if Luke is a viable option for a nickname, then the latter part of his name should be as well. Only a person who is ingrained with unimaginable wit could one come up with an ingenious nickname such as this. First used by the old class president, the whole class caught on and uses it jokingly.

style — Luke often wears his favorite gray pair of Nike trainers, and a pair of skinny jeans along with a comfortable top. Depending on the weather, he decides whether he'd like to wear a plain tee, a breathable baseball shirt, or a warm sweater. He might add on a cozy wool coat or a beanie if it's cold or snowing outside.

personality — neutral: Laid-back; positive: Understanding, Charitable, Affectionate, Sensible; negative: Clingy, Hypocritical, Obstinate, Insecure

#LUCAS : As friends would describe him, Luke is a very laid-back person. He doesn't like being active and is usually seen with a phone in his hand, absent-mindedly scrolling through twitter or instagram. When faced with small talk, he will often answer succinctly. He does not mind the silence that will inevitably ensue afterwards even though the other party might often feel some sort of awkwardness linger in the air. Luke just isn't a very talkative person, but a friend who needs a shoulder to lean on can always count on him. He will listen to them with sincere attentiveness, with his phone tucked away in his pocket. He can keep a secret, and although he isn't good with giving advice, his ears are open for those who want to rant away.

Luke is known for being patient. If there was a party and almost half of the people there couldn't come, he wouldn't really mind. He understands how hard it can be, and even if most of the excuses sound half-assed, he would still believe them. He accepts whatever reason they have, not because of naïveté but because he knows that they're making up excuses 'cause they don't like whatever it is they're being offered—and he's not about to force them into something they don't want to do. He doesn't get angry easily and never forces anything to another person. Although, whenever there is a charity drive, a party, or a mac 'n cheese he's baked or currently eating, he never forgets to invite them to the event or offer whatever it is he's nomming on.

Being practical describes Luke's lifestyle. He never chooses anything extravagant or anything remotely difficult. He thinks that one should go with the flow, but at the same time, Luke doesn't hesitate to do the things he likes and thinks is right. He often interacts with his siblings when he's at home. Due to their young age, he is extra affectionate to them and it rubs off on his attude towards others—in words and in actions. He habitually tucks in a "hun" and a "sweetheart" to his sentences and touches others in a friendly manner that might be awkward or even condescending to those who aren't used to him. Others who are open are more appreciative of his comforting words and physical contact. Although, with his sass, it's no wonder that a lot of people mistake him to be gay.

#CHOI : When he has found a friend in someone, it's hard to shake him off. He'll always be checking up on that person to the point of annoyance. If Luke only has one friend in the room, it'll be no surprise that he'll be tailing that poor kid 'til he either maneuvers out of the room in a sneaky manner, or if he excuses himself to Luke and never come back. It would be impolite, but Luke wouldn't mind at all. He just really likes the presence of someone nearby while he browses through his phone, but he often sub-conciously initiates some physical contact. And this clingy attitude would often be one of the main reasons why people don't want to be close to him despite him being a good friend.

Luke has his own ideals and beliefs. It's not a bad thing, but more often than not, it would clash with anothers'. And you would think, Luke being Luke, he wouldn't mind it if others have the a different opinion because he's understanding—but that's not usually what happens. When it comes to decision-making that involves him or something of his, he asserts his opinion as if it's fact and he doesn't seem like he's going to bend. Changing his mind about something he has strong feelings for is like moving a mountain using only your arms, it's more than impossible. And it's this stubbornness that makes him a difficult person to be with.

At first glance, no one can pin-point a bad trait of Luke's besides being annoying and stubborn. They never knew that Luke has been insecure for the longest time. It's not like he's not confident, but he's insecure in a way that he is often jealous of other people—whether it's the physical traits those people were born with or they've worked on, the interactions they have with other people, and the achievements they've managed to accomplish. He tries hard not to show it, and it shouldn't even make sense because Luke already has some achievements of his own—so why would he be jealous? Even he doesn't know the reason himself but he feels the need to do things that might make him more like-able or better than others.

likes — kids, lasagna, mac 'n cheese, skinship, romantic (often cheesy and cliché) films, his gadgets, a sale on electronics, photography, programming, updating his social media accounts, baking and eating

dislikes — no wi-fi, slow wi-fi (worse than no wi-fi at all), being wrong, bugs, being disliked, sound of sirens/alarms, coffee,  low quality electronics, non-aesthetic layouts, comic sans, messy codes

background — Lucas Choi was born Choi Minhyun in Namwon during his parents' vacation in South Korea. When he was born, it was a straight-up miracle for his parents because even though they were still considered 'young', they have always wanted a baby for so long. Luke has traveled a lot as a kid, always being spoiled by his parents, being their only kid back then. In grade school, he was always bullied for his lunch money. When his parents found out, his parents decided for him to change schools. That's when Luke met Yuna. Yuna was also a Canadian-born Korean. It wasn't easy for them to make friends, as Yuna was a quiet kid. When they got the chance to talk and hang out though, they easily became close friends.

family

 ▩  Choi Jaehyun, James — Father — 7/10
A businessman who has a lot of freetime, especially when his business took off. He has five hotel chains all over the globe, and two fine dining restaurants—both with three Michelin stars! He used to only join his mother-and-son during vacations but now he's often at home during weekends. He's fun-loving and has great communication skills.

 ▩  Jeon Minsun, Minnie — Mother — 9/10
Luke loves her a lot, never forgetting to give her gifts on her birthday and occasions such as Christmas and Mother's Day. Back then, you can call Luke a 'mama's boy' but ever since his mom had Rachel and Candace she takes care of them more often. She has always stayed at home, due to being an architect and mostly doing her work at home during her own time. She's not as humorous as James but she's very responsible and tries her best in everything she does.
 ▩  Rachel Choi — Younger Sister — 8/10
The six-year old. She's very smart for her age and often makes quotable quotes and sassy quips that will give Hades from Hercules a run for his money. She's a first-grader who can take on advanced stuff but doesn't want to take A.P. classes. Rachel teases her brother a lot but they have a great camaraderie.
 ▩  Candace Choi — Younger Sister — 8/10
The four-year old. Candace still has to grow out her teeth and learn how to read. Unlike Rachel, her growth as a kid is quite slow. Despite that, she is very lovable. And if someone had a Vine account with just her, I'm sure that they'll have a lot of subscirbers. She is very cute and brightens up when she sees Luke very much like a dog who welcomes their owner after a long day at work.

FRiends

 ▩  Yuna Park — Bestfriend — 10/10
She's a quiet but kind girl that Luke met when he transferred schools. Since third grade, she's been the only friend Luke has got. They have a similar sense of humor—that tends to happen when you spend a lot of time with each other—and joke around often. Although, they're both initially quiet, they can cause a ruckus when they're having fun or when they get absorbed with having a banter about— 'Come on, you're totally checking out that girl. I saw you.' 'Nuh uh.' Until now, he's never gotten a better friend, and no matter how bad Yuna's actions go, he knows that she's the only one he can forgive whole-heartedly besides his family.

 ▩  #THERE'S_A_FREAKING_GHOST_AFTER_US — Friend — 8/10
She and Lucas met each other during college during Philosophy class and got into a debate whether ghosts are real or not. Yuna teases him with #THERE..., because for the longest time Luke hasn't really gotten close to any girls besides Yuna. Yuna: "It's about time you got yourself a girlfriend." The only reason why Luke and #THERE... started hanging out more was because Yuna dropped out of college. Luke didn't have anyone to hang out with because of that, and grew closer to #THERE... even though he still checked up on Yuna after she stopped going to school.
 ▩  I thought we had a connection — Friend — 7/10
According to Luke, she's one of the most decent people in Yuna's ragtag group of friends. They aren't particularly close but he can hang out with I thought... just fine. She's sympathetic, level-headed and doesn't cause much drama. I thought... is also probably the only other person who checks up on Yuna, and Luke appreciates her effort in doing that.
 ▩  Sara Park — Friend — 6/10
Yuna's younger sister, and Luke's friend. He met her when he once went over to Yuna's house and, despite her twin sister Suzy not really interacting with Luke, Sara got along well with him for someone who has never met him before. And as Sara got to know him more, she now understands the reason why Luke and Yuna became almost inseparable. It was heart-breaking for Luke when he found out what had happened to her.
 ▩  Old Class President — Friend — 5/10
A witty guy who Luke thinks tend to go overboard sometimes. They met during freshman year and they always seem to find each other in the same class, making them interact with each other. Even if they don't always see eye to eye with each other, the old class president is no stranger to Luke.

the one and only.

LONG-TIME CRUSH — Yuna Park

backup LOVE INTEREST — Up to you.

personality — As she is in the story.

relationship — They're the actual definition of best friends. They hang on to each other during trying times but most of the time they rely on funny banter, endless jokes, and teasing to keep their friendship alive. Luke didn't know when it started, but his feelings for Yuna had been tinged with some sort of romantic feelings—it's definitely not intentional. He shrugged it off, thinking it was going to pass. He wants to keep their friendship, that's why he doesn't deny it as much when Yuna teases him with #THERE..., leaving a hint that he might actually have the hots for #THERE... so that Yuna wouldn't worry... but these feelings still linger.
