Don't judge on what you see:

PERSONALITY
Wit, Empathetic, Dedicated, Independent
Anxious, Timid, Asocial, Censorius

Amelia has got a lit of wit for a girl her age. She is highly intelligent, or at least that's what her father has been told by her past teachers, and has a high sense of mental sharpness. She is quick with her words and doesn't have to spend a lot of time thinking about solutions to problems, whether it be math problems or situational problems. She is a quick thinker and a fast learner. One could be convinced that she has photographic memory (which she doesn't). She is very attentive and pays close attention to the details of everything. Some may call it stalking, but she calls it being observant. Although an introverted child, Amelia has a way with people and can easily connect with them by sharing emotions. She can't literally feel a person's emotions by touching them, but she can understand people and how the feel on a whole new level rather than just sympathizing with them. When she does talk to people, she is able to communicate easier when she finds something that connects her to that person.

Amelia is also a very dedicated person. When she sets her mind to something, she will follow through. When she starts something, she will always finish it no matter what. She is very loyal and faithful to those who deserve it. She is not one to merely give up because of her intergity and moral beliefs. She puts in a full 100% effort (except when she has her "off days" sometimes) in anything that she does. Amelia is also very self-sufficient, has been ever since she was a kid. She has always preferred to work independently rather than in groups. She knows how to manage herself without depending on others. Rarely ever will she need help and, even more so, ask for help. She likes to be independent because it's more for the purpose of self protection.

Amelia can also be very anxious in various situations. She has a serious problem with anxiety and tends to have panic attacks more often than not. She experiences worriness and unease whenever she gets into a highly stressful situation or when it is a life-or-death matter. She is quite the worrier and always tends to be a little on edge. When in her "off days", she can become extremely paranoid, especially when she is surrounded by people, and will be more jittery and shakey than normal. She is also easily frightened. Amelia's timid nature makes it hard for her to show her skills and interact with others. She lacks in confidence and courage and is easily intimidated. She can be very meek around others and is not one to stand up for herself. She is not threatening whatsoever and it doesn't help that she is smaller than others both physically and mentally. She is an extremely vulnerable person at certain times and will easily become submissive to those who show power.

Amelia is troublingly asocial. She avoids all social events if possible and would rather stay couped up in her room than be outside at a quidditch match. Although she won't physically run away from someone if they wanted to interact with her, but in her head she would be thinking of all the possible quick escape routes. She'll become accustomed to where and when the quietest hallways are and always take those routes to school. At times, she will have what she likes to call "off days" where she will do her best to avoid all interactions with human beings whatsoever. When she has her "off days", Amelia is more in her head than in reality and prefers to have her alone time. Amelia is also quite censorious, which she is not very proud of. She likes to think that she is free of all judgements towards others and is equal to everyone, but the odds of a person being like that is very slim. Because her intelligence level is way above average, especially for children her age, she doesn't quite understand how some people just don't understand concepts and subjects that she finds simple. She often is severly critical of others, especially when it comes to those who lack in intellect. She often gets frustrated when people are "dumb" and ask the professor to repeat the lesson multiple times.

BACKGROUND
Amelia Kingsley was born in Kingston, England (coincidence? I think not). She grew up with English as her first language and was taught Korean from her mother throughout her childhood. Her mother is a muggle and her father is a pureblood. Her family was well known around their neighborhood and was viewed as that one perfect family that lived in the corner house. All the moms and dads of the town envied her parents. Perfect house, perfect jobs, perfect families; what wasn't there to be jealous of? But little did people know that behind the walls of their house lied a family that was far from perfect.

Her mother had no idea that she had married a wizard. How could have this happened? Well, Amelia's father met her mother when they had both ended up at the same little cafe. After, "conicidentally" meeting each other at the same cafe at the same time each week, they finally began to take thigns a step further. At some point during their relationship, Amelia's mother had voiced her opinions about those who had magic running through their veins and let me tell you, it was not positive at all. After hearing this, Amelia's father chose to keep that part of his life a secret. It worked up until the point where he kept having to leave the house for this "job" that she didn't know about and when odd things happened whenever Amelia and her brother got upset. After confronting her husband about everything, he finally told her the truth and all hell broke loose. Her mother wanted to leave with Amelia (not her brother because he was in his second year at Hogwarts already) and rid her of all things magic. To add to this already chaotic situation, it was the time where the Great Wizarding War was occurring and Death Eaters were killing muggles for sport.

On the day where Amelia's mother planned on taking her and leaving, their town was invaded by a group of Death Eaters. While sneaking out of the house, the two girls were stopped by two Death Eaters. Ripped out of her mothers arms, Amelia, at this time 5 years old, began to cry and scream at the top of her lungs as her mother was being tortured and killed in front of her. Hearing the commotion, her father and brother stepped out of the house. She was quickly brought inside by her brother while her father took care of the wizards outside. It was a while until her father came back inside, but when he did he immediately told them to pack their things. They moved to London, where her father had a small apartment since he worked in the city very frequently.

Amelia was then opened up to the world of magic. She grew closer, even more than before, to her brother and father. As time passed, her brother had moved out and her father was extremely busy with work. Amelia was left at home on her own a lot and, thus, her independent nature started to bloom. Amelia often has flashes of images ever since "that one day" when she was 5. Her brain will conjure up images that like to scare Amelia, but her father would always have his phone with him if she ever called him and needed to hear him. To calm her nerves, Amelia found that studying actually helped ease her tention, so, she spent most of her time studying, reading, or anything that kept her brain thinking and distracted.

Unlike most kids at school, she actually tried on all of her work. She spent time outside of school studying and doing her work like she was supposed to. Most of her classmates just got answers from her, but she didn't mind. She never really had a group of friends growing up, but she did have a couple of people who she conversed with daily. During break times, one would find her away from all the kids and sitting in a tree or looking for little creatures on the playground.

Amelia, sitting on the window sill in the family room, was reading her favorite book when her father came home, mail in his hand. Her father tapped her shoulder and held up an envelope with a red stamp in the middle that kept it closed. With a grin that matched her father's, she jumped up and cheered for she was accepted to Hogwarts.

TRIVIA
- Amelia loves animals. In fact, she sometimes believes that animals are way better than humans and that we don't deserve them. Most of the time when she is outside, she'll be looking for any type of creature. Surprisingly, animals are like the only thing she isn't afraid of, except bugs.

- Amelia is obsessed with butterbeer, acid pops, and peppermint toads. She has a real sweet-tooth and one way to get to her heart is by offering her something sweet or some chicken nuggets.

- Amelia does this thing where she will look at feet instead of heads while walking through the halls just so she avoids eye contact with people.

- Her favorite professor is the one who teaches Defence Against the Dark Arts. Professor Whits. She not only likes the class itself, but finds Professor Whits as a motherly figure.

- Her favorite places at Hogwarts are the Astronomy Tower, the Clock Tower Courtyard, and the Black Lake. When she's not in her room or in class, these are the common places where she'll be found.
Those who shape me:

FAMILY

Father - Edward Kingsley - 39 - Pureblood - Auror - Oddball, Stern, Protective - Although he isn't home all the time, Amelia and her father are as close as they possibly can be. The death of her mother took a toll on both of them. He always knows how to get her to smile and how to comfort her when she's feeling down. Like the good father he is, he is always willing to have a "talk" with anyone that is giving her problems.

Brother - Daniel Kingsley - 18 - Half Blood - Quidditch Player - Outgoing, Funny, Protective - Amelia and Daniel are like polar opposites, but that's what makes them even closer. Daniel will always have a special place for Amelia in his life. Because of the huge between the siblings and how he took care of her when he was out of school, he is super overprotective of Amelia and will do anything to make sure she is okay. They always write each other letters to stay in touch and she will always cheer him on during his games even though she isn't there physically.

FRIENDS

Closest Mate - Clary Travers - 11 - Pureblood - School - Sassy, Sarcastic, Caring - Clary was the first friend that Amelia had hung out with after school. She was also the first friend that just so happened to have the "magical blood". Ever since they found out they were both witches, the two became the bestest of friends. Clary does most of the talking for the two of them, though Amelia really didn't mind. Clary also looks out for Amelia and Amelia always corrects Clary and tells her when she's being dumb. Like true friends, they tell each other they're ugly, but will always care for each other.

Daily Acquaintance - Henry Davies - 11 - Muggleborn - School - Nosey, Mischievous - Henry and Amelia met during their first year at Hogwarts. Somehow Henry would always manage to find his way into Amelia and Clary's conversations being the meddlesome kid he is. Amelia won't avoid Henry, she doesn't mind his company, but she won't go out of her way to greet him. Henry likes to play jokes on Amelia and Clary, and all the other first years in general, but knows when to stop (shivers from a flashback to when Clary got real tired of his jokes). She likes to say that he somewhat forced her to be friends with him, but even she likes that she is friends with Henry.

OTHERS

Amelia's animal companion is her Northern Saw-Whet Owl, Winston. She takes Winston with her almost everywhere and he doesn't mind. He enjoys all the attention she gives him and she enjoys that he is a nice, quiet friend.
A new adventure:

ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT GOING TO HOGWARTS? My brother, Daniel, has told me so much about it and it seems so cool! I can't wait to finally be able to learn how to use magic. But it also means going into a new school with loads of new people and meeting lots of people and...I'm rambling, aren't I?

WHICH HOUSE DO YOU WANT TO GET INTO? There's no particular house that I'm dying to get into, but there might be a house or two that I would be surprised if I got sorted into. (awkward laugh)

IS THERE A HOUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE IN? All the houses are good houses. Well, maybe.

WHICH CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO? Either DADA or Charms class. Daniel told me a lot about his DADA class. I just want to learn some spells.

WILL YOU BE TRYING OUT FOR QUIDDITCH? Oh, Merlin's beard, no! Physical contact, athletic ability, violent comeptition, and heights? Definitely not for me. No sir'ee. (insert akward laugh and head sratch) Though I do enjoy watching a game, especially my brother's.

ARE YOU BRINGING A PET? Well, yes. My trusty pal, Winston, will join me.

ANY THOUGHTS ON HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED OR HIS FOLLOWERS? Dislike them. All of them. Whatever the reason is, I find it invalid. I cannot fathom why people like them exist and why they do such awful things.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD? So, uh, do I get butterbeer now?
Any last words:
