35 Questions for Writers

This was stolen from bowtiekai.

I'm tagging anyone who wants to do this, but for sure yongharu21 in particular. Lol, it's been a while since I've probably tagged anyone, so :p
I may have taken some of these questions a little too seriously, but Idc, lol. I answered honestly.

Let us begin~

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?
I don't really know how I came up with HeadToToesLove, to be honest. I'm a hopeless romantic, and maybe eyes, nose, lips played a part, but it was mostly random.  When I went to create an account, it was the first thing to come out. And honestly, I love it.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?
Lol, Fifty Shades of Jimin. Lot of y Jimin stans in the world.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?
Because I'm NCT Trash, and Taeyong is one of six biases (yes, six). You can see the other biases in my about me, with Taeyong.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?
yongharu21, on AFF and off. She's also my creative director, for all of my poster and background needs ;)

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Honestly, I don't read all that often anymore, and when I do, I rarely go back and reread something. But, I suppose if I had to pick one, it would be Withdrawal Symptoms by Kpopfox.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?
Probably around 66, but most of those are fics that I still won't get around to reading or haven't been updated in two years.

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
I don't think I particularly write au's? Or not purposefully, I suppose. I just write whatever inspires me and comes to mind.

8. How many friends do you have?
None. Lol, jk. On here, I'm not very social, so I don't send requests myself, but I'm very open to them. But, if anyone wants to have an actual conversation with me, they'll have to start it, cause I'm anti-social and awkward.
The current number on here is 274.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
I mean, aside from non BTS-centric fics, no. If there's a genre I want to write, or topic, I just do it, lol.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on aff? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?
Everything? To be honest, I'm not social so maybe socializing a bit more. Group chats, collabs with other authors, etc. IM OPEN TO EVERYONE (#desperate).

11. How many subscribers do you have?
Unique or total... I don't usually like sharing this, but I guess for the sake of this tag I will. Unique: 7719, Total: 12133. I have a lot of loyal subs, which I am very grateful for. >//<

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?
Hm, 13, I think, of actual stories, not extra threads, like my Korean thing. 14, if you count my drabble collection, which I don't because it's not really a story. Out of those 13, 6 are completed. Most of it was posted at the end of 2016, beginning of 2017. I both hate and am proud of myself for putting more out there, seeing as how, at the beginning of last year, I only had five total, three of which were completed in 2015.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?
I DON'T EVEN WANT TO COUNT. I'm assuming this asking how many I have planned (kind of) out. Honestly, the list is far too long for to try counting, but I'm pretty sure it's creeping closer to 100, though not quite. Just a guess, around 70, including fics already posted on here.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
If it's a story idea that I'm excited about, I write it down. If it's one that I feel is fleeting, I don't.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Yes, a few actually. One of which is currently on here. Fifty Shades of Bangtan. Check it out ;p (#ad). They're all currently with the same person, yongharu21, but like I said I want to collaborate with more writers in the future.

16. How did you discover AFF?
I don't remember. I was on AFF long before I created this account to write with. I was a part of AFF back when the old theme was the only theme, lol. I had never read fanfiction before, until my friend who writes HulkEye fanficiton on ao3 introduced the concept to me. Then, I went browsing for SHINee fics (my first bias group) and I guess that's where it started.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?
Lol, nope. Not even close.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Chiminions, even though that doesn't fit for every story, it's still what I consider all of my readers in my head. That name got it's start through Fifty Shades of Jimin back in 2015. I have yongharu21 to thank for the suggestion.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Hm, I mean I get inspired by writers on here every day. But, as far as taking the step to actually write and post something. No. That was all BTS, making me so excited to write again after a couple of years away from it. Particularly Min Yoongi.

20. How many karma points do you have?
This is another thing I don't like to share, but I will. I tend to give them away randomly (if anyone needs help bidding for an ad, or something), so it's now at 16806.
Karma points are mostly useless in my opinion.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
Quoting Shia here, but just do it. Even if one person is the only person to ever read your story, that's one person who you were able to enlighten and brighten their day for because of it. And, I guarantee, if you write and keep writing, there will be people who want to read what you have to write, and whose lives will feel a little bit better because of it.
No one on here is looking for perfection, they're just looking for love for the artists they care about. And you writing helps share that love.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
A bit of both. I'm a planner, so I usually plan them all out, but every once in a while, I'll do it at the same time, and plan as I go along.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
I've gotten a few, yes. Most of them weren't necessarily bad, they were constructive and I was able to look at it and better my writing because of it. If anyone on here does go around bashing stories, then their comment isn't worth dwelling on, anyway, because it's usually not meant to be helpful, only hurtful. But, constructive criticism is always something that should be welcomed and thanked for.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)
FLUFF. And . But, less so . Also Comedy.
I just have a hard time in general, lol.
The only thing I can honestly say I don't have an ounce of trouble with is writing something cheesy and romantic, because that's my life. Hence the username.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?
What stories am I not currently working on is a better question. That would be the completed ones you see on here, lol. I'm forever working on new and old stories that are incomplete.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
Clearly, seeing as how I have so freaking many. The ideas don't stop coming, I'm afraid. A tip for those of you writing, and who get inspired for something else while trying to focus on one thing. Allow yourself a little time to focus on that new idea, write the ideas down, etc. So that way, it's not going to eat away at your brain and you can get back to working on what it is you need to do now.
Or sometimes, it's best to move on to the new idea, otherwise writer's block likes to take action.
Do what feels right.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Sometimes, but most of the time no.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?
Of course. Everyone improves as a writer the more they write. It's inevitable. If you ever doubt your own improvement, go back and read your first story vs. your most current. There's your proof right there.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?
That I've actually written to, and not just planned out, it would be Rain, which I haven't posted yet. It's just... my favorite.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?
If I'm honest, Fifty Shades of Jimin. But, I don't hate any of my stories, so that's not necessarily a bad thing.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Good question. idk.

32. How many upvotes do you have?
Why is this a necessary question? This is why I didn't like the sub and karma point questions either. The level of which you write, and your status as a writer on here shouldn't be measured by the amount of subs, karma or upvotes you have.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?
The start of an idea. It's so easy for ideas to come to you, but after that is when it gets harder.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Writing, lmao. Sitting down and letting the words come out and not hating at least a fraction of it is damn near impossible. But, sticking through and doing it anyway is the only way to get past that.

35. Why do you write?
Because I love writing. I love these artist that I write about. It makes sense to pair the two things I love together. Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a child, and will continue to be one, even if I never make something of myself as a writer in the future.

"yongharu21 in particular"? thank you for officially tagging me ;3c i completely agree with you on karma, subs and upvotes, that doesn't determine how good you are as an author and never should, nothing but your actual content should actually matter, 'nam sayin'? (chyeah)
