It’s just at times, they get too demanding and strict that eventually, Jude grows somehow distant from them from time to time. She can never tell them about her feelings or concerns because every time she tried to, she ended up getting lectured without being listened to. She bottles up her feelings and worries, concealing them from her parents because one, the aforementioned reason, and two because she’s afraid she will disappoint them in some way if she admits ‘defeat’; thus she’s more open to her best friends—that she considers as family—than she is to her parents.
— Childhood BFFs (kim jisoo & Nam Joohyuk) x Jude. They have known each other ever since jude moved to busan (age 12). the two dudes were already best friends around that time. joohyuk's house was opposite hers just across the road while jisoo's was right next to hers. they used to gather at joohyuk's house to play video games until the night crawls in, then eventually they had impromptu sleepover right after. their relationship never changed up till now as three of them moved out to seoul. joohyuk and jisoo live in the same apartment and they often crash at jude's to catch up or mess things up. it's always havoc when the three musketeers are in the premise.

summer. beach Party. sunset. relatively small event, limited to family, close relatives and friends only. intimate and simple but cozy and merry; everyone's happy. all whites and there are some paper lanterns or unique outdoor lamps which enhance the ambience of the event. there's a bar for people who want some booze to ease up, or simply hit on someone. buffet. the catering serves seafood, mostly, but there are foods for vegans and those who are allergic to seafood, too. plus salads and fresh desserts.
He's very intelligent and he always has been, therefore, he's been expected to be more mature than his age, and expected to behave a certain way and have a certain view of the world. Aside from his fits of melancholy and occasional existentialism, Namjoon is actually a really fun person—he has a great sense of humor and knows how to make people laugh and feel comfortable. He's a good hyung and a dependable leader, and he does a good job of being close enough with the members to negate the automatic awkwardness that the position of "leader" brings with it. He’s generally careful and timid, though he is prone to be very destructive and obviously not the best in multitasking department.
23 December 2015. it was very novel-ish, indeed. two days before christmas and all jude could think of was indulging herself in much fun that she forgot about the proposals and revisions she had to submit before christmas. one of her girl friends from campus rang her up and off she went to meet the rest of the clique at the promised place: a beer house. they had fun conversation over beers and small bites. then suddenly jude saw a hot guy at two o-clock, very attractive with his tall stature and body which had muscle at the right parts—especially shoulders and arms that made her felt like she needed to be held by those yes. Anyway, he came with his homies and they were sitting two tables away. She caught him staring at her a few times, and vice versa, until he beckoned her to come with him so off she went. They had a private talk at one corner—he was civil enough to talk with her where everybody could see—and he asked her for her number. An hour later, she had to go home because curfew, so they texted the night away. he told her that he was a student, class of 2009 (4 years older) and was studying in medical school in japan to become a surgeon. they kept on texting for a while and at times they lost contacts for one to three days but it was all fine and friendly, still.
25 january 2016. came semester break and she finally had the chance to go on a trip to japan with her girl friends from campus—they had planned this for a year—and she met him again there. all the while she stayed in japan for a week, he accommodated her with her needs and even took her on a tour despite his schedules being tight af. At the airport when he drove her and her friends there, he finally told her that he was immensely interested in her and would like to take it further, but he didn’t mind waiting for her to be ready for the relationship.
14 february 2016. it was sunday and she didn't care if it was valentine's day whatsoever but she hoped the person who rang her bell at 6 am needed a punch in the face. though she had to take her words back as she opened her door only to be utterly surprised by his charming smile and a messy bouquet of flowers—knowing him, she knew he tried, but yeah, he's the god of destruction. he looked hella bomb and smelled so good and she didn't waste any moment to just throw her entire soul into his embrace, she did. after that she had to spend 10 minutes to convince him that it was totaly alright to accidentally left her birthday present at his hotel room. they agreed that the birthday made it up.
12 september 2016. it was his birthday, and the day we always love to hate: monday. he had gone back to seoul a couple of months prior and had submitted admission for his residency at Yonsei university health system. too bad they had a fight over who left the windows open that they woke up with cold that very morning. and it was more unfortunate as they fought for real instead of just a prep for a birthday surprise. until when she called him to apologize and instead heard from his colleague that he was hospitalized from dehydration from over-exerting himself the past week. She rushed to the hospital only to find him sitting in the hospital bed, receiving treatment from drip needle and looking healthy. His colleague exaggerated things because he knew it was Namjoon’s birthday but he wasn’t having it since he was losing focus every now and then. Long story short, he proposed to her in that hospital room and she cursed the living heck out of him before commanding him to slide the ring to her ring finger. “… By the way, isn’t it supposed to be your birthday? why am I the only one getting the surprises …”

how do you know kim sohye?
"i believe it was my cousin's wedding. sohye-nim was the wedding planner and i truly fell in love with every single detail in the event," she does an exaggerated hands gesture to emphasize her point, "it was so wondrous i lost my ability to speak."
why do you want her to plan your wedding?
"i liked nora robert's brides stories," she pauses and lets out a feeble chortle, "somehow i've come to idolize those kinds of weddings. and the moment i saw sohye-nim's work at my cousin's matrimony, i started doing more research on her works and preferences. it goes without saying that she is the one i want and need."
have you ever attended any kim sohye planned weddings before?
with eyes twinkling in utter delight, she answers, "yes, i have."
do you have anything to say to her?
"i trust you," she speaks as she curves up a soft genuine smile.
are there any special requests you have if she happens to plan your wedding?
it's cliche but i want a scene where jude is taking care of joon like a mother instead of a girlfriend because he gets too destructive at times it's unbelievable.
