     one thing's for sure: everywhere she goes, ahjung is the resident random voice
of reason; a wet blanket, to some others. most people often just misinterpret her
actions as that of a person who's " no fun ", mainly due to the way she tries to get
her point across. which, to most, just hurts her reputation as one of the prettiest
girls on campus. (who even calls someone who barely even has time to comb her
hair anymore due to the piling schoolwork pretty???? go figure.)

     ahjung is the combination of brick walls, baby's skin, and night -- personified.
a girl of not too many words -- and if she does talk, it's usually in a chastising way
-- she's the living embodiment of your conscience, so to speak. more often than not
she refuses to associate herself with parties; " rowdy excuses for people to make
very bad decisions ", if she puts it. she's someone who values her privacy, often
moderately uncomfortable in any given social situation. while verbal interaction isn't
her strongest suit, her keenness in observation gets her by, having a rich internal
world of understanding about everything that happens around her. she absolutely
hates attention being drawn towards her, and is (for the most part) a very guarded
individual -- just ask thomas how long it took for her to come out of her shell to
even talk to him for a solid ten minutes (half a year, although no one really needs
to know about that). ahjung is the the Cs: cool, calm, and composed, never really
losing her temper unless provoked excessively.

     not everything in life is fine and dandy in ahjung's point of view; but then again,
being overzealous isn't her forte either. always looking at the pragmatic side of life,
she's a stickler for rules, dutiful and responsible every way there is (it's her worst
weakness, really). she dislikes spontaneity, shuns the thought of having to go way
out of her designated comfort zone just to please others -- she strives for balance,
and balance, to her, comes in the form of routine, of familiarity. ahjung may find
it difficult to keep up with the ever-changing tides of life without anyone to guide
her through them, since what she wants is stability, an anchor to keep her rooted
to the ground. this may explain her reaction when thomas tried persuading her to
join the prom committee (" tommy, you know very well i hate parties. " " just think
of it as some kind of... book fair! "), as well as how it came as such a ground-
shaking shock to her when they were forced to flee the premises when the undead
started piling up in their school.

     on another note, ahjung is born organized -- having a well-developed sense of
space and function, she's good at finishing tasks without any spoonfeeding or help
from others. due to this, you could say that she achieves goals she sets for herself
more often than not, and may (subtly) help people out when asked to. while she is
not the intellectual prodigy at daehwa, she handles schoolwork fairly well. the
procrastination is always there (because really, who doesn't ever procrastinate?),
but she's quick to understand new concepts, although it may take time for her to
come into terms with the harsh realities of life.

FAMILY: (just representations of her family; they're not the actual fcs. lmao.)

     ❄ mom and dad // daddy dearest is a prosecutor, mommy dearest is a child
     psychologist; it's no wonder where ahjung got her brains from. personality-wise,
     though, soojung is the only one considered to be a legitimate daughter. ahjung
     and her parents get along quite well, although she would really like it if they
     toned down their smothering a bit. she's 17, for chrissakes -- that entitles her
     to have space for herself in order to grow independently, right? other than that,
     their relationship is relatively smooth-sailing; ahjung may not outwardly show it,
     but she cares for them a lot. as if brewing them morning coffees and giving
     them the daily newspaper isn't any obvious indication.

     ❄ older sister // whereas ahjung is the so-called resident wallflower of the
     tae household, soojung is the exact opposite; outspoken and (unfortunately) a
     bit tactless, it's no wonder she's been considered the monkey for years.
     it's safe to say that even though soojung is 20 and a university student, it's her
     younger sister who acts like her age. albeit on the lazy side, though, soojung is
     very much smart like the entire family; the only problem is that she knows she's
     too intelligent for her own good, that she takes it for granted. ahjung's only
     worried she'll be her own downfall in the future.

     ❄ yoon "tommy" thomas // he's ahjung's definition of coincidence; both of
     them spent majority of their lives in london, and actually went to the same
     school for approximately ten years. being the only koreans in their class, it was
     common for them to be seen hanging out together. ahjung won't admit it to
     anybody else, but thomas is the first person to ever even try befriending her,
     and subsequently succeeded. when her parents decided to settle down in seoul
     for good, ahjung never really expected to see him again... until he transferred
     to daehwa. needless to say, ahjung finds thomas' personality rather dynamic,
     but hey, ten years with the bloke and it comes as no surprise to her anymore.

     ❄ kang jooyi // aka the bane of her existence, it's a wonder how jooyi even
     managed to break through ahjung's (mostly) chilly exterior. very much like her
     sister when it comes to being polar opposites, jooyi's most prominent trait is her
     lack of mind-mouth filter; the girl's notorious for being daehwa high's swearing
     machine. phone conversations between jooyi and ahjung usually end up with the
     latter putting the phone down on her, lest she talks her ear off. people would
     think that being the school director's daughter, jooyi would be more... refined
     and proper, so to speak. here's the thing, though: she finds refinement boring.
     so much for being an elite.

PROM DATE (+ LOVE INT?):
 

     ❄ moon taeil // a guy from ahjung's class who jooyi claims is " hitting on you,
     you denser-than-concrete english brat!! ". being the class president during the
     time when ahjung enrolled into daehwa, it was taeil who was assigned to show
     her how the ropes worked in the institution. he's well-mannered and a good
     student, vaguely trying to ask ahjung out (his attempts don't often go unheard
     of by jooyi) on more than one occasion, which seemingly doesn't get his point
     across; ahjung unconsciously brushes them off as merely friendly remarks. when
     he asked her to prom, however, ahjung didn't even bother to hesitate and
     replied to the affirmative; first-come-first-serve basis, and it's a plus that she
     knows the guy, so what can she say?

     ❄ ahjung's favorite pasttime is reading. secondary to that is giving herself --
     and the people around her -- pep talks. man, her little professor dialog just
     drives people crazy sometimes.

     ❄ she has bouts of naivete. really, though, she's not as composed as you think
     she is. (" if only we had pixie dust... ") 
 

     ❄ closet romantic // she's not a robot; even those romance novels at home
     have an effect on her, too. and she secretly likes rewatching ten things i hate
     about you over and over again.

     ❄ ahjung doesn't swear. not even in english. if she feels like doing so, she just
     changes the derogatory word into something else. (e.g. = fishsticks, sh*t =
     shoestring, a-hole = stinky sock lover, etc.)

     ❄ ambidextrous // primarily a lefty, but she writes with her right hand.

     ❄ marvel geek // don't even get her started on the numerous discrepancies
     that the movie versions have.

     ❄ lowkey savage. she disses people whenever she's in a bad mood. (e.g. to a
     short person = " oh, a stray oompa-loompa. where's willy wonka? ")

     ❄ takes pinky-swears very, very seriously. jooyi's been on the unfortunate end
     of this, when she pinky-swore to watch a horror movie with ahjung; needless to
     say, she barely got out alive.

     ❄ took part in the prom committee only because thomas persuaded her to. if it

     wasn't for him, she wouldn't even have gone to the event, anyway.

     ❄ ahjung is prone to sinusitis; she carries around a small vicks container and
     antihistamines in her bag in case her allergies strike.
