APPEARANCE : The most defining feature about Jinjoo would have to be her eyes. Dark brown in color and so deep that someone could get lost in them and almond in shape. However its more what she does with them than how they look that really makes them stand out. Her dead piercing glares can stop just about anyone in their track or in the middle of a sentence and back away from the cold chilling aura that she releases. But honestly she has everything going for her beautiful face, pale smooth blemish free skin, and a body to die for so she honestly cannot undstand how she was passed up for the visual. 

Her style is always top notch she will not leave her home unless she is looking her absolute best, which includes designer track suits for training and only the finest of sleepwear because even if she's robbed in the middle of the night she will greet her mugger with her best foot forward. First impressions are everything and she wants everyone to know just how much better she is than them in every way possible. Her long reddish brown hair will be styled to perfection and her makeup will be on point. She will also add heels to every single outfit, but when asked why expect a cold glare as the only response.

PERSONALITY : 

Articulate, Brave, Straightfoward: Jinjoo is quite articulate despite how one would think considering her overall attitude, but when she has an idea of how something should be done or if someone's plan is wrong she's going to tell them and give them an entire presentation with evidence on why she's correct and they're wrong and then give another one on how they can work on improving their wrong idea. She also has a way with words that almost makes a person want to listen despite the horrible things that are escaping her lips while she's doing it simply because of how she says it. She can make even the more ridicilous notion seem reasonable with her massive arsenal of vocabulary.

Her bravery knows no bounds, although most of the time people things its stupidity since she has no idea when she needs to just shut up and listen. If something needs to be said she'll say it, regardless of who it is. Marcus the well known bad boy in the company? Jinjoo will go up to him with no fear and tell him to shut his mouth if he's being too loud for her liking. Staff members too busy gossiping than working? That's right she'll tell them right where they can put their gossip and threaten to get them fired if they don't actually get to work.

Guess it's not so hard then to imagine that she's as straightforward as a person can come. She doesn't care for the behind the back treachery from her sunbaes but would rather see the faces of those who she talks down to and completely ruins with everything in her power. Some wonder which would be better someone who will play nice and then stab them in the back or someone who is honest with them from the start and most, surprisingly enough, choose Jinjoo because despite her nasty words is genuine and doesn't have the time or care enough to actually lie to them.


Thorough, Self-Reliant, Confident: Jinjoo takes great care and pride in finishing everything that she starts. Nothing goes unfinished because she would then feel that a chapter in her life would then be incomplete and she couldn't move on to the next part on her life if the part before isn't done first. She could be called meticulous since she wouldn't give even the smallest detail go without being done, but the end result always turns out great in her opinion so she doesn't listen to those who tell her otherwise. It also shows that she's driven and is dedicated to do whatever necessary to make sure that all of her plans and projects turn out to be a huge success.

Ever since Jinjoo was little she was taking care of herself and has grown up to be self-reliant, and refuses to depend on anyone to take care of her. She won't ask for help, advice, or guidence, always working to find the answer she needs herself even if it takes a whole night of research to do it. Honestly speaking she probably doesn't even know how to ask for help if she did need it, not that she would ever admit it in the first place. She does a good job, never being late to school or even missing a day of training, coming so far to come in when she had the flu because she refused to be looked down on and be seen as weak in any sense. 

This child practically oozes confidence when she walks, without even having to say a word. Jinjoo is the kind of girl who never shows the cracks in her exterior and always seems like she has her life together even when she doesn't. Her head is always held high, her appearance immaculate, not even a hair out of place, and she never lets anyone else get the better of her because once that happens it's all over. It's hard to believe that someone so mean and who has no friends could be so confident to stride into a room without so much as a little self doubt cross her mind but that's just how self assured Jinjoo is, or rather how she allows others to see her in public.


Aggressive, Sarcastic, Observant: Jinjoo is aggressive in both senses of the word, she'll confront those who come after her, but also puts everything into achieving her goals. She's not one to back down from any kind of challenge thrown her way, and whoever was the one who had questioned her is going to deeply regret it. Almost everything that comes out of is sarcastic, so much so that its become an artform of hers. No one can handle her because they can never tell if she's being serious of if she's full of it and is just egging them on, which is what she's doing lets be honest, and is one of the main reasons she has no friends. People better watch themselves around Jinjoo because she notices everything and is always on the lookout for something she can use to her advantage, especially against those who she see as a threat. She won't bother with the blackmail, it's beneath her, and will just directly unleash the new information to the world and then watch her enemy crumble in front of her, making sure that it was her who had been their undoing all because they had said something in passing without noticing she was there. 


Abrasive, Cynical, Paranoid: She is probably the definition of abrasive. If the cold bone chilling aura surrounding her doesn't make a person stir clear it's the soul crushing words that soon follow when someone gets too close to her. Many compare her to a stray dog who's been out in the wild so long that they don't know how to accept a freindly hand when it's offered. Jinjoo of course says otherwise and simply states that friends and other meaningless relationships will only hinder her from doing what she wants to get done in her life. 

Its because of this thought process that she's seen as the pinicle of a cynical person and is another reason why most avoid her. Nobody wants that kind of negativity in their life and well that's all Jinjoo is so she's treated as if she's been infected with the plague, not that she cares at all about that and actually welcomes the analogy, finding it quite amusing and to her liking. She feels that everyone is like her and only care about number one so why bother trying to help someone else out when it won't benefit yourself in the process? She just cannot understand how there are selfless people out there who do it for "the greater good" since there really is no such thing in this cold cruel world. 

But deep down there is something that Jinjoo is paranoid and afraid of and that's her complex being found out. She's seen as this confident and self-reliant girl who needs nothing but her own wits to get through life and if anyone figured out that she's practically killing herself to keep her immaculate image she would be crushed and brought back down to Earth with the rest and have to admit that she doesn't have everything figured out. Whenever she feels someone getting too close to figuring out the truth she does whatever she can to make sure that they're crushed by their own deepest fears first so they're too busy dealing with themselves to bother with their suspicions and she's safe again, but she's always glancing around watching the others extra close for any kind of hint that they know or are on the right track. 


Resentful, Rude, Ungrateful: If it wasn't already easy enough to tell its best not to get on this girl's bad side and wrong her in any way because the moment the person does she is already plotting their demise and is putting the pieces into place then it's only a matter of time until they feel the wrath of one Baek Jinjoo. She works as a slow acting poison the effect happening so slow you don't actually see it coming until its too late and she's standing there watching with a smirk on her face and glint in her eyes, probably the closest thing to happiness in this girl can feel in her cold dead heart, letting them know just who is the only one who can take credit for the storm that had taken place. Taking credit of something she did will definitely get that person the number one spot on her hit list, since no one, except maybe Ilsun, is smart enough to come up with her schemes.

Jinjoo is incrediably ungrateful. Doesn't matter who did what for her she will act as if nothing happened. CEO allowed her the debut in the new group? Got an earful and demanded an explaination on why she wasn't the visual along with the main rapper and main dancer, and then demanded to know who the girl was her took her position. Passing a huge sunbae group at a music show who showed her nothing but kindness and good words? Not so much as a glance in their direction as she kept walking to where she was meant to go. She wouldn't know how to be polite if she took several classes on it because she feels that she doesn't have to be respectful to those who she feels are beneath her, and well to be blunt she feels that almost everyone around her is beneath her.

BACKGROUND : 

Jinjoo was born on October 31, 1997 in Ulsan, South Korea and even as a baby she was quite the handful and had a glare that even made the nurse take a couple of steps back in surpise when she went to go check when the baby didn't cry. She comes from a fairly well off family, her father a high class business man who was constantly leaving the country for his business trips, and a mother who is a well known makeup artist, making a name for herself, and an older sister by four years, Inhwa, who was already well on her way to becoming an acomplished pianist, Jinjoo learned at a very young age that nothing but that best would be accepted and she was ready for the challenge. 

As the years went by Jinjoo found herself being compared to her older sister again and again by her own mother, which was slowly starting to eat at her self-confidence, and esteem. When Jinjoo placed second in her ballet competion at the start of her middle school first year her mother reminded her that when Inhwa was her age she had won first in not only her own ballet competition, but also in piano, all while keeping her grades up and being first in her class and started her modeling career. That was when her complex had started only she didn't know it then because she had only thought of it as the beginning of jealousy that she had to squash. 

After that Jinjoo had done everything to make her mother happy. Finishing top of her class in middle school, getting into a prestigious private high school, while never falling behind in her dance or violin lessons, but it was never good enough. Why? Because she wasn't pretty enough for her mother's approval. While her sister had the high bone structure, the silky smooth hair, fair smooth skin, thin but lean body, and towering height Inhwa was the perfect model and was constantly praised because of it, Jinjoo on the other hand wasn't as lucky, she had the fair skin, and the beautiful long hair, but according to her mother that was it, her face was much too puffy and she was way too short topping at a sad 165 cm when Inhwa was blessed with 175cm, so she did the only thing that she thought she could do to please her mother, and started starving herself while doubling her workout to lose the weight. She thought about plastic surgery but her mother made her opinion about how much she hated it apparrently clear so that was out and this was the only solution until she could find another, better one. 

Her answer came to her when during her second year in high school when she was in class and was listening to a few of her classmates talk about the latest kpop groups and a new co-ed group had come into conversation, particularly about how they liked the new member, and her great face and insane rapping skills, that had given her an idea. Maybe just maybe if she tried out for this company with her skills and looks and then she would have to become the visual, which then her mother would have to admit that she was just as good if not better than her perfect model sister. However she didn't know the first thing about rapping and though she was confident that her many years of dancing in a variety of genres, the one good thing her parents were good for, that wasn't enough and to make sure this plan was going to work she had to add another skill to her resume. 

Learning to rap turned out to be easier than Jinjoo had orginally thought it would be. Once she had the intial steps down and then learned the different kinds of flow it was easy. The only problem was that it was a means of self expression, something that Jinjoo tried to avoid, although when it came to dissing others she was completely untouchable, but she worked through all of that making sure that she was confident in her new ability before she even thought about trying out for this so called Lemon Entertainment, after she did extensive research on the company itself, and then the current trainees, the group Aurora with new member Noel, who she had watched many videos of when learning to rap along with other famous rappers such as Cheetah and Yoon Mirae, the elusive  CEO, and the current managers and staff who were public before she had made her decision to audtion there. 

Her decision after graduating high school to become a trainee instead of going to college did not make either of her parents happy but they couldn't really argue with their youngest since her older sister had also done the same to pursue her modeling career and was now well known and famous, but they had made a condition that if she did not debut then she would go to college and study a major of their chosing so she would not become a disappointment to the name that they had so carefully built up over the years. Jinjoo left under the pretense that she was done trying to please theme and that she didn't give a damn what they thought of her decision but deep down she was still hurt about being told she wasn't pretty enough all her life and now needed this gratification, this title to prove that she was pretty and that she did deserve it and that anyone who told her otherwise was beneath her and may her wrath be the death of them.

TRIVIA :
▷ absolutely hates the angelfish, Inhyeong, and Noel for getting the visual title over her. Inhyeong since she suspects something off about the older girl despite the constant good comments from fans and people who've met her. the angelfish gets a special kind of hatred because she was the one who stole that title from her personally, and the CEO for not following the trend he's kept up with, making a conscious effort to try and find him though she can never get a hold of the man. she is desperate to find him to get an answer.
▷ she doesn't eat, and when asked to eat or to keep up the image she's painted for everyone she'll fake an illness, cramps, or eat the smallest amount and then proceed to make sure that she does an intense workout to get rid of whatever weight she gained from eating. it's an obssessive behavior that she tries to hide otherwise she knows it'll cause trouble but can't stop because then she won't be pretty anymore and it'll just prove that her mother was right all along that she really wasn't worth all of the effort and money that they put in and well Jinjoo cannot let that happen. 
▷ her confidence is true she does feel that she's better than just about everyone but she knows that if anyone found out what she was doing it would ruin it and that makes her paranoid and behave crueler than she normally would to keep others away from her.
▷ doesn't care about age or playing nice on camera. if she feels that you've done something to deserve her wrath, then you'll get it even if you're in charge of a huge company or a big name sunbae who she should probably show some respect to. She was never known for her good behavior so why start now? Being an idol changes nothing.
​▷ really likes to sit outside and listen to the rain fall. It's weirdly calming to her and it helps clear her mind so it's not a constant jumbled mess all the time. 
▷ can also play the piano and flute, though she's best at playing the violin.
▷ when asked if she feels bad about ruining people's lives she'll always answer no if they didn't deserve then they wouldn't have pissed her off in the first place. 
▷ can sense that Royal Court isn't exactly what everyone says but doesn't have the means to figure out what's going on though she really is working hard on trying to find dirt on everyone in that group, especially Inhyeong. she has a special resentment towards that girl because there's no way someone with fake looks could ever become a visual on fair terms and she's determined to bring her down to earth where she belongs.
▷ her complex comes from the constant comparison her mother had between her and her "perfect" sister, and being reminded time and time again that her looks were never good enough for her family to truly accept her. jinjoo is desperate to show her family that they were wrong and that she is prettier than they thought and is overall better than them, however being constantly shut down is putting a knife into her plans and her carefully crafted image and shell the cracks starting to show just the tiniest bit.
▷ her sister Inhwa is signed to the company Esteem Models in Seoul, which causes a lot of strife since Jinjoo is at a lesser known company and is constantly brought up when the family gets together

TRAINEE LIFE

 

YEARS OF TRAINING : 1 year Lemon Entertainment

TRAINEE EXPERIENCE : 

Jinjoo wouldn't say that she had a particularly hard time while she was a trainee since she had already graduated highschool at eighteen and then auditioned becoming a trainee almost immediately after so she didn't have anything that would distract her from her lessons. She wasn't that fond of vocal training since it wasn't one of her strengths and she didn't enjoy showing her weakness in front of the others but she made it out by glaring at those who had tried saying anything when her voice would crack or fade out every once in a while easily shutting them up only for them to continue when she sauntered out of the room. 

It was during this time that the Little Witch nickname came into play. It didn't help that she was born on Halloween, though it was definitely appropriate, she had quickly made a name for herself in the first couple of months as a trainee, talking back to the dance coach when she corrected her form and then proceeded to give a detailed explanation on the history of the dance move itself and show him exactly how it was supposed to be done. News of the new trainee correcting the coach spread like wildfire and then everyone had to see her and if the rumors were true only to be shot down with nasty words by the witch herself, though some did bypass the nickname and called her for what she was a . 

She wasn't popular by any means, not with the other trainees, nor the instructors, but they couldn't deny that the girl had the skills and talent to back up the attitude that came attached to it so it was hard for her to be punished when a lot of the time she was indeed correct, which only pissed off those around her even more. This alone pushed Jinjoo forward she lived for the glares of her competition, the envious stares, and above all else the hateful comments that were thrown in her face from someone who she managed to squash on her way to the top. Trainee life isn't about making friends it's about beating everyone else down until there's no one else to choose from but the best, and she was the best. 

SCHOOL LIFE : Jinjoo had already graduated high school before she started her life as a trainee because she would allow nothing else to distract either one of these goals of hers. 

CURRENT LIFESTYLE : Right now Jinjoo is living in a surprisingly modest one bedroom apartment near the company that she pays for with the allowance money that she had been saving up since she was a small girl. She's always on time for her lessons, and when she isn't training at the company or on her own she's doing various research on new dance trends, how to improve her rapping, and the best way to lose weight on her laptop. Even at home there is no wasted effort and she's doing what she can to achieve her current goal, though she's trying not to lose her mind at not being the visual though it was a complete loss and a nasty blow to her confidence and fragile state of mind, but by throwing herself into her work she's hoping that no one will find out the truth.

FAMILY :
▷ Mother — Baek Hayoung (49) | Makeup Artist | Harsh, Hard to Please, Independent, Intelligent | The woman who basically turned Jinjoo into a monster, and well she both hates and loves her mother for that fact. Now she doesn't have to worry about someone else hurting her, as long as she gets the upper hand and now has the means for it but she also has the biggest weakness that could be her own demise. She doesn't get along with her mother at all and whenever they're in the same room they usually end up fighting with one another. 
▷ Older Sister — Baek Inhwa (23) | Model | Bright, Outgoing, Passive, Forgetful | Thanks to the divide that her parents had created Jinjoo isn't close to her sister and actually resents her for being so freaking good at every little thing that she does. She ignores every time they're at home together and when Inhwa tries to talk to her little sister Jinjoo always makes up some reason to leave so she doesn't have to sit through all of that.

▷ Catfish —  If there was a girl who Jinjoo could almost tolerate it would be the catfish and that's only because she's constantly telling guys off even when they're right and it amuses her to no end, more so since that's probably not how a leader is supposed to act and the surprise on the faces of the managers when it's not her for once who's causing all the trouble. She still won't listen to the girl though since she feels she's an incompetent leader.
▷ Swordfish — She despises the swordfish and its most likely because their arrogance pisses the other one off to the point of causing an almost brawl because they just cannot stand to be in the same room and listen to the other talk without trying to tell the other that they're wrong and try to one up them and see them seathe with anger while the one who won enjoys the sweet taste of victory.
▷ Blobfish —  The blobfish's not so standard looks makes her less of a target on Jinjoo's list she's still there since she is still a girl and all girls are her competition if not in looks than in another thing and the fact that she's the lead dancer makes it even more important for Jinjoo to remind her that she's only the lead and could never ever push her way up to main while she's in the group. 
▷ Pufferfish — The pufferfish's quiet almost invisible personality makes Jinjoo nervous considering she's never sure if he's around or not and has to check for him, worried that he's going to be the one who figures out her secret, but she also thinks that he's hiding something as well and is determined to find out what it is before he can find out hers. 
▷ Clownfish —  The clownfish is proably the one of the two members who she's not too worried about and that's because she's set him straight on more than one occassion when he got a little too close to home with his teasing. She made sure that he would leave her alone as much as he possibly could. His looks and flirting does help boost her ego just a little since she does know he'll flirt with just about any pretty girl, and she IS a pretty girl.
▷ Angelfish — If it wasn't clear before it should be now she straight up hates the angelfish. Nothing anyone says about her will change Jinjoo's mind the girl stole her means of shoving her good looks in her mother's face and she will pay because of it. It's just a matter of figuring out just how she's going to do it there has to be something, no one is that perfect it's just a matter of finding it and well now she has all the time to do just that. 
▷ Goldfish —  He's the most "liked" by Jinjoo since he keeps his head down and away from the drama never asking questions or sticking his nose where it doesn't belong and well she likes that in a bandmate. She still keeps him at a distance just in case he suddenly changes his mind and does get nosy so she can get away as quick as possible while keeping damages at a minimum. He's not a friend but he's the closest thing that she has to one right now. 
▷ Jellyfish — If the Jellyfish is a girl than she will see her as competiton that will need to be brought down, especially if she's super pretty as well, if a guy and a nosy guy at that she'll stir clear of him while trying to find something to counter him with.
