2017 1st Quarter Listens

Okay, so this is going to include both new and older songs. It's just what I've been listening to the most so far in 2017. I know it's a little but past the first quarter at this point, but ah well. It's not really in any particular order, just a general overview. I highly recommend every song on here, too.

It's not something a ton of people will be interested in seeing, but it's still something I'm interested in sharing, so I'm doing this anyway.

I would try and do what my itunes lists as my most played songs, but I dont use it often enough for it to be accurate. So, I'm just doing this based off of my own opinions. This is sort of just my favorite songs of all time, since I haven't done one fo these before, and I'm including it all. But, for the most part, it is what I've listened to most in the first part of 2017. At some point in this year, these songs have been on repeat for me.

Warning my music tastes are kind of diverse, so I can go from loving ballads to hardcore hip hop to rock music (although I don't know if there will be any in this list) in a matter of seconds. Music is basically what my revolves around. So... yeah.

There turned out to be quite a few, since I listen to music every day of my life, so I'll list it by Artist in alphabetical order, except sub-units/solos will be kept within the group.

AOA - Excuse Me

I'm rarely trashed for girl groups. Like, I like some of their songs, but I hardly ever actually "fangirl" over that group. AOA is one of the few, if not the only Girl Group that I do. Actually, they are the only, lol. I don't count Taeyeon, because I don't go crazy for SNSD, just her.
I just love them and this song feels so... classy TT

Agust D - so far away (ft Suran) and give it to me

Yes, I count him as separate from BTS, because when Yoongi did this, it wasn't as Suga of BTS, it was as Agust D, from D-town. I love Suran's voice (super hyped for her song that Suga produced) and give it to me is the kind of song I listen to when I wanna feel badass, lol.

Bap - Wake Me Up and Killer

I love Wake Me Up, I find myself singing it randomly throughout the day. And the fact that Bap trolled us with the Choreo cracks me up, lol. And, Killer is just super catchy.

Bigbang - Fxxk It

Yes, this song got me turnt. I love Bigbang when they do like this. It's just so fun.

Block B Yesterday and Toy

I didn't like Toy the first listen through, but the second time around I started to love it. And for Yesterday, it just... it's nice. The music video is cute but still has the Block B feel to it (as in showcasing how big of dorks they truly are).

Bastarz Make It Rain

I love how much P.O put in the second mini album for Bastarz. It makes me so proud. And... I'm always trash for Ukwon's voice.

Zico - I Am You, You Are Me and She's A Baby

Now, I love when Zico does hard stuff, but I also really love when he keeps it soft and these songs are just so smooth. It also is a very good example of how diverse he can be as an artist.

BTS - A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone, Outro: Wings and Not Today

I also really love Blood, Sweat & Tears like the rest of the fandom, but I didn't listen to it nearly as much as YNWA and Not Today. I would also be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with Spring Day, but I won't get into that here.

Exo - She's Dreaming

This is honestly one of my favorite songs of all time, if not the favorite. I will listen to this song endlessly it's just so beautiful.

Baekhyun - Take You Home

This is very new, of course, but I still love it so much, and not just because I'm Baekhyun trash. It's a nice song, and it gives me butterflies.

EXID - Night Rather Than Day

Another new song, but a good one. EXID is a hit or miss for me usually, but when they do release a song I like, I really like it. This is catchy, and one thing I love about them as a group is that they don't tend to go with the normal Girl Group flow. They're very unique.

IU - Palette (ft. G-Dragon)

Lol, more new songs. There have been so many releases though, it's hard to keep up.
I just wanna say, I love how coy IU is with her songs and her lyrics. She's not the sweet innocent girl next door everyone likes to portray her as, and she definitely shows in her music. I haven't listened to a ton of her songs, just a few title songs, but with this release, I really want to.

NCT

Alright... this... lol, this will be long. Let me just get on with it.

NCT127 - Limitless (album) and NCT#127 (album)

Yes, I'm listing both albums, because they've been on repeat non-stop. Every. Single. Track. I'm trash, and I'm sorry, except I'm not sorry. If you want specific recommendations, then go listen to Baby Don't Like It and Back 2 U, in addition to the title track Limitless, for the Limitless album, and then Another World, Paradise and Mad City from #127. You won't regret it (probably). And, while you're at it, listen to Taste The Feeling, lol.

NCT Dream - My First and Last and Trigger the Fever

My First and Last is so freaking catchy I can't stop listening to it it's scary. And, Trigger the Fever is also good.
But, bro, My First and Last. I was dead-set against stanning dream, because they're so young and I didn't want to sob over minors, but this hooked me. AND IT'S OKAY EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE MINORS BECAUSE I DON'T SOB I JUST GET GOOD FEELINGS THEY'RE SO HEALING I LOVE THEM THESE PRECIOUS BEANS.
...
Again, not sorry.
Also, NCT U needs a comeback, please and thank you, SM.

Red Velvet - Russian Roulette

I'm probably going to offend a lot of people by saying this, but honestly, I don't care. I don't really like Red Velvet. Let me reiterate, I do think some of their songs, on the "velvet" side are good, like Automatic, but as a whole, I am not a big fan of Red Velvet, because to me, they sound like a recreation of the classic f(x). That being said, Russian Roulette did hook me. I like this song and listened to it on and off since it was released.
It even made me wonder if I could, in fact, stan Red Velvet properly. But, Rookie ruined that for me (again, sorry not sorry. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I'm sure there are a ton of people who love Rookie and are obsessed with it, and that's cool for them).
Red Velvet just doesn't do it for me as a group.

Seventeen - Going Seventeen (album), Aju NICE, and Simple (Woozi solo)

I love every track on the Going Seventeen album. It's such a well made album. I'm trash for all of the Team songs as well as the group songs. Love&Letter has a lot of good songs too, but the ones I tend to listen to the most are Aju NICE and Simple. Also, No F.U.N because I've been trashed for that song since Seventeen Project.

SHINee - View and 1 of 1

There are so many SHINee songs I'd recommend, because they're just a super and amazingly talented group. But, to go with what I've been listening to recently, it's View and 1 of 1. I love how old school SHINee sounds even when they're new. That's one reason their music is so iconic. While everyone is trying to create newer and different things, SHINee is taking older things and funky-ing up to make it the SHINee style, and it's revolutionary.

Taemin - Press Your Number and Drip Drop

Taemin, my very first UB ever in kpop is still so important to me, and I'm so proud of how far he's come, going from have barely any lines in Replay to have amazing solo albums. I serenade my mother with Press Your Number, and forced her to watch the dance mv for it. Bless her.

Taeyeon - My Voice (album) and Rain

Rain is a bit like She's Dreaming for me. It'll never get old.
As for her new album. I'm so obsessed with it. I love the rock-pop vibes to it, especially I'm OK and Fire. HIGHLY recommend it.

Winner - Really Really

This is the last song and it's another new one.
I cannot properly express how long I've wanted Winner to come back. YG needs to work on their management skills, if it's so difficult for them to properly promote more than one group at a time.
But, this song is super catchy. It makes me wanna dance with skills I'll never have.

And that's it for this list... sorry if I offended anyone with the Red Velvet comment, because I even have some friends who stan Red Velvet hardcore. I just, personally, am not a fan. Just like I'm sure some of you aren't fans of every artist I listen to.

Also, bighit,
I'm still waiting for Jhope's mixtape.
