It's been almost 2 hours since the new year officially started for my part of the world. Happy New Year!

As it is January 1st, I would like to say happy birthday to our dear Sungmin, and also welcome back! I'VE MISSED YOU LIKE CRAZY. Honestly, when you left back in March of '15 I wasn't even completely sure I would still be orbiting around this fandom to welcome you back. It's almost been 3 years since I joined, though and I think I can say with certainty I'm not going anywhere. I hope you're happier now than when you enlisted, and keep getting happier with each passing day. I LOVE YOU, YOU 31 YEAR OLD FART.

Since it's a new year, I don't want to focus on the bad things that happened last year but rather the (few) good things. Here's my highlights:

• turned 18
• discovered (and fell in love with) Monsta X
• learned some self love (I'm kinda hot tbh)
• found out which of my friends are real and which were absolute sn(f)akes
• K.R.Y each released a mini album (and they were absolutely beautiful)
• my skin cleared up
• Star Trek: Beyond came out (and I've watched it at least 20 times since)
• Sungmin and Shindong have come back to us

Some things I want to accomplish sometime in 2017 or things I'll strive for:

• stop being a junk food vegetarian and eat more actual vegetables
• get a job
• improve my writing skills by testing my limits (aka leaving my comfy and secluded corner of fluff, drama and light angst) and dedicating my time to writing more, about 200k words
• become a better friend to those around me
• start strength training again to regain some muscle I've lost this past year (in which I worked out never)
• go to a Star Trek convention
• not become an utter mess and breakdown when Kyuhyun leaves to complete his two year service T.T (I'm already breaking this and it's 1/1/17 and he's not even gone yet)
