WINGS

The album's out.

Well now I'm actually having an important government exam but I decided that I have to listen to the album first. So I searched it up on Youtube. I won't say anything about the album, and I won't post any links (even though I'm using one rn myself).

So there are 15 songs and I'm just going to say a few words on what I feel about each song. There may be a lot of spazzing. And I read the lyrics already (I won't quote any of them tho). Now enough of that I'm going to start.

Intro: Boy Meets Evil- I'm sure most of you heard this song already. And you guys already know Hoseok sounds amazing here.

Blood, Sweat & Tears- If you have checked the MV for it, then you know the song, minus the creepy piano sound and Seokjin kissing the statue. It's an instant love for me and I can't imagine the full choreography at all. Conclusion: I'm SO IN LOVE with this song. And that part that sounds like 'money money' is a little bit weird for me. I know it's actually in Korean but yeah. There's one problem tho. SEOKJIN HAS THE TINIEST PART AGAIN I CAN'T EVEN FIND HIS VOICE IN THE SONG. I'm crying why I thought it suits Seokjin's voice a lot

Begin- Jungkook's solo. He sounds lovely as always and the lyrics are about how with his "bros" (I'm going to assume it's s) he's able to begin (soaring for his dreams? I forgot the lyrics I should open up a new tab for lyrics lol)

Lie- Jimin's solo. Sounds a little bit different from the teaser but still lovely. Autotune on point and not too much (Useless fact: I don't like Lotto by EXO because it's too much autotune). Jiminie sounds amazing as usual.

Stigma- OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG. Goosebumps right from the beginning. Taehyung's voice is so freaking soulful and I love LOVE this song oh gosh he's not even high up there on my bias list but HERE I AM SPAZZING OVER HIM. (I told you there will be spazzing lol) And the high note the HIGH NOTE HE SLAYED IT OMG

First Love- Yoongi's solo. Before the audio reached this song I've seen people in comments saying that this reminds them of The Last. But for me, it kind of reminds me of Nevermind. And then I looked into the lyrics and gosh I was crying so hard. The lyrics are about his relationship with his piano, and how the piano is always there for him whoever he has become. I started learning piano when I was young too, so I have the exact feeling as Yoongi towards his piano. He sounds like he put all his soul into the song and I LOVE IT.

Reflection- NAMJOON IS SINGING. And he's talking about how lonely and lost he feels in the middle of the night at the place called "Ddoksum". Where tho? I don't know Korean so yeah I don't know. And I was wrong. The lyrics are indeed "I wish I could love myself" even if it really doesn't sound like it in my opinion.

Mama- HOSEOK MY BABY I DIDN'T KNOW OH GOSH-- okay I'll stop. He's literally rapping about how his mother worked hard for him to chase after his dreams. There's a thing I have to say about the song. In the teaser a woman voice said "Hey mama" right? In this song though, he sang it himself and it didn't sound like him but I LOVE IT.

Awake- My favourite song out of all the teaser songs, and my favourite after First Love among the solo tracks. YES SEOKJIN MY AMAZING BOIIII I FREAKING LOVE YOU OMG. It doesn't sound far away from the teaser and he sounds so ANGELIC I'M SCREAMING. Okay please understand because I'm Seokjin biased lol

Lost- I DIDN'T KNOW THIS IS AN ALL VOCAL SONG SO I SPAZZED A BIT WHEN I READ THE COLOUR-CODED LYRICS. It's a nice song but I have only gave it one listen so it didn't leave as much impression on me.

Cypher Pt. 4- There's one thing: this cypher is actuallty safe for children! No b-word, no f-word (I was surprised! It's a Cypher after all), and the only vulgar word according the lyrics I read is in Korean. And it's not even that vulgar! But still, same as all cyphers, IT IS LIT LIT LIT LIT LIT OMG. I can imagine all the members scream at the top of their lungs in a live performance. And Yoongi sounds amazing here, actually all of the rap line sounds amazing here.

Am I Wrong- Sounds American (sorry, Idek if this is a compliment or not). Anyways it sounds American but there are still Bangtan's feeling in it. It's catchy and some people said it sounds like the second generation of Dope. Well, they are right! I need time to build a relationship with this song tho

20th Century Girls- Literally the second generation of Miss Right, just praising girls and saying how they are beautiful. Catchy, but again, I haven't listen to it for the second time yet so I can't remember anything in it. Oh wait. Yoongi sounds very crazy in this song. Reminds me of Baepsae a bit lol

Two! Three! (Still Hoping There Will Be Better Days)- A lively version of Born Singer or Young Forever. Get it? Go look up the lyrics then. It is basically saying that they should leave all sad memories behind and move on together. It reminds me of Day6's Free (because it's in the same key) and I love it. Oh and there's a small chorus where they sing together. That makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time

Interlude: Wings- Reminds me of the previous song (again, it's probably because they are in the same key). Very positive song and everyone sounds amazing.

Conclusion: A very nice album and I can see my boys are trying out with new genres and they have succeed. Most of the songs aren't love songs too, they are sticking to their original concept of saying the truth. I love this album and I'm looking forward to the choreography and live performances

And that's the end of my review (does that even count lol). Anyway, if you are tempted to listen to the songs by ypurself, kindly search then up on Youtube (best wuth colour coded lyrics, I recommend Lynn Eksonyeondan's channel) or buy the music on Itunes (I don't know, I use an android lol) or if you're rich you can buy the album. They always slay so much I love stanning talent lol

Anyways I have to continue studying. GOSH I ALMOST FORGOT I AM HAVING AN EXAM ATM LOL.
