking care of the Manchu invasions, and the Queen didn't even question the weird events of her king not remembering of making love with her in that specific night (although they made it after too). It was only when the baby was born and the Queen saw all the tiny green-ish scales that adorned the infant's knees and elbows that she understood that something was wrong. She panicked. She knew couldn't show this little monster to the king, so with the help of her maids she exchanged the baby girl for a baby boy that was also born in that night from a servant. He was then named Yi Gon, the Grand Prince Yongseong, but he had a short life of only five years.

On the night of the exchange, the Queen sent away the baby girl and the servant that had given birth to the baby boy, sending then to chinese territory since they had a good relationship with the Ming dinasty. After many weeks the servant reached the Shaolin temple in Henan and presented the baby to the monks, imploring them to take care of her. She colapsed short after and died some days latter from exaustion. So the baby girl was raised by the monks and was named 'Chen', because she arrived at the temple at the Dragon hours (7AM to 9AM) and it seemed appropiate considering her tiny scales and her eyes.

Chen was raised kind of genderless and was raised and trained as one of the pupils in the temple (so she had shaved head and all). The monks considered her some sort of signal from the heavens, and thus they did their best to raise her in the right path of honor and compassion.

When she was 17 the temple was attacked because the monks supported the Ming Dinasty, and who survived flew to the southern, and way more hidden, Shaolin temple in Fujian. She lived there until the beggining of the 1700s, when the Northen Temple was restored by the Qing Emperor.

It was also during the attack and the following escape from the temple that Chen first discovered her powers. Until them she deemed everything as the inner energy the monks always told her about, but when she created a blast of pure magic that burned her enemies and allowed them to escape, she knew it was something else. In the end it was good that they went into hiding in the Wuyi mountains, because she spent most part of the next century studing, training and aprimorating her powers. At first she managed to just control her inner power, but she only advanced in spell knowledge when another warlock arrived at the temple and shared with her his knowledge. His skin was yellow-ish and he had monkey-like features such as a long monkey tail, golden-brown fur covering many parts of his body and monkey feet. He spent decades with Chen but never shared his name, telling her to call him only "Master". She started to call him "Master Wu Kong" because his physical features made her remember of mythical Sun Wu Kong. He never said anything against it, so until this day she wonders if he was the real Sun Wu Kong. After she moved back to the Northen Shaolin Temple, she never saw him again.

She stayed some more years in the newly reconstructed Temple, helping everyone settle in, but soon she felt like her home had changed too much, and that she needed to see the world for herself. All of her masters and brothers were dead at this point, human life showing how ephemeral it could be, so around 1720 she left the temple and adopted the name "Long Fu Chen". The heads of the temple promised her that she would always have a home there, if she ever needed it. So since them she started her peregrination around the world, selling her services as a Warlock and making a name for herself. During her travels she met many other downworlders, as a certain cat-like warlock named Magnus that she keeps in contact until this day. She also learned who her father was during her travels and her services, and she was close by when his nest was destroyed and he went rampage on the Shadowhunter family that run the Shanghai Institute. She didn't arrived in time to try to stop the bloodshed, but she took care and watched over the surviving boy until the other Shadowhunters arrived. She also helped to deliver the drug that he needed to stay alive. She also didn't cry when she received the news that Yanluo was killed, after all, she had never met him.

By the end of the XIX century she met a troublemaker fledgling that would later mature into the love of her life, and she went through all the world wars with him. During her life she saw truly dark periods, of war, violence and famine, and while she survived throught all of this and became stronger, it also made her more gratefull for the little things in life.

trivia

- Although she doesn't does it often, only when she's really mad, she can swear like a sailor, because, well, she learned how to swear from sailors lol

- She has a pet iguana and she named him Shenlong.

- Her house is fully decorated with dragon motifs of all kinds.

(adoptive) Son / Long TaiHang / 22 / Warlock / Laidback, Mischevious, Cheeky, Affectionate /
Long Tai Hang, also known by his korean name as Yong Tae Hyung, is a young warlock way too laidback, probably because of his mother's position as a powerful warlock. He was adopted by Chen 22 years ago after the Seoul Institute contacted her to say that there was a baby with a white fox's tail that was dropped at their doorstep. At first they wanted her just to check if she could find who the baby was or who his parents were, but by the time the Institute decided they would take him in, Chen had already talked with her partner and decided they would adopt him. She named him Tai Hang and his -adoptive- father chose 'Taehyung' as his korean name. Tai, as everyone calls him, was raised as a mundane (he went to mundane schools and had mundane friends too) but was always aware of the other side. After all, he had to learn how to control his powers and how to cast the glamour to hide his tail by himself. He also is truly his mother's son, because they share not only the same worldview, but they are also both very affectionate people, and you can frequently find them kissing each other's cheeks, hugging and tickling each other. Outside people that don't know them (specially mundanes) oftem mistake them as a couple when it's just the two of them.

skills

Combat: 5?: She is a Wu Shu master, after all, she was raised by Shaolin monks. She's specially good at the Serpent style.
Weaponry:?: The only weapon she managed to master is the Gun (a.k.a that long wushu stick), because her warlock master helped her with it. All the other weapons the monks tried to teach her, she ended exploding it accidentaly.

Q & A
Answer in your pov

Q - What species are you?
A - I'm a Warlock. Pretty easy to see that by the eyes and scales.

Q - What do you think about Shadowhunters?
A - Something along the lines of a "necessary evil"? Or maybe an "annoying necessity"? They keep peace and protect humans, but we know how much trouble they can also create. Just look at the poor law abiding vampires that were killed "for sport" during the time Bram Stocker's 'Dracula' made success. Or the Dark War. Although I know to not judge everyone by a single person, so if they don't screw it, they can keep my trust. Besides, I did helped on Shadowhunter's matters more than once when the Institute called for help. I prize peace and order too, you know?

Q - What do you think about Downworlders?
A - As same as the Shadowhunters, when you can't judge everyone by a single person, Downworlders are even more diverse, since they change not only between species, but also from individual to individual. All in all, I'm also one of them, so I can't discriminate, but I judge someone by their actions, not by what they are.

love relation

First Meeting: He was a fledgling. And totally lost about what was happening. Chen had to take care of him and latter guide him through his vampire transformation. That was all the way back to 1895.

Interaction: They are like an old married couple. Because they are literally that lol They bicker a lot, Jun loves to tease Chen and in return she usualy slap the back of his head a lot, but they love each other a lot too. If you stop to notice them interacting when they think they are alone, you will see that Chen actually is really caring and affectionate with him, while Jun looks at her like she is his queen.

The flow: Things are going well, despite the fact that Jun made a sport out of teasing and annoying Chen. If you ask Taihang, he will say that's the weird way his parents show their love for each other in front of other people.

Ending: Maybe an actual wedding party since now Jun is old enough of a vampire to not be affected by holy simbols anymore? (And it probably would be a budihst cerimony because of Chen)

Face Claim: Dean
Backup Face Claim: ?? maybe Jay Park
Height & Weight: 177cm & 67kg

Appearance:[nothing different from the face claim]

Style: His style is 100% boho chic, something that makes him look like a fashionable modern pirate. He wears lots of long necklaces and flowing clothes, and for sure he inspires himself in Johnny Depp's style. Some examples: 1 2

Personality

[Positive] Playful, Loyal, Supportive, Determined
[Negative] Infuriating, a Teaser, Smug, Nonchalant

First of all, you will notice that Jun is a very playful person and that he's easy to befriend (although there is also little that he takes seriously in the first try). He's also a very determined person, and this probably came from his raising as a prince when it was instilled in him that he needed to fight for what he wanted. ANd with all the crazy things that happened in his live, he learned to appreciate the people that never gave up on him, and to those he is extremely loyal and supportive. He would do basically anything that that they ask of him, and would support basically anything they decide, too.

On the other side, Jun is you basic little sh*t. He loves to tease the ones around him (specially Chen) and he takes joy in making people lost their composure, specialy if he makes them angry (although to his credit, this is a good way to get the upper hand with your enemies). He also is completely smug, something that still remais from his royal raising, and he usually thinks he's better than most people around him (I say 'most' because he's basically almost always with Chen, and she's one of the few people he trully respects -the head of the Seoul Institute is one of the other few-). And the fact that he's nonchalant means that there is very very little that concerns him or that can get a reaction out of him, so there is basically zero chances to get him back for his teasings and smugness.

background

The second unnamed (in history records) son of Emperor Gojong and Empress Myeongseong, he was born in 1875.

When he was 20 (1895) his mother was assassinated, and he was at her palace with his older brother (later Emperor Sunjong) paying her a visit. His brother was not with them, but he was with their mother and when he noticed the commotion, he tried to help his mother scape. They were soon cornered without even leaving the palace, and his mother made him run. He didn't listen and stupidly tried to fought back, being mortaly wounded. The last thing he saw before loosing his consience was his mother being murdered.
When he woke up, it was on an unfamiliar place. Who greeted him was one of the servants in the palace, that said to him he was found in critical condition, but he (the servant) managed to save him (the prince). But the servant said the prince needed to be moved to a safe place where he could be hidden to finish healing and because he was now deemed dead by his family. The servant then proceeded to take the prince to a Warlock (that was no other than Chen), tho he never explained a thing of what was happening.

Jun then had to stay with the weird woman with dragon eyes for some weeks, but he really couldn't stay put for long, and on one night that she was away he run from her house and by mere luck (or bad luck) he encountered with the same group that killed his mother. He tried to fight them and get his revenge, but they mortaly injured him again, and he lost his conscience again. The next thing he remembers was of a big feeling of claustrophobia and clawing his way out, just to see the same dragon-eyed woman seated in the groud, like she was expecting him. She introduced herself again, and said she needed to take him somewhere. He was feeling very antsy, but something in her voice and her eyes made him obey. When they arrived at what seemed to be a camp of some sort, she said to him that he could do what he wanted, and at this something snapped inside of him and he attacked the enrite camp, drinking the blood of everyone there (years later he would ask her why she lead him there, specifically, and she would answerthat it was a camp of assassins she was tracking for some time already, and having them killed was better than let him attack innocent law-abbiding citizens).

From then on Jun had the help of the woman, Chen, to control his new instincts, and with the passing years, and all the things they had to face together, he ended falling in love with her. His life took a very unexpected turn after his mother's murder, but he learned to love the new people around him (ok, more like, Chen and their adoptive kid, that he was totaly elated when Chen came with the baby home and of course that he would adopt the kid!) He also adopted the name "Yong Jun" after his transformation.

[if thing got a little confusing, the servant that saved him was a daylighter, and he gave the prince his blood, making him a fledgling, so when he really died, -Chen found him dead on the next morning- he was buried and the transformation was complete]

trivia

- Actually, Chen is his (half) great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grand aunt, since she was the half sister (from the mother's side) of his great(x7) grand father.

- He runs a popular and famous night club named "Dark Light". Needless to say that it's frequented by mundanes and downworders alike, even if the formers are not aware of the true nature of the latter.

- Maybe because he's a vampire (kind of) he has an habit to hug Chen from behind and kiss her neck, specially when he arrives home and she's doing something else.

relationship

(adoptive) Son / Yong Taehyung / 22 / Warlock / Laidback, Mischevious, Cheeky, Affectionate / Yong Taehyung, a.k.a Long Taihang, is Jun's adoptive son. All of Taehyung's smugness was inherited from his father, and when they join forces no one can win over their banter. He also is a DJ in his father's night club. They have a strong sense of camaraderie and loyalty towards each other, even if they are not blood-related. Jun was the one that completely supported Tai's wish to go to University, so the kid went and did a course related to music and sound technician things.

"Apprentice" / Jaejung / 22 / Vampire / Proud & Stubborn / Jaejung is a new vampire that Jun is responsible for teaching the right ways of living. So currently he's crashing on Jun&Chen's couch and he's annoying Jun so he would let him also be a DJ at Dark Light, but Jun isn't trusting the newbie yet around a lot of humans. After all, it has been barelly a year since he was turned. He was Tai's classmate in university, so the two young adults in the house have a good relationship.

skills

Combat: ?: Hand to hand combat? Not much his thing. Throwing punches count?
Weaponry: 5?: He still has his skills with swords and bow and arrows that he learned when he was still a human prince.

Q & A
Answer in your pov

Q - What species are you?
A - A vampire? Kind of.

Q - What do you think about Shadowhunters?
A - I'm cool about them? I mean, while they don't target my family, I'm cool. And while Chen keeps supporting them, I will help them too.

Q - What do you think about Downworlders?
A - They are my people. And while there are bad people between them, most of them just wants to live their lives in peace, and that is something I will help to protect.
