Rant; take: April 8th

Don't you just hate the kind of who casually comments "Ah, I learn more than that." the minute they find out you're at Art College?

Like honestly?

I always resort to mockingly laugh, roll my eyes and say "Yeah, right." and try not-to-ever reason with that sort of hypocrisy, taking that they should have been in a better place in the first place if they had the decency not to lower-another-persons-skills-and-education than themselves off the bat anyway.

So, if you're that person who thinks studying anything other than art makes you stand in a place higher, then hear me now.

Well, you're damn wrong.

Hey, true, we don't "Study" books in their raw format, but does that give you reason to dismiss hours and hours of painful study of colors, values, shapes, forms, perspectives, grids an artist must endure to perfect his craft?
Does the fact that we don't know the equations behind relativity mean that we are making less effort at life?

jeez, I dont know. Why is it so difficult to treat people with respect?

jeez, I dont know. Why is it so difficult to treat people with humanity?

I don't understand. Who dropped the chemical bombs in nothern syria? What on earth were they thinking? Were they thinking at all? Did you see the dead children, did you see the dying children? Did you see the people withering in convolutions?

Why do we do this to each other? What are these barriers? What makes you different from I? Our consciousness?

THEN TO HELL WITH CONCIOUSNESS.

I'd rather be a dead body than to have a consciousness that dare harm another for silly little reasons like borders. Like religion. Like color. Like ethnicity. Why do we come up with these concepts at all? What does it mean to be Asian? What does it mean to be North-Korean? What does it mean to be Jewish? Nothing. And yet, here we are, here you are, with possibly a larger set of counter arguments, trying so desperately to draw lines and separate us. But why? For what gain?

You and I are the same.

The pain you feel I feel too.

So why must we hurt each other as we do?

So why must I be less valuable than you are? It doesn't matter; if you're looking down on me because im an artist, or because im a jew. What matters is that you are looking down on me, and that spiteful, hateful, useless attitude of people RUIN this world.

Please, just kindly stop.

Every life is just as valuable as yours is.
