I think this was also before YG said that their comeback is dependent on CL's successful debut in America. (That must be a lot of pressure on CL. I suspect YG thinks a comeback in Korea won't reach the success level they've set for 2NE1. MAMA was in Hong Kong. And though the girls got a very warm reception there and from other international fans, the negative reaction back home must have been significant enough for YG. And isn't 2NE1 the first YG talent to have a more (mainstream) impact in the US? Before Big Bang and Psy? They had more English in their songs and the 3 girls could converse in English. I don't know why the album produced by Will.i.am's group didn't push thru though. Anyway, a successful CL debut in the US could pave the way for a strong 2NE1 debut in US mainstream.) So it's not surprising that Dara did the unthinkable this time. We know how supportive she is to younger and upcoming YG talents. We saw it with Winner, Ikon, Lee Hi, the sibling duo. But nothing for those girls a year ago but are now Black Pink. I wonder if she's giving them the silent treatment too whenever they meet. I'd like to believe she doesn't. Not sure though if she's as warm to them as she was before her own group got kicked off to the sidelines.
