Well, I say this endlessly, but I'm serious when I say NCT has taken over my life in such a short span of time. They've reeled me in quicker than BTS did, quicker than any group ever did, and they even made me start questioning my identity yet again, I hate them so much.

But, that's a blog post for another time, I'm afraid. I'll keep my existential crisis in the closet for now, and instead talk about the whole reason I'm overly excited yet again and making one in the first place.

That camp nano story I talked about? Yeah, it's gotten intense bro. Like, full-length-seven-story-series intense.

Let me give the official back story on The 7th Sense first.

It started out like this:

When I first got into NCT (thanks to the ever so lovely Ten looking fine af on a fansite slogan), the very first fic idea to pop into my head was about Mark. It was when I was still in denial of my bias status toward him, what with him being nearly three years younger and all (damn it). It was just a simple story, maybe a few chapters long, about a student-teacher relationship, kind of taboo (he would've been under 18 in the original story, but he's 18 in the new one). 

Somehow or another... it developed into a supernatural fic where Mark was a werewolf, and his teacher his mate. That's where it was at as of yesterday morning, in fact.

But last night, an idea for a spin-off popped in my head. And today another one. And when I discussed it with my friend, she was like "that's cool, bro" and I naturally took that as a "Hell yeah do this " (even if she didn't mean it that way, which she probably didn't. I'm just always looking for reassurances of my own whims).

But, of course, being the NCT trash can that I am, I couldn't stop at just one spin-off... nope, I had to make one for almost all of my biases (since you all must know by now, I can never pick one, and I just so happen to have like 8 amongst all of NCT, each sub-unit included). So two spin-offs turned into five. Six stories total.

And, when I asked the same friend what I should call this series, since it's kind of... weird, she was like "The 7 Senses" and I was like "oh ! I can attach a particular sense to each one and blah blah blah" and so I added one more story to the mix, to make seven.

And thus The 7 Senses series was born (like maybe an hour ago, officially? lol)

You guys already know about Mark's story, with The 7th Sense. I decided to base each one after one of their songs (original, I know ;p) the titles are not necessarily the song titles, though. I haven't picked all of the titles yet, so below, I'm just listing the member and the song it's based off, plotwise, as well as the sense associated with each fic.

I'm super excited for this series, and I hope to start posting it soon, starting with The 7th Sense. And I hope to get some support from some of you fellow NCT trash members, such as myself.

For those of you who don't know, the original five senses are Taste, Smell, Touch, Sound and Sight. The sixth sense is believed to be Intuition and the seventh sense is emotion.
