Actually nothing is impossible. Your parents have their point there. They are worried about your future since being idol and celebrity is not easy and only a few handful can really make it until the end. Not to mention the short span career. So to assure your parents , I think you should study hard and go to Uni get a degree and etc to secure yourself first as a back up plan. To be a well respected singer you need to be smart as well . Education is very important . Along the way , you can use your free time to go for classes to learn singing , dancing or maybe learn play instrument and etc.. That way you don't really have to give up on your dreams. Then when you have enough knowledge , you can actually sing or formed a band or group on your own with your friends to test and see how ready and how much you have grow throughout the learning process. You can go and sing on the streets with tourist and etc ( but make sure ask permission first from authority if you need too ).. See how their reaction and response .. From there build your own experience. If there's any party or wedding or school performance , use this chance to train your school. Offer or volunteer yourself to sing. You need to create own opportunity . If you really work hard and study well , in my personal opinion I think your parents will support you. Just don't quit school or neglect your study . All the best to you. Dreams do come true. Believe in yourself and believe more in your dreams.
