Daragon's Walk of Fame (though she was hiding/hidden like in shame)

It's been a week since...

So from what I've seen and read, the daragon walk was of them exiting the restaurant where the post-con party started, and walking to the bar where the party ended. First, there's Winner and Big Bang coming down the stairs, followed by a hooded Dara and THEN GD. His hand though was on her head, preventing her from walking ahead. He pulls her towards him, his arm around her shoulders, his hand on her hood as they walked in the midst of excited fans being shoved and sometimes yelled at by bodyguards. Dara's face is almost completely covered by her hood held securely by his hand. The throng eventually thins out since we can clearly see the road in one video. But in another, we see a somewhat packed group of people--including Soonhoo--following Daragon as they crossed the street towards the bar. GD walks straight, sometimes even managing a relaxed stroll with his head high. But Dara struggles as she's pulled close to him with her hood covering her face. As they walked towards the bar, GD turns and moves his head a bit closer to her before pulling his arm away and putting some distance between them. Near the entrance, Dara pulls down her hood. Her blond hair stands out as camera/phone-wielding fans surge behind them. (I'm waiting for pics or vids of her without the hood, from fans stationed ahead near the entrance.) Cut to the end of the party. Dara goes to her car escorted by men other than GD and followed by a woman. There's also a video supposedly of a very drunk GD. He's almost bent over as he walks towards his car, flanked and supported by bodyguards.

I don't know how many, but Korean media sites published a few articles on GD kissing and escorting/protecting Dara. (So no eye-rolling here.) YG responded by saying it was a joke by both of them. No direct statements though from the protagonists themselves, even in their recent posts. Since then, Lipstick Prince has been aired, and Dara has shared a preview of her photoshoot for CeCi Korea for the love month edition. So far, none of the guys is a dragon.

So what are my thoughts as of now?

First, I'm still waiting for a confirmation. So even though what happened can be explained by Daragon's real, for me the same still makes sense somehow when Daragon's unreal. I'm not even feeling excited about the whole thing. Hmmm, maybe in my mind, I am. Besides, YG stayed true to form. Some questioned its denial or the speed of its reaction. Or took it as proof that they are definitely not a couple. That it did not react to CL or Nana, etc. Ok, I don't know how the joke was received by most Korean fans or Knetizens (though I read more positive/so-so comments than otherwise, it was not supposedly a hot item over there), but many witnessed GD's blatant display of protection that just crosses the line of mere friendship. And it was to a fellow YG talent, whose latest guesting was shown just hours earlier and which earned her positive reactions. And whose group that used to slay others but is now, yeah, slayed; and is about to release its farewell song--or should I say its last dying breath? Ooops, my apologies to those still hurting over the group's demise. Just keeping it light, ok? Anyway, I think YG's reaction was understandable.

I don't agree though with the explanation itself. I don't care if it's lame. For me, YG has not crossed the line of too outrageous explanations in this case. But I just don't see Dara agreeing to a joke of this kind. She's not just saying GD's her ideal guy coz he carried her snowboard. I mean, almost every celebrity is asked about his/her crush. But GD keeping her close to him and kissing?! Simply beyond her wish to keep her love life under wraps. (GD, GD, GD... When are you eva gonna put the ring on her finga? So then she'll be able to reveal she's gonna get hitched--and to whom. Hopefully, it's you.)

I don't think there was a joke-kiss. Or a kiss. Period. Most likely it was to say something to her. I was surprised when many shippers said he did it coz I didn't see it. Then the media picked it up! I think they should've focused instead on how he almost strangled her, and made it difficult and unsafe for her to walk. Yeah, I'm contradicting my statement in my last post. That was not protection, maybe not even possessiveness, but dominating or bullying her! She needed to be protected from him! LOL. Actually, I only began to see it in that light--or should I say dark light?--after reading some comments that Dara was struggling somewhat. And I thought Yeah... Then I remembered her saying once that her story is falling for a bad boy. (Then Good Boy came out keke.) I used to think Bad Jiyong means dating other girls when he's in a relationship with Dee or when he knows she's in love with him or something. Now, I'm adding physical bullying to the definition. Ok, seriously? That wasn't really nice or completely protective of him. Especially when there are supposedly fan accounts that she asked him at least twice to let go of her--maybe because (a) there were no more people crowding on them, or (b) she just wanted to walk comfortably, or (c) she wanted to stop the pretense of whatever it is he wanted to show.

If daragon's real, he was probably jealous and staking his claim; or envious of all the skinships with a Thai idol, boyband hunks, makeup princes, and YGK+ models--anyone else we should know, Dara? *wink*wink* She's been tweeting about or sharing pics of those guys, too, and even that Ryan Bang. BB is going on hiatus, and he's THE boyfriend, so why can't he show some PDA? But YG probably told him a resounding: N-O-exclamation point. So GD went on a drinking spree and got too smashed to walk straight. Then YG clarified matters by getting inspiration from Dara's cosplay: GD's a Joker and convinced Dara that they both act out a career suicide attempt. Squad goals, anyone? Lol. Btw, I think it's too early for them to do a kissing scene on the streets at this point. He didn't even hold her hand which I think is a more intimate action than arm-on-the-shoulders (and that piggyback thing they love doing over there in the peninsula). Anyway, it has been announced that GD's going to release a solo album soon. And that's most likely the reason for the denial--er, I mean the joke. (Jiyong, ring on the finger sooner or soon after. Ok?)

Now, if daragon's surreal, perhaps he was just being protective at first when he saw the crowd outside the restaurant. Then he went paranoid mode by over-extending the bodyguard measure and nearly causing Dara to lose her footing, or air to breath. Or maybe, he was indeed covering up something. Kiko supposedly went to the concert. No news on Nana's presence though. The problem is, if Daragon are just friends, why would Dara let herself be put in that situation? That could explain her protest. But GD ignored it. As if he was punishing her. Or maybe he was just determined to see it through. Still...it just doesn't fit at all.

And why was Dara's hood up when she came out of the restaurant? Was it too cold outside? Or was it just like wearing a hat? Or she just didn't want to be too conspicuous? And why hadn't she posted anything related to the concert? Not even a pose with Winner? Oh, that would be too painful. Winner too has lost a member. But them girls also lost 2NE1. So far, only Ahreum has shared a pic of Dara. She captioned it with It's sad. Some said Ahreum was probably commenting on the lover's quarrel. Maybe. But I think she was referring to BB's hiatus and the sadness shared by its "6th member".

Maybe out of topic, but might be very relevant after all--but can I just mention that Dara looks really beautiful in the center photo of her Ceci Korea post? I've checked her partner's Instagram and there are pics of him where he resembles GD. Just saying.

I've also noticed in Lipstick Prince that she's now more relaxed and confident even when surrounded by guys. To the point that she even asked P.O. if he's still crushing on her or something. Even daring to embrace him in declaring him as the winner. I think her judging stint in the Philippines, and especially her y number with the boys in the finals had made her much more comfortable around guys (to the dragon's consternation). I hope this will help her improve much her acting skills. She's no longer a singing artist of YG. So I also hope she'll soon be busy with Korean TV dramas and movies, and not just endorsements, photoshoots, or variety/talk shows. No more web dramas, at least for now, even if it makes her more accessible to international fans. And if she does venture back to singing, I hope the songs fit her voice so I won't be wondering if it's her live voice I'm hearing, or the backup or the recorded voice track. She often sounds like auto-tuned to me whenever they perform.

DAY 16.

DARAGON RISING. NOT REALLY.

HARJOKE GOALS. DONE. (Sounds bad actually like YG's response, but the couple name matches, right? Har har)

WHAT'S NEXT?
