170422 - 35 Questions for Writers

Not necessarily tagging anyone, but honestly if you find this stuff fun, I say go for it!!
Feel free to assume that I tagged you if you see this (-:

With love,
Young Mi

1) How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?

Actually it's quite a funny story. It's very similar to my username I had when I used Wattpad, and simply
made it similar just so people would know it was me on different sites. Quite literally, my name is Young Mi
and fluffy might describe me, however I would more likely say that I'm quite ty to a certain extent. (-;

2) Which is your most subscribed story?

Love's Encompass! (I pride myself in this story so much;;)

3) Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Oh geez, where to even begin. Well, seeing by how frequently I do write about Baekhyun, I just had to
choose a gif of him. Whilst scrolling along Tumblr, I found that gif from when he was playing League (nerd)
and immediately said to myself: "This is it, your new userpic." And voila, there it is now.

4) Who is your AFF bestie?

This is particularly a hard question for me since I absolutely adore everyone on this site and those who
frequently comment on my stories, but one of the closest friends I've made and have come extremely close
to is @lulu_mykewtdeer_xoxo <3

5) Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Am I going to be judged for most of these stories being ? Oh well. I absolutely enjoyed vanillasushi's
fics, in particular His Dark Side and Single Player [*quivers due to which I should mention is 11/10]. More
fanfics I can't seem to stop reading over and over again is anything written by earmoles. Ugh, I love her stories
so much and the plot to the , and character development? Truly works and gems.

6) How many stories are you subscribed to?

[gulps]

7) Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?

This is actually a tough question, since I do a lot fo AUs ranging from school!AU, to bad boy!AUs... I'd probably
say they're kind of cliche, but I try to have a unique twist to each one.

8) How many friends do you have?

145, definitely don't mind more people adding me as well!!

9) Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it?
(Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

As of now, I'm not really considering any new fanfics to write since my plate is already quite full. I'm more so
afraid of people getting frustrated with how spaced out my updates are in regards to time ;;;;;;

10)  Is there anything you would like to be better at on aff? Writing, graphic design (posters),
replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Definitely working with layouts and most importantly: updating regularly. My tough schedule as a student
makes it quite hard, however )-,:

11) How many subscribers do you have?

6,574 in total

12) How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

If we're only talking about AFF, I'd say I've written at least >15, but I've drafted and deleted some. In general,
I've probably written over 30-35 fics in total with having it be posted on various platforms online.

13) How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

Around 6, all of these stories haven't been touched in months, however. They're more so ideas I get on whim,
and try to finish them as one-shots but let it sit in my computer until I feel the need to ressurect them.

14) Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

With me being a very set person who doesn't like forgetting things, I do have the tendancy of writing them down.
I actually have just this huge note saved on both my phone and laptop with ideas that I may get when I'm out or
simply doing things around my house.

15) Have you ever co-authored a story?

I actually have not!

16) How did you discover AFF?

Gee, this was back in 2012, I believe? I was simply getting tired of Wattpad's scene and other sites I used to be
on and simply heard about the site being thrown around in the K-Pop fandom.

17) Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

LMAO you're kidding, right? All jokes aside, definitely not. I'm just one of the authors within the others (-:

18) Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Nope, however I do love to wish my readers 'With love,'.

19) Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I wouldn't necessarily say one particular author, but more so a collection of them because of how fascinated
I grew with the idea of writing for others to read and enjoy. I've always been more inclined to writing and jotting
down my feelings, so I'd say that every author's story I have read has at least contributed to my earnest will to
keep writing.

20) How many karma points do you have?

5,128

21) What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Honestly, I understand those who might make mistakes as a novice writer, however I think the biggest advice
I were to give you if you are deciding to write is to definitely become familiar with narrating and telling stories
through your words, and planning your story to a certain extent. No one likes the random birth of a character
without it having at least some connections to the plot.

22) Do you plot our your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Definitely both, depending on my mood and the plotline because some of my stories do require some research
just to mix some non-fiction with fiction work. For one-shots, I typically plan to a very minimal level, but for longer
stories I like to have some planning and whim with how I execute those plans.

23) Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I would say this has only happened to me once, and I honestly don't know how to perceive this person's comment.
There is a part of me that says it only builds upon some constructive criticism, but the friends who I had asked their
opinions about the comment told me that it could also be taken a different way. Nonetheless, I won't go into detail
for the sake of that person's anonymity ~

24) Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc...)

Hm, this is actually a hard question for me to answer because I usually write scenes/stories that I am comfortable with.
If anything, I would say getting more into detail with tense/tension-building scenes.

25) What story(s) are you working on now?

Oh geez... If I tell you, it sounds like I'm overworking myself beyond capability. I have about 4 stories on here that
I am working on, and a couple more that are on other platforms of media.

26) Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Hate to admit this, but yes... Especially when I get inspired out of the blue and if I see myself writing it to a certain
length, then I plan them ;;

27) Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Not necessarily since I don't want to stress too much over something that I love to do, but I do try my best to write
and update whenever I can.

28) Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Y E S. Oh my gosh, I'm just getting embarrassed at the thought of all my old stories I had written years ago.

29) What is your favorite story that you've written?

Definitely Love's Encompass.. I just fell in love with how I had written it and to this day, am quite shocked at
how much everyone loved it and how I wrote it as well!

30) What is your least favorite story that you've written?

All my stories are my babies, but the one that I don't particularly like isn't on AFF atm, nor is it published
on any site anymore. (It's just too cringey fam, y'all would wonder if it was really me that wrote that stuff or not.)

31) Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Hm, writing to me has always been a hobby, but I definitely still see myself writing for fun or just little drabbles
here and there; and not necessarily centered around fan-fiction.

32) How many upvotes do you have?

184!

33) What is the easiest thing about writing?

For me, I get inspired easily, and perhaps way too easily HAHA.

34) What is the hardest thing about writing?

I think it's mainly the process itself when you can't find the words to say as to how you imagine or wish for
the scene to be narrated, told, explained, etc. It's incredibly frustrating because after all, writers' best friends
are words, and when you simply can't find them or have them, we get pretty cranky.

35) Why do you write?

To me and from a very young age, I have always been vocally expressive and find it very easy to talk to people,
often times able to "sweet-talk" if I need it in essays or to mediate an issue between two friends. Writing is like
an outlet for all these crazy ideas I have, and to make them come alive through a medium where I am comfortable
using the tools I love the most. I've always found it very easy to elongate sentences, to find different words, or to
find other ways to narrate scenes so it naturally came to me to start writing about the different things tht come up
in my lil head ^^
