if that's the case, same question could be raised for every other super popular/hyped groups out there(not gonna name names for my life sake)...i don't think there can be a specific answer to give on behalf of everyone since different people would have different reasons. some would love the members, or the image/concept, or the music, or the fact that they're coed group, or the hype itself...you might not find them great, but obviously ppl loving their releases find it great n hence the hype...it's just a matter of different take n taste. i still love oh nana the most, don't recall didn't get to me as much, and rumor is a bummer for me since i hate the chorus n the continuous imbalance of parts even with just four members...but they definitely have consistently carved their own trademark of music n choreo...their song don't sound like any average kpop songs tbh...one would be able to tell it's their song since so far they're following similar style of music too closely i'd say...n they have a damn good team behind the marketing that made the hype worked even coming from a company many wouldn't usually care abt. it's fine if they're hyped and you don't like them though since it's not a requirement, i don't like at least 99% of other popular/hyped groups/anything. i like kard though despite being disappointed with the new song n worried of the path they're heading now.
