Jihyun is really passionate about what she does. She's always giving 120% of her effort and she expects that of other people as well. However, when she makes a mistake, she's very overcritical about herself. Jihyun will beat herself up over a very simple mistake because she wants to be the best at what she does.
She's very quick-tempered, especially when things don't go her way. She's not a perfectionist but she wants things done right and her way, which means she's also very stubborn. Jihyun was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea on April 04, 1996. Her family consists of her mom, her dad and her younger sister, Mihyun, who was born in 1998.
Her parents were the ones that ultimately planted Jihyun's love for music. Her mom plays the violin and the harp while her dad plays the piano. From a young age, Jihyun was surrounded by music and it was something that would stay with her as she grew up.
When she was 6 years old, her mother took her to a ballet performance and Jihyun fell in love. She loved watching the dancers dance across the stage and how graceful they looked while doing it. That resulted in to her taking ballet classes, which happened to be right next to a hip-hop dance studio. There were times when she heard the hip-hop music during ballet class and she was curious to see what was going on but she never got the chance to. When she was 10, she finally got the chnace to go into the dance studio and see the hip-hop dancers in action. She was shocked at how vastly different the dancing looked. The moves were totally different but the dancers still managed to look graceful while doing it. Jihyun decided that she really liked it and she switched over to learn hip-hop.
While she was 15, one of the girls in the hip-hop class showed Jihyun a video of different K-pop groups, the most prominent one being 4minute. After seeing a video of 4minute, Jihyun decided that she wanted to become an idol because it embraced everything she loved about music. She tried out for Global H Media in 2011 and had to audition twice before she was accepted. She finally debuted in 2014 with sonamoo.

* i think it's very a very interesting show. of course it's just one of those shows that the broadcasting stations create for the views but nonetheless, i think it'll be a fun experience.

it's awkward but i love it
history::
Yanan and jihyun first met backstage on show champion when sonamoo was promoting 'i knew it' and pentagon was promoting 'runaway'. sonamoo was performing after pentagon, so jihyun was standing backstage watching pentagon's performance. she thought this group was really cool and yanan just seemed to have this aura around him that caught her eye. when pentagon finished, she went up to yanan and commented on how cool he was and he shyly thanked her.
afterwards, they would bump into each other during that promotion period and yanan would just shyly wave at her everytime they made eye contact. sometimes when they were waiting backstage, they would make small conversations just to get to know each other.
when yanan went on his unexpected hiatus, jihyun got really worried that she asked her manager to get yanan's number for her and she would text him, asking him if he was okay and told him that she would be there if he wanted someone to talk to. during his hiatus, she was very worried about him, but when he made his surprise appearnance on vlive with his group, she felt very relieved.
After yanan's hiatus, he and jihyun continued to communicate through text messages and they became close friends. they would sometimes subtly flirt over text as well, but then the text messages started to mean something more between the two. they still acted like friends, but the messages they sent each other had underlying feelings of something more.

But there are times when he does have a short fuse on bad days. However, those days are very rare. When you first meet Yanan, he's often very shy and very reserved. I feel like yanan would choose jihyun because she reached out to him in his time of need. I also think that jihyun would be in favor of choosing him, because he's someone she's looking for in a guy.
I want them to have a happy ending but i also think it's practical to be realistic lol so i think i want them to acknowledge the fact that there is chemistry between them and they have feelings for each other.
but i want them to realize that maybe a relationship now is not the most practical thing to do or its not something they really want. so i think they'll have a relationship that's not really friends, but not really dating. just that fine line in the middle.
but they do often inconspicuously mention each other on shows and social media and whatnot lol

They already knew each other beforehand, but yanan is such a shy bean that he'll just shyly wave and say hello when he sees Jihyun. he's just shy around people he doesn't know and just stays quiet.
i feel like because they do text each other occasionally, yanan and jihyun do feel comfortable with each other. it's just that yanan won't completely open up until they're alone.
I also imagine a scenario where they are alone together and talking about the pressures they have from being an idol. yanan starts crying and jihyun tears up and they end the conversation with a nice hug.
