I'm writing this post as a quick reminder that Circling Fireflies is an AU. It seems like whenever I mention the SM contracts in my fic that I get a bunch of DMs from people who are concerned that I do my research thoroughly. They want me to be sure I understand what really went wrong and who is to blame for DBSK's breakup so I can write it "right."

I love that you all are so passionate about my story—I really do! It makes me feel like I've created something wonderful when readers pay attention to the plot and care about what happens to YunJae next. I feel so proud of my writing! ^^ But it's fiction, you all. I know it gets confusing when there's so much true DBSK history woven into the story, but it's still just fiction. 

We're getting close to the "buckle-up" part of the story where all the little bombs I've planted start going off. You all knew this was going to turn into a true AU at some point. Well, that point isn't far off.  And when we get there and start going through that part of the plot, please just remember that this is not a documentary. It's an AU. But I hope you'll like it anyway. ^^
