hwang ryu min, also known as pierre hwang, was born in france, being the middle child, he had an older brother named hwang tae oh and a younger sister named hwang ryu jin. his family lived in france for a few years before moving back to korea where he grew up. his family wasn't exactly the richest but they weren't exactly poor either. they had enough to get by and put the kids into extracurricular and occasionally whatever they wanted. all three siblings were quite close to each other and well-equipped with sports. ryu min took on soccer and swimming. when he entered high school, he was the co-captain of his swim team, but he never proceeded on with soccer. he had always been the humble and giving type of person, he enjoyed helping others out and putting others before himself. when he got to college, he had receieved a scholarship for swimming. starting college, he had always known growing up he was fairly attractive but never really dated anyone - so he got his first girlfriend in college and that didn't seem to work out to well... or the next three. he had that face of a playboy and yes he did mess around, but he was quite loyal and lovely dovey once he was committed to one girl.
by his fourth and last year in school, he met his future wife at one of his swim meets and she so happened to be his best friend's younger sister. jaeeun wasn't really the girl who was attracted to him in the first place. which was a huge surprise, because who couldn't resist him. he was the school's star swimmer and handsome boy. he would have been walking in the halls when he spotted jaeeun to only see she made eye contact and immediately turn away and walk the other way to avoid. sometimes he'd run up to her and drape his arm over her shoulder, "what's up belle fille?" he'd whisper. she'd give him a disgust look sometimes, "god - i thought i made clear that we aren't friends or anything."

after awhile being friends, especially having to come by her side of helping her for a few mishaps through the month, he thought and hoped it was ok to become a couple. (honestly her emotions towards him were so indifferent he didn't know whether it'd be a good idea) "look my sister likes you, bro!" his best friend, sungjae claimed. "you don't have proof."
"well, i guess all those times she was sleep talking didn't mean anything..." he shrugged and slowly slipped away. "actually im kidding i dont even know if she likes you - do it anyways." he popped his back into the room before leaving when ryu min threw a pillow at him.
after gathering up all the courage, he asked jaeeun, surprisingly she said yes. fast forward to being together for two years, through useless arguments and late night food trips and stupid pranks, he decided to pop the question. actually scratch that, it was before he popped the question. "what if she says no?" he looked at sungjae. "i wouldn't be surprised, I would have left you long ago,"
in shock to hear his own best friend say so, "what the hell do you mean, you ??" sungjae popped a candy in his mouth, "you're just simply boring and not a good fit for her -- look i was ok bc you are my best friend." seeing ryu min bummed out so quick, sungjae held in his laughter. ryu min slid into his blanket, "so that's why she hasn't been answering my texts lately..."
"no she hasn't been answering because she dropped her phone in the toilet you sappy douche, i was messing around - pop the question. i'm excited."
after that stupid joke again, ryu min ended up popping the question over the dinner with her family. excited and estatic she said yes, he promised to make her happy the rest of her life no matter what it could be.

convinced he was amazing at his sport, everyone thought he'd continue on and try and be an olympian. however, that wasn't necessarily his dream. he just did it for a few more years of free education. smart, right? currently, he had gotten his bachelors degree in political science and is currently working on getting his masters. he's a professor at yonsei university teaching political science as well. he generally only has four morning classes and ends his day at work by 2:50 p.m. or sometimes later, depending on how he runs things that day. usually, knowing how mad his wife gets at him for being on wifi too much, he sends her a bouquet of roses every thursday as a way of saying, "hey baby im sorry but i still love ya." people majority of the time say they're a fun and energetic couple, but that's because ryu min is the king of jokes and humor. but it's starting to become like a robot and human talking. he feels bad because he could feel that he's slowly getting in a drafted away from his wife bc of the wifi issue, but he doesn't know how to fix it besides giving flowers and doing laundry as an apology.

the lovely queen/ wife of hwang ryumin. he wouldn't say it was love at first sight with this chick, but it was definitely something he knew, "damn gotta make her my girl." maybe not at first, but it was still that feeling. ryu min would like to say that he's quite affectionate with her, giving cute pet names and all that. or surprising her with flowers. this girl and her blunt reactions to things kinda balances out his childish behavior which is something he definitely need, he likes to always think of her as his other-half (like all couples do) but he means like, "she was meant for me sungjae." "dude, shut up, i'm tired of this sappy ." sometimes people are surprised that how could someone so mature marry someone like ryumin, sometimes its suspicion that she married him for looks, but they both know that isn't true.

these two have been best friends since the beginning of their ol' college times. they were the two people on the swim team everyone hated probably because they were good swimmers, but they were the kids that did whatever to get others into trouble or cause ruckus. trouble makers. sungjae pulls too many pranks on ryu min and he falls for it everytime but these two are inseparable. he's the person ryu min comes over too for problems or ways to fix something he messed up on with jaeeun. and sungjae takes those chances to mess around and piss off ryu min.

i think, in the beginning i was an amazing husband. everything was about "wife wife wife wife" -- a-and, it still is. because i still adore my wife like no other. but overtime, i got caught up in other things and i feel like i haven't been the best to her but i'm trying though.
