Super confident is the first word that comes to mind when someone is talking about Jihyun. She's always has the guts to try something new and is always willing to take risks. Jihyun is the type of girl who looks like she has no insecurities about herself and loves herself the way she is. However, she's also very conceited as she thinks she's always the best at everything and will always be better than everyone else. But there is something inside of her that makes her very insecure. She's afraid of being seen as not perfect or people finding her flaws.
Very outspoken and will always tell everyone whatever is on her mind, even if it isn't the kindest of things, but that's how she grew up. However, she's super stubborn and will always stick to her way of thinking and refuses to let anyone else persuade her, and being super argumentative, she'll argue her way until it gets down her way. She refueses to let anyone challenge her way of thinking because she thinks her way of thinking is the best way and that no one else can ever find a better idea than hers.
Always trying hard to reach her goal, she's super ambitious and will do anything to always be at the top. Really fierce as well as she's always trying to get her way, no matter what.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND
Jihyun was born on April 4th, 1999 in Yongin, South Korea. Her family consists of her two parents, her and her sister. Jihyun is seven years younger than her older sister and is the "baby" of the family, which means her parents pretty much spoiled her when she was younger. Since she was born, her parents let her always speak what was on her mind, even though they did teach her the difference between right and wrong, Jihyun was always able to voice her opinions. Ever since she was little, she was always told that she was pretty and was gifted with every single talent in the world. Not that it was true, but she was spoiled and that was what she wanted to hear from everyone. That made her think that she was perfect in every which way.
When she was younger, she made a friend. Typical right? But she became friends with someone that was totally unexpected because her new friend was someone who was the complete opposite of her. This girl was quiet, shy and a total bookworm. But, opposites do attract and they stuck to each other like glue. One was never seen without the other. However, once high school started, and cliques were formed, Jihyun started hanging out with the popular people. People who had too much time on their hands and made fun of people who weren't like them. When these people found out that Jihyun was friends with a nerd, they made fun of her for it and unless, Jihyun didn't do something, they would find ways to hurt Jihyun's friend. So in the end, Jihyun started pushing "the second hand" around and making her do things. In her heart, she knew it was wrong of her to do that but she didn't want her new friends to stop liking her so she continued doing it, even if it meant that she would lose her best friend in the end.

Looking at first glance, Jihyun looks like a pretty goddess. She stands at a height at 160 cm and a weight of 60 kg. Her hair is a light shade of brown and she frequently either lets it down or she ties it back in a fishtail braid. Her eyes are a deep brown color, almost close to chocolate and many people tell her that her eyes look like melted chocolate at times. Her skin isn't super pale, but she has a very fair complexion. When she was younger, she used to have acne, but years of skincare routines got rid of them and now Jihyun's skin looks flawless. Jihyun has a mole under her left eye and she has a birthmark on the inside of her left wrist that looks like a seashell. She has one piercing on both ears and a helix piercing on her left ear. She wears different types of earrings, such as post and dangling but she refuses to wear hoop earrings. Her earrings will usually range from diamond earrings, to flowers, to other things that suit her tastes. With her helix piercing, she usually wears a flower or a diamond. Her clothing style is always comfort first but she always looks for outfits that will accentuate her figure. Jihyun likes shirts that are fun and she'll often pair them with shorts or skirts. Jihyun isn't a big fan of heavy makeup but she likes elegant makeup. Colors like gold or silver sparkle eyeshadow for her eyes, red lipstick, natural brows, mascara and eyeliner to make her eyes look bigger.
When Jihyun turns into a mermaid, she sports a green tail and the fin kind of looks like a butterfly wing. Her tail is mostly green but there is a gradient on the fin which goes from green to pink to green. Her mermaid bra is a deep sea green with flowers of the same color and rhinestones decorating it. Her hair goes from her normal brown color to blond with green, blue, pink and purple highlights, as well as a double strand of pearls crowning the top. Her eyes also have a green, blue, purple gradient eyeshadow makeup and her nails sport a pink to green gradient nail polish. Jihyun's outfit gallery is found here.

• kyungmi is sort of like the leader of
the popular girls. she's the one that
makes all the remarks about other people
and she's the one that starts all the trends
at school. kyungmi's not the nicest of
people but that's beacuse it stemmed from a
bullying incident she had. jihyun and
kyungmi clicked on the first day they met
but most of the time, their interactions are
mostly forced just for show.
kim mingyu - 18 - "friend" -
• another one of the popular kids and one
of the most handsomest guy in school.
mingyu and jihyun just flirt with each other
for the rest of the school to see. not that
there's any feelings involved. jihyun sees
mingyu as a cool guy to hang out with and
vice versa.

• Jaehyun, if you were to describe him in one word, is mysterious. He's one of those popular people that are popular because they look good and are mysterious. He's constantly surounded by girls and guys alike. On one hand, Jaehyun is the mysterious popular kid, who no one knows anything about expect for his closest friends. He's always sitting in the back of the classrooms and is always the one who has very few words for everyone. His face never shows any emotion and his eyes are constanly glaring at people wherever he looks. His movements are very stiff and he seems like he never reacts to anything funny.
However, once you get through his cold exterior, you'll find that Jaehyun is pretty much this big ball of fluff. He's always joking with his friends and playing pranks with them. It's just that when he was younger, his parents were always constantly working and didn't give him much time. Thus, he never grew up with much love and is very awkward with showing too much emotion and when people give him too much emotion.
Jaehyun is very hot-tempered. He gets frustrated very easily, especially if things aren't going the way he planned. He also has the habit of criticizing people for mistakes they didn't make or blaming them for his mistakes when he's frustrated. But, he always remembers to apologize to them after he's calm down because it was his fault after all. Jaehyun cares for his friends with all his heart and will do anything to help them.

• These two are not at all close. Jaehyun is not like the other popular kids. He refuses to make fun of people just because they aren't like him. He refuses to associate himself with the kids who do that. So to him, Jihyun is one of those kids who make fun of people just for the fact that she's trying to fit in. On the other hand, to Jihyun, Jaehyun is one of those kids who make it their life's goal to bring her down. She doesn't understand how a person like him could be on of the popular kids. He doesn't act like a popular person and certainly most always will think of ideas that sound better than hers. To the point, where other kids are siding with him for his ideas than Jihyun's. It makes her angry to see that but at the same time, she's mad at herself for essentially carving a name for herself for being so stubbon when she could've gone with other people's ideas.
LOVE STORY
Oh boy talk about an unromantic first meeting. These two met on the first day of school. Jihyun had finished getting all her books out of her locker and was on her way to class while talking with her best friend when all of sudden, she and Jaehyun crashed into each other with their books flying everywhere. So Jihyun being Jihyun, blamed Jaehyun for bumping into her and demanded that he apologize. Jaehyun, on the other hand, got mad at Jihyun and demanded that she apologize instead. All in all, they refused to apologize and they never spoke to each other again.
Just kidding. After that incident, Jihyun and Jaehyun refused to talk to each other and every time they saw each other, they would shoot daggers out of their eyes. Finally, their history teacher paired them up for a project and he was met with so much protest. Their history refused to budge and in the end, they were forced to work with each other whether they liked it or not. They managed to finsh the proect together without killing each other. It wasn't an easy feat but they accomplished it. After that, they two were pretty much labeled "mortal enemies" by the rest of the school because everytime they saw each other, they would either start arguing or they would glare at each other. However, as time went on, Jihyun was getting curious about Jaehyun. She wanted to know more: about who he really was. When the suggestion to go to Jeju came up, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to ask Jaehyun to come along. However, when she tried asking him, they ended up arguing again. (though Jaehyun would go regardless because he wants to know more about Jihyun as well. Not that he would admit it.)

Hi! Sorry this is like ten thousand years late. My summer was super busy and I was planning on doing this section by section throughout the summer but I was never on the computer long enough to do this app. So I finally finished it. I'm sorry if this is really bad, it was rushed, but I hope this is up to your standards! I love the idea of your story and fun fact: a week before I saw your story, I actually binge-watched the entire third season of H2O so I was still fresh with my obsessions of mermaids and your story caught my eye.
