Question to Authors (stolen from??? tagged by??? Maerin)

Those who are tagged, please tag up to 5 people you know! Well... it wouldn't be only 5 people if all of you reading this  do this quiz thingy. unless less then 5 people read this that is

1. What was your first story? When was it published? What was it about?
It was a KyuMin story called "Last Christmas Eve". I was still really young back then so it was super cliche and cringy that I ended up deleting it before I even got to complete all my planned updates.

2. What's your favorite story you've written? And what's the plotline?
I haven't actually "written" any of these out, butI'm torn between Ugly Duckling (and Darling as its sequel), Glass Child, Oyeomjeon and another HyukBin story which I haven't thought of a title (for). I plan to start with Glass Child because it's the story that I'm currently most emotionally attached to. And yes it's a JiSeol story but that's not the full reason why :3

3. Have you ever written for a holiday/special occasion?
Last Christmas Eve lmao but I'm currently in a "Secret Cupid" session in which I'm stuck o

4. What username did you publish your first story under?
hyunntps

5. How many stories do you have (published) on aff? How many are complete?
I don't really know exactly how many stories have I published because I literally haven't clicked into my list since ages ago. But apart from the one shots, none of them are complete and are all discontinued because I'm a perfectionist. Probably the reson why I might never start writing again until I manage to broaden my vocabulary and brush up my plot frames

6. How many aren't published?
Glass Child, Darling, Ugly Duckling, Oyeomjeon, the untitled sequel of Oyeomjeon, the untitled Hyukbin story, the totally abandoned Suicide Asylum, Confession Page, Shipwreck, another untitled HyukBin psychological story, and a few more which I currently can't think of. Probably add up to more than ten lel

7. What helps you think or inspires you when writing fanfiction/stories?
The beauty and/or ugliness of humanity. I used to be very creative way back then until some personal reasons that made me become obsessed with perfectionism and it ironically limited me to only just a few ways to showcase myself to the public. I'm still struggling to tear down the borders that I unconsciously built for myself.

Goodness gracious I haven't been THIS poetic since forever

8. What date did you join aff?
August 27th, 2012.

9. What was the first tag you looked up when you joined aff?
I came to AFF through a Youtube trailer. I can't remember what was the first actual tag I looked up, but probably something EunHae or KyuMin since I was an enormous ELF back then.

10. Who are your top three favorite authors, and why?
I no longer write, nor do I still continue to read. As I said, perfectionism has caged me up and I just couldn't find ways to open up to new things.
But in person, I would say Blu3Wind (or is it Blu3wind?), pinboo (THE AUTHOR OF DER MARCHENCLUB ALL OF YOU GO READ IT NOW) and anghelsalupa (did I spell your username right?) have left a huge impression.
Clearly I would have said the authors of Black Paradise and Mercy but both of you have forgot to update your stories and I'm sad because of that :(

11. What is your opinion of kaistal? (I'm being serious, guys)
I'm not into the inter-SM group ships anymore since I no longer invest ALL of my time on the company like I used to, but KaiStal had been a thing before I stopped listening to SM frequently so it still affected my views on fxo ships. And I would say I never cared about KaiStal since forever nonethless lmfao

12. What type of story are you most in your element writing? Is it something you write often?
Perfectionism has does the same thing to me in this particular aspect. I'm best at thinking about angsty plots, but I guess since Glass Child has been THE story that helped me open up much, much more, I'd say for now, I'm most comfortable in writing something that's high school themed, especially when I'm still in high school now (I'm graduating but SHUT UP I'M NOT OLD)

13. What type of story are you least in your element writing?
I used to be stereotypically judgemental against high school stories because of all the kingka-queenka fukking bull, but I guess Glass Child really did wonderful things to my mindset. I'd say I'm still not used to it yet, but at least better than me writing some comedy or PWP or horror that either needs a huge sense of humour, a beautiful range of imagination in a particular aspect, or at least be experienced in horror-themed things.
Fun Fact: I embrace gore wholeheartedly but I can never be able to step out of my confort zone and watch some good classic horror movies because I cannot tolerate jumpscares. And only jumpscares.

14. What is one thing you hate seeing in comments?
I wouldn't appreciate it if I received five thousand unnecessary comments congratulating me for a feature if they didn't really get touched by my writing (another fact: I'm aiming for at least 50 votes for Glass Child which is why I'm trying very hard to perfect it yes I'm ambitious). Also I totally dislike it when readers start threatening authors to stop following up if the story doesn't go their way. You can't expect someone to help you change then entire ending of a well planned story while being able to keep the stats counts by updating on time. We need at least fifty times the time you use to read our stories for making sure every word counts as the value of the entire story.

15. What sort of author's notes do you make?
Just some greetings, apologies if I was late or will be late in the future, share some thoughts, add in some fun facts, et cetera. I personally don't think the author feed actually works merely because someone like me who's curious in everything wouldn't even bat an eye at the feed box lol so A/Ns are the only way for me to interact with every single reader. Just like how I always fill in my thoughts in the description boxes for all of my Youtube covers, though sadly not many read them and they just continue to blast the comment section asking for mofoking sheets.
JUST TO GET THINGS CLEAR FOR YOU GUYS READING THIS: I DON'T HAVE, NOR DO I USE ANY SHEETS.

16. Name three things you love doing when you write/update:
Listen to music, procrastinate, look up on Google Translate or my thesaurus for synonyms and word translation because the only problem I'm facing with every language I currently speak is my extremely narrow selection of vocabulary.

17. What are you most insecure about in your writing?
Vocablary. Plot holes. People not understanding why I wrote every single word. I'm not good enough. I want to get known for my favourite creation but I can't because it's not an EXO/SNSD/BTS story.

18. What is your favorite band/pairing/whatever to write about? Why?
I believe I'm able to write any pairing as long as I'm familiar with it. I tend to create this "stereotype" for each pairing because they all have different ways to be perfectly presented to the public without cringing anyone. But as much as I ship WonTaek and YoonMin more than almost anything else in this world (so far, to say the least), I feel like most of my plots lean towards HyukBin more than they should, which is something very peculiar to me.

19. And your second favorite? Why?
I don't know, really.

20. Name something you see in comments rather often.
"Update soon!" was such an "outdated" trend. Now people either share their five pages long anecdotes or just simply continue reading without uttering a word until the story ends.

21. Name a story you've (probably) neglected
All of the stories which I never had the chance to write, simply either because I was lazy, or I didn't know how to start, or because I don't want people to read something that isn't perfect.

I guess I really need to go to a psychiatrist to cure this emotional "trauma" thing.
