Cellphones and Laptops

I don't know how many of you write your stories using your phones but I do. I tried using my laptop to write my stories once, but it didn't work out for me. I sounded stiff, technical almost sterile when I typed on my laptop. It just felt different.

All my writing here is done on stolen time using my cellphone whenever I get a little break from reality. I'm always on the go so the cellphone is my main medium of choice because its always there conveniently inside my pocket.

When I finally got the chance to have a quiet weekend at home, I booted up my pc and was so excited that i could now type on an actual keyboard and I'd have spelling and grammar check at my disposal. FYI, I'm not a native English speaker nor do I have a degree on English so I do need help from time to time.

Lo and behold after typing up three chapters I read my work and frowned. I sounded like I was writing for work. It creeped me out. I turned the damn laptop off and went back to my cramped screen and cramped keyboard. Ugh. Oh, the sacrifices I do for creativity... The struggle is indeed real.

I tried typing on phone in absence of laptop but I couldn't do it. It takes too much time, almost thrice of what laptoo takes

That's interesting. I cannot imagine trying to type a story out on a phone! I haven't read your stories, but your English in this blog post is very good.
