When you were a child, what did you used to dream of being when you grow up? And how is your journey to your dream right now? Or you're totally on a different path right now?

I used to dream of  being a scientist when I was a child. But I changed my dream to be a teacher since everybody said they wanna be a teacher at that time. After that I fell in love with manga and anime, and I used to dream to become an artist or a manga-ka (cartoonist or something like that) because I love to draw. But I also love to sing. I also dreamed of becoming a singer. But somehow my mom wouldn't allow it. So I just wanna be a lecturer after that. Now I'm studying overseas and I love to read and write, I wanna be a writer. And I also love travelling. I wrote a travelog once but never printed it.

I don't know what I wanna be right now. Maybe I'm going to be a teacher later but I don't like to be a teacher because I wanna be free and travel, but it cost money. So I don't know...

How about you?

I feel very similar to you. I went from wanting to be a vet, to scientist, to film maker. I went to art school, but it was so hard to find a good internship or job, so sadly I gave up on that dream. Because of my interest in Korean culture, I made the decision to go to Korea and teach English. I never saw myself as a teacher, but I really love it. Plus, I get to travel and take pictures and make videos about my trips. So in a way I'm still doing what I love.

Teachers often asked me that question when I was a child, but I never really knew. I always told them doctor or teacher, something that was well known and common. As of now, I'm a chemist, something I never knew existed when I was a child. Also, what I do now, surprises a lot of people around me.
