So at the start it lowkey(/highkey) reminded me of Mama with the narration. And so I'm guessing there are multiple dimensions where they're all defenders? Also, nine marbles/elves so...Lay?

 

The CGI during the intro made me geek out a bit xD. Then that robot showed and I thought "Oh, this is some Star Wars R2-D2/WALL-E going on and I'm here for it but lowkey scared now?" And then the song started and here's Kai looking fine as usual.

And I liked the way it started--Chanyeol sounded nice and then Kyungsoo TvT. Then as Xiumin started singing and I tried to focus on it--boom! That arm came straight through the freakin' wall. (That's why I love stuff that doesn't take itself too seriously but then can turn a 180° on a person and get them feeling tense or whatever.)

 

Then Xiumin's face when he inserted the plug into the socket XDD. And of course Kyungsoo sings the chorus first :D and I don't think I ever would've imagined Chen with yellow eyeliner on but he works it? (Looks more orange in this gif though.)

Next was Sehun with his reckless shooting and Kyungsoo's over-the-top acting lol. And then here comes Suho looking like freakin' Vilma from Scooby Doo searching for her glasses lol. And then when I saw the background again--I realized holy is this all a simulation? Just virtual reality style now? After that, I had to go back to actually fully listen to the song 'cause I kept pausing haha. Some more scenes later and I noticed that Baekhyun still wasn't there and then Chanyeol and Sehun started rapping and, eh, it's not my favorite rap break but the Tick Tock and Shot parts (basically parts that get echoes) I liked.

 

And then it showed character screens and just...ahh I loved the cheesiness for some reason. And then Kai singing? I still get amazed sometimes when I hear him singing high (but he sounds nice when he does imo--like his tone is so soothing). Then more funny scenes and faces...

And when the robot was just about to freeze their asses, here comes a hero with a shield to protect them and I lowkey thought Lay was about to pop up from behind like Surprise es but it turned out to be Chen haha. Still cool though but then they showed some toy that looks like the robot and I was like The ? before thinking yo they're definitely in some kinda simulation or something. Maybe still drugged outta their minds too because falling marbles? Lost marbles like in Love Me Right? Symbolism? Yeah.

 

Then the watches LOL--this really was ing Power Rangers! Why was this mv playing on/with so many tropes lol. Also, I'm still wondering why did I'm guessing Chanyeol(?) have a tattoo that says Loey? (Is it just his name spelled backwards, like Yeol? If so, bruh...)

And then I thought wait. Is the cat...Is that supposed to represent Lay? Like I saw theories of that but thought nah they wouldn't do that. Then the cat started pressing that button...and so it changed the virtual reality??

 

The eclipse part was so cool but then their...hahaha their faces when they got their powers back. Ahh and then that ending with Baekhyun falling into water...Did he ing die? Or just faint? Is there gonna be another mv this year?...Probably, right? So many questions.

 

All in all, it was a good mv haha. I knew this mv might be silly af from the teaser but bruh lol. Still, I'm so here for how much more chill and non-caring of certain things EXO seems nowadays. I bet even though they thought it was corny, at the same time, they were excited about this haha. No lip-syncing to their lyrics, no dance cuts--just acting. And I love it ^v^.

(Oh and I watched the Korean version first then the Mandarin version. The rap sounds better in Mandarin imo and I could go either way with which version I'd listen to on a regular basis. Like for example, I listen to the Mandarin version of Call Me Baby more than the Korean.) So yeah, the song's really nice! And after listening to the other two new songs, I think Power is still my fav outta the three. Sweet Lies is smooth though (all the high notes~ Kyungsoo's entire existence in this freakin' song haha <3) and Boomerang--all the Hey-ey-ey's made me chuckle a bit but it's a jam too.

 

Just...yes to everything right now haha. Now I gotta write that new chapter for Bus Rides & Sleepy Misses aha.
