My Class Reps are Insane....

mood

lol the face suga has in this actually is what i looked like while writing this

Honestly the class representatives for the year I graduated are insane. This year is actually the ten year anniversary for the year I graduated aka the Class of 2007. And they were basically planning a reunion. Now this is where things go wrong...

The date is Thanksgiving weekend... the busiest business weekend in the States. The price is $70... for "early bird" therefore it would probably be $100+ for people who don't buy the early bird price on time.

Heck... I paid less to go to a formal event. I get we're all adults now but not everyone is working that 9-5 job with awesome benefits and paid vacation time and an apartment in NYC with an awesome scenery. There are a lot of people that I graduated with that are struggling to make ends meet just like I am... and the class reps expect us to dish out $70+ to go to a party where you are with people you probably don't even care about anymore? It makes no sense. Keep in mind... one of my class reps works for Buzzfeed (honestly hate that girl though... but that's a story for another time)... another one works for the NY Giants... and the rest... I don't really know because they aren't on facebook enough for me to stalk.

So... being the I am...

I literally went "I'm honestly for a 'Class of 2007 anti-reunion', who's in?"

Aka by what I meant with "anti-reunion" it's like anti-prom!

I'll probably get yelled at for making that post but.... honestly... the main point is you can have a good reunion event without spending more than $30. Their reason for the expensive price is because they wanted a place without a lot of formality. Uhhh... sorry but... that is the STUPIDEST reason ever. You can easily just have an event that's BYOB and such... and save money.

And the reason it's a horrible idea for Thanksgiving weekend. Keep in mind... Thanksgiving is considered a holiday that you should spend with your family. So according to the "majority vote"... it was Thanksgiving weekend. I honestly don't believe that. It's also the weekend of Black Friday. Either everyone is trying to look for good Christmas shopping deals and actually shopping OR they are working. They wouldn't be partying and getting drunk over that weekend.

I know a lot of you probably aren't at the age of when you would have your high school class reunion but... the logic behind my class reps ideas of planning an event is RIDICULOUS!

Can you tell I really needed to rant somewhere about this?
