SEUL's FINAL TOP 11 for Produce 101 S2

THE END IS NEAR.
Hello, everyone! It’s Seul, your trusty reviewer who is not so trusty because she is always tardy, is here again with possibly my final post about Produce 101 Season 2, before it airs its finale episode tomorrow (roughly 24 hours from now) which would also signify the end of my three-month obsession (yes, it is HAHAHA).
Since the show’s finale would be the choosing of the Top 11 members who will get to debut in the nation’s next boygroup, it is but fitting to end my review series with my very own Top 11 (it had been a very tough decision to make, but I had to choose only 11 xD).
So I won’t really be ranking them here, because after all, the ranks won’t matter once they’re in the group anyway. Instead, I’d be writing down their position in my imaginary final group, in no particular order. Also, the center would not be chosen based on my rank 1; rather, it would be based on who will best represent the image of the whole group. So here I go~

YOON JISUNG

Position: Sub-vocal
Since episode one, you can really tell that Jisung was born an entertainer and a star. His meme-worthy reactions really spice up the show. But aside from being naturally funny, he’s a stable vocal and puts great effort in what he does, even if he has a meager amount of lines. But really, Yoon Jisung’s wit, personality and abilities are ready for him to debut.

HA SUNGWOON
Position: Lead Vocal
One word: STABLE AF. He sings like the veteran he is and his dancing skill isn’t even that far away even though he sometimes claims that he struggles (and he still does great). He does harmonies so well and his voice is really flexible which would fit many song genres.

KIM JONGHYUN
Position: Leader, Sub-rapper
It’s not easy being a leader, but Jonghyun sure does a great job at it. There is no question on his leadership abilities, as he has proven it so many times, seeing that all the groups he was in chose him as leader. His dancing skills are really good (even though with little parts you barely see him focused), and his rapping comes out naturally in him.

KANG DONGHO
Position: Lead Vocal
Being tagged with several nicknames of his iness, Dongho surely has this strong aura around him which makes you really acknowledge his presence. Aside from his manly charms, his voice has this unique powerful color to it and no doubt, he is stable live. His experience in the field enables him to showcase his talent so well.

HWANG MINHYUN
Position: Sub-vocal
Hwang Minhyun is a triple threat – he has the vocals, the dancing skills and the visuals of an idol. Through all the missions, he has consistently showcased all three and even without getting the main roles, he has managed to shine in all his performances. Not to mention, his facial expressions are on-point!

ONG SEUNGWOO
Position: Main Dancer
His dancing is plain amazing, no questions asked. He moves so fluidly and exquisitely, giving strong and sharp dance performances all throughout this season. His vocals aren’t that out there compared to the others, but his singing is incredibly stable (and strong) on stage.

KIM JAEHWAN
Position: Main Vocal
Needless of a lengthy explanation, Kim Jaehwan has proven over and over that he is worthy of the main vocal position. His strong vocals stand out and its power is sufficient to support the overall sound of the group in choruses. His dancing has also greatly improved.

KANG DANIEL
Position: Lead Rapper
His flexibility amazes me. His voice is that of a rapper – the deep raspy one which I really like. Even though he barely got to showcase his rapping skills, those little snippets of him rapping was really good. Aside from being a rapper, he sings really well, too. Also, his dancing skills are top-notch. There is no question on his stability; he is ready to debut.

PARK WOOJIN
Position: Main Rapper
Do I really have to question his dancing skills? No. Aside from his strong dancing, his rapping style is really something you can get used to and it’s flexible so it would do well with a variety of songs. Also, his stage attitude is really something. He digests the song well and embodies it in his performances.

LEE DAEHWI
Position: Sub-vocal
Stable af and ready to debut, no question. I’ve probably said that so many times already (probably in every review of his performances). Since the beginning of the season, he has well proven himself of his worth being a vocal and a performer. Like Woojin, Daehwi sure knows how to embody the song on stage.

KIM SAMUEL
Position: Lead Dancer, Sub-rapper
Even at his young age, his dancing is that of a professional. His moves are sharp and precise, one you would see in a born-dancer, and he has his own flare and feeling when he does. He can both sing and rap, and though he was uncertain at first, he had gained a lot of confidence after the Show Time stage.

THE CENTER
Seeing this combination, with an age range of about a decade, there are a lot of possible concepts for them and a wide variety of genres they could do. So the center I would choose for this group will be someone who could represent the in-between, one who could pull off any concept and represent the image of the whole group – strong, but both young and old. So the center for me would be Hwang Minhyun. His visuals alone can count him suitable as center, but his expressions are versatile and could flawlessly embody mature, fresh and serious images.
