— a social butterfly. that would be the best way to describe jieun. she's very friendly and has no qualms socializing with others. she enjoys being with her friends and those she cares about. she is great at holding a conversation and is overall just a great speaker in general. need an opinion on something? ask jieun, she's quite the honest gal. she nevers lies to anyone, ever. in fact she hates lying a lot and it's one of the only ways you could get on her bad side. she believes the truth is better than being under any false information. great with words, jieun is also very charismatic. she practically oozes with charisma and is very alluring to others. she is very confident and it shows in the way jieun carries herself. she isn't shy or a wallflower, rather she is out socializing with others and making herself and others associated with her, look good. she's amazing at making impressions on others and it's all due to the fact she is so sociable, honest, and confident.

— honesty is best right? well, it is, but not if you are as blunt as jieun. she tends to tell "it like it is" and is very brutal with her words. she often hurts others' feelings with her words or honesty and is often being reminded to be more gentle. she a rough one and doesn't think honesty should have a safety filter. jieun is definitely quite the beauty, which is why she's so vain. she tends to think that her pretty face is her best selling point. if she wasn't pretty, she wouldn't have anything; at least according to jieun that is. she tends to think she's the best due to being so vain and is often concerned about her appearance. but don't test jieun, she's known to be defensive. she doesn't like when people complain about her or even if they say she's wrong about something. it really irks and irritates jieun to no end and she's extremely defensive about everything. not only for herself, but also to those she cares about dearly.

background

— jieun was born on november 11th, 1995 in busan, south korea. she is the oldest of two children, having one younger sister named jinah who is currently fourteen years old. ever since jieun was little, she was always praised for how cute and pretty she was. this led her to being put into pageants by her mother, who was a former miss korea contestant. just like her mom had tried, jieun wanted to become miss korea one day. of course, jieun had to start off somewhere which ended up being at a couple busan pageants. other than attempting to become miss korea one day, jieun had lots of school friends. she was very popular and had quite the social circle back then. she was the girl that boys had a crush on and was constantly being confessed to, though she rejected them all. jieun was too busy with school, pagaents, and perfecting her talents to date anyone. her original talent for the pagaents was baton twirling but she then moved on to singing once she began to receive lessons when she was twelve years old. in 2010, jieun one miss teen busan at only fifteen years old and felt as she was one step closer to becoming miss korea one day. however, before she could enter any more pageants, jieun quit after her mother suddenly passed away. her mother had taken her life, for reasons unknown and jieun became distraught. for an entire year, jieun isolated herself from everyone and tried to understand why things had turned out the way they did. with help from her father and her best friends, jieun soon got back on her feet and found herself again; through singing and music. when jieun was sixteen years old, she auditioned for sm entertainment as a vocalist. luckily enough, jieun got in and began her five year long training under the company.

jieun and mijoo have been best friends since almost forever. the two used to do pageants together but both have since retired. they often text and call one another via cell phone. when they can hang out, they often just chill around and eat good food while catching up with one another on life and other current events going on. mijoo is jieun's rock and confident, she's the person jieun goes to for support, comfort, and advice.
