Also, depending if she knows you well or not, she will either tell you straight out about her opinion or she would simply keep it to herself. Though, if your sense of fashion is really bad, she might fail at hiding her cringe. Eunji and Eunmi usually calls her this.

 

Kiddo: Almost  all the other trainees in BigHit calls her this (sometimes even trainers). Because of her petite figure and baby face, most people tend to look at her like she's a kid, sometimes going as far to treat her as one. She honestly dislikes the fact that she's seen younger than she really is. One of the reason she cut her hair short was because she believed it made her look older, which is true, but sadly the nickname stays.

 

Soju Queen: Once she was of age, she had her first drink and fell in love with the taste of it. She isn't exactly addicted to it but once she starts drinking, you won't be seeing her stop anytime too soon. Fortunately, she has high alchohol tolerance so even if she has a couple of drinks, she wouldn't act stupid and ruin her image.

She's rather good at pronouncing the letters, it's just that she would make random grammar errors and confuse some similar words with each other. Yeorang stands 157 cm tall and secretly wishes she could grow 3cm taller so that the number would've sounded nicer. She weighs 42 kg and although a bit underweight, she actually likes her weight, preferring to  not gain or lose anymore weight.

Yeorang carries herself confidently and although small in size, she gives an aura of a person to be respected. She has this as a permenant tattoo on her left wrist. Yeorang also appreciates nail art and tends to paint her nail whenever she could.

Yeorang's sense of fashion is unexpected. Despite being baby faced, she leans to the swag and cool side of fashion (01 02 03), sunglasses being her bae. She absolutely loves denim and leather as it boosts her confidence level to the max, also liking how the fabric feels against her skin (01 02 03). Hip-hop street fashion intrigues her as well, loving how urban and free the style is (01 02 03). Other than that, she also has quite a liking towards vintage fashion (01 02 03), though that being quite different than her usual look. Yeorang actually cares a lot about the way she looks and takes pleasure in matching outfits, going creative with the way she dresses at times. She has an eye for fashion and would unintentionally cringe when someone's clothing isn't exactly a good match.

trainee life » 

Her trainee life was actually quite difficult - just like how others' were as well. It was quite hard to balance out school work and training life, as when she got accepted into BigHit, she was still a high school student. She felt stressed by the fact that there was so many things to do and so less time to achieve. She was one of the few extremely slow trainees since she didn't exactly have much music knowledge before. It also didn't help that she would usually be the reason why the trainees who trained alongside her had to repeat stuffs they already know. She was pretty good looking and had a talent of rapping and writing lyrics, but if you didn't know that, you would've been wondering how did she even get in the company with her vocals. As for dance, she has the flexibility and the stamina for it but had quite a hard time memorizing moves, thus, making her fall back at times.

 

She struggled a lot and cried a lot during her trainee years. School became overwhelming for her and so she dropped out and became a full time trainee, thinking that she could finally have more time to train and improve herself. Her dance got so much better because there was more time to practice moves. She however, still struggled in stabilizing her voice and trying her best not to go off-key. When she was stressed out or anything, she would spend her time in the underground scene battling it out whether it'd be dancing or rapping because she had found more interest in those rather than singing. Not to mention, she also wrote a few song lyrics to relieve her stress, making raps out of most of them. One thing about Yeorang though, is that, she never had the thought of giving up. Although she had a hard time, she knew what her dream was and planned to achieve it until the very end, no matter how bumpy her journey would get. 

 

During the 4th year of training, she was finally acknowledged by the trainers and the other trainees because they could see actually how her efforts paid off. Her vocals was much better than before, though it isn't exactly the best one to hear, she at least could catch notes and  not make silly mistakes like before. Having conquered the battle of being deaf to notes previously, she could relax more than before and this gives her time to actually get to know the other trainees. People surprisingly found Yeorang easy to talk to, some admitting that they were embarrassed to ignore her previously. When she was offered the chance to debut in the survival show Atalana, she cried (sobbed even) out of joy, letting her feelings out for once.

ELABORATION »  

(+) Yeorang is a very passionate person. Regardless of what it is, just as long as it is something she holds precious in her heart, she would go through great lengths for it. Her burning passion of being a performer makes her work hard and thus, produce good results. Her passionate soul is able to inspire others and this is one of her few charms that pull people towards her. Not to mention, she will fight for the things she really loves, making her one of the most loyal person you will meet.

 

(+) Yeorang is also very curious about things around her, always being observant and noticing the little things. Her curious nature makes her non-judgemental and lets her see beneath the surface of almost everything. The only thing she'll judge is probably your clothes, but even if you have a bad sense of fashion, she wouldn't let it affect her view on you.

 

(+) Yeorang is rather quick-witted, thinking of puns or jokes at random moments. Not to mention, this trait of hers makes it easy for her to get through sudden troublesome situations, enabling her to come out with solutions in a short time. She is constantly  filled with ideas and although doesn't express it any other way but writing, she is very original and creative.

 

(=) Yeorang is an ambivert, a mix of an introvert and an extrovert. At times, she finds pleasure in spending quality time alone, but then again, she still wishes people would be nearby just in case she has a sudden urge to approach them and feels energized by socializing. One of the key reasons she is like this is because her childhood is spent alone, sometimes peacefully, and yet sometimes longing for company. However, deep down she leans more to the extroverted side, it's just that she's kind of scared of being too overbearing to some people so usually distance herself away from them and slowly unravels herself, making sure to proceed with caution, just in case someone doesn't exactly feel comfortable with her.

 

(--) She has quite a serious perfectionist complex and this honestly causes more harm than good. Although achieving something great is a good thing to want, Yeorang takes it to another level where she doesn't know her own limits. When Yeorang is unable to achieve a goal, she doesn't just let it go but lets it haunt her because she strongly believes anything can be accomplished just as long you really do your best. So, when she fails at something, she sees it as a proof that she didn't do well enough an would beat herself up for it. Not to mention, being a perfectionist means that she would stick to situations that she should have long left just because she doesn't want to admit that she has made a mistake.

 

(--) She also has quite an ego, making her rather prideful. She might not show it out but she gets really pissed off if you hurt her womanly pride and the anger might cause her to snap and appear much agressive than usual. She doesn't always ask for help from others, wanting to solve her own things by herself. This pride also stems from the fact that she's insecure about many things in her life, wanting to hide all the flaws she have. She strives to be accepted by others and when isn't shown positive reaction, she might feel quite out of place, reminding her of her childhood days where the other kids exclude her in everything they do.

 

(--) Yeorang is rather repressive of her negative emotions. When she is stressed out or angry, she wouldn't want to show it out. One of the reasons she doesn't to show any negativity is because she sincerely believes that there is no need to other people with such negativity. Another is because she is so used to not being able to complain or rant about anything to other people straight on. The only hint you'll get about how tormented her soul is would come from the lyrics she write and raps. Her specialty in rapping is conveying out intense emotions that will really get you to the feels. Truly, Yeorang has trust issues with people and although Eunji and Eunmi are the closest people to her, they don't always get to see her vulnerable or angry side. In fact, she bottles it up to an unhealthy level and believe me, you wouldn't want to be near her when she's so close to have one of her random outburst (only to apologize later on and dismiss her outburst as a silly mistake she has made).

Yeorang was born on January 8th 1994 to a pair of workaholic parent. She grew up  spending most of her childhood without her parents care.  At the age of 5, she took up gymnastics and enjoyed herself learning it as she was able to interact with others when classes are held. At the age of 11, her tendencies to be clingy and attention-seeking were starting to annoy the kids in school, so she was avoided like a plague. During that same year, she took an interest in writing and if you were allowed to read what she had wrote, you'd be pretty sad to see that the child's writing expressed loneliness in her life.

 

Later in highschool, Yeorang fortunately made friends who understood her and things were finally looking well in life from then on. Although not as lonely as before, she still likes to scribble down random thoughts she wanted to express on paper. After being told she could write good lyrics, she took an interest in rap and tried to turn words she wrote into raps. By then, she realized she found something she was truly passionate about and had fun doing. Originally she tried turning the words she wrote into songs, but found that raps are the best way to express the intensity of emotions she felt in her words. She sincerely believed it with her whole heart that she could really do great things if she goes by this route.

 

To understand the idea of rap even better, she personally went to search videos on K-pop idols and although at first only planning to look up on rappers, she was mind-blown by how cool girl groups and boy groups were. In fact, the idea of simply being on stage is like a dream come true to her. One thing she wishes to do more than anything is to perform her own lyrics. Her parents objected the idea at first, not liking how unrealistic it sounded and ignored her trying to explain. However when that causes Yeorang to run away from home and staying over temporarily with her best friends (who welcomed her), Yeorang's parents realized how she was actually serious about her dreams and decided to just let her do what she wants. They truly came to see her passion in rap when they caught her rapping in the bathroom once, noting that the lyrics were a rant about themselves ot even putting effort to care about her.

 

She first tried to audition herself in SM, believing that her dancing and singing were pretty decent while rapping was what she could count on. Sadly, the competition was tight and she did not get accepted. She auditioned 3 times for SM in total and sometimes, she was accepted for the first two rounds but only to fail again during the last round of the audition. Later on, she decided to try her luck on other companies and was pretty surprised when BigHit accepted her after three rounds of her first audition in their company and became a trainee ever since.

Close Friend : Lee Eunji : 22 : University Student (Art Major)

They met in the gymnastics class they had together, by then they weren't as close as they are now. Previously, the twins only had each other and did not bother to seek anyone out while Yeorang mixed with another group of people. They began speaking when they went to the same highschool, ocassionally walking to dance class together after school. Eunji wasn't exactly fond of Yeorang at first, believeing that the girl stole her older twin sister's attention away. Later on, both got along pretty well because apparently in the Lee household, only Eunji had interest in arts instead of whatever was 'professional' in their parents eye and they both had problematic parents to rant about. Eunji doesn't admit it but the fact that Yeorang kept auditioning inspired her to pursue her own dreams as an illustrator.

 

        

Close Friend : Lee Eunmi : 22 : University Student ( Psychology Major)

Eunmi has always been the quiet sister, liking to observe instead of participate. The fact that they were in gymnastics class was because Eunji wanted to spend as much time out of home as she could, so Eunmi decided to sign them up for a weekly dance class. Eunmi is the older sister, so she has a tendency to care about Eunji more than herself. Eunmi was very obedient to their parents, only ocassionally rebelling against them if Eunji is involved. Eunmi sees simalarities in both Eunji and Yeorang so decided to approach her one day since they went to the same highschool anyway. Both got along well and Eunmi really appreciates how Yeorang acknowledged her as a hard-wroking person when other people tend to take her for granted.

I don't know whether I could get into top 7, but I want to, I really do."

"Well, I see Atalana Girls No.7 , No.14 and No. 17 as my main competitors because they are all main rappers - like me. However, if you want me to be specific..." *shrugs* "...It would be Atalana Girl No. 7 because she's a lead dancer and dances better than I do most of the time."

(+) Chanyeol is usually very energetic and outgoing around other people. He is a humorous guy himself so he laughs a lot and that kind of energy transfers to others. His energy is both something you could see offstage and onstage, it's one of the reason why people find him endearing. Not to mention, he is the biggest fanservice king of EXO, and probably one of the most intelligent in terms of how to boost his popularity. This is another useful attribute that makes him the perfect idol, he knows what the fans want, and he knows how to give it to them.  He just uses things to his benefit to the fullest, takes advantage of the situation, causing fans to call him fake. Faking being happy doesn’t make someone fake though, it just makes them human, everyone does it from time to time. So, him faking being happy is just to keep up his happy virus label, which, he used it to his advantage and pushed it fully. In the idol world, fanservice isn’t bad, it’s to make the fans happy  and to keep the public interested. Other than that, he is also very spontaneous and witty, able to come up with random jokes and topics at random times, having so many creativity and originality in him. So, a conversation with Park Chanyeol will never ever be a dull one.

 

(--) Chanyeol could get really insensitive at times, although not meaning to do so. He is often said to be too blunt for his own good. The fact that he is oblivious about emotions only makes the situation worst by continue rubbing salt into an already opened wound. This guy could also be very conceited and vain. Chanyeol knows that he is very well-liked and takes pleasure in flaunting it. He often gets carried away in proving that he is worth of everyone's attention, coming off as childish and narcissistic. At times this goes all too wrong when he gets a bit arrogant about himself, thinking that he is so much better than anyone else. This all stems from the fact that he is a perfectionist. Chanyeol is someone who always strives to do his best in order to be his best. His perfectionist complex comes from the want to be accepted by other people and being seen as someone worth of other's attention.

They both actually went to the same high school together. She never admitted it but Chanyeol was one of the few reasons she even considered performing on stage. He was a senior and they interacted only once and that one time was all it took for her to have a full blown crush on him. That day, she stayed back late in school because she didn't felt like going home too soon. By that time, most students had already gone back so she took out her notebook and started writing. When she finally felt a presence, it was too late to hide what she wrote as Park Chanyeol had seen it all and he complimented her, thinking they were lyrics. Before she could explain anything, he started trying to rap what she wrote and though he failed at certain parts, she thought it was beautiful and admired him since then.

 

(If she debuted) Later on, after their debut stage, she ran into Chanyeol backstage when she was seperated with the girls. Her breath hitched and she got so nervous she kept bowing 90 degrees, greeting him. Chanyeol also bowed back since that's manners and they went back and forth like that until Chanyeol was the first to laugh out loud at the situation. She thought he was going to leave until he suddenly recognized her as someone from his school. She admitted she was a student from his highschool, not mentioning the fact that they've spoken once before. They chatted for quite a while and exchanged numbers in the end, Chanyeol being the one to suggest it while Yeorang being the one trying her hardest not to squeal in joy.

Sadly, no messages were exchanged between them at first. Later though, right after Yeorang mentioned in an interview that an idol who would be closest to her ideal type is Chanyeol, she received a text from him actually thanking her. Although Yeorang honestly admires Chanyeol, she can't help but feel suspicous while happy at the same time, thinking that her situation is somehow too good to be true. In the end, she procrastinated her reply for about a week. Funny later how Chanyeol actually called her and they had a rather fun conversation. Since then, they actually contact each other often either by sending text messages, random picture or even voice records.

 

Although Yeorang originally saw Chanyeol as a superior and someone she idolizes, now she actually sees him as a friend who she still admires deeply. They clicked really well and if you actually tune in to their conversation, you'd be surprise to actually hear them going on and on about crazy ideas. It's really a rollercoaster of adventure, warmth, playfulness and laughter between the both of them. Sadly, their differences are just as much as their similarities. Chanyeol has actually offended Yeorang a couple of times with insensitive comments and whenever she is hurt, she rarely expresseed it, making things even more complicated. Yeorang finds it frusrating how insensitive Chanyeol could be at times while he is equally frusrated when she gets too emotional for his liking. However, both of them never fail to reconcile back in the end as they actually came to really cherish the other. Yeorang learned to be more calm and honest when it comes to explaining her feelings to Chanyeol while he tries his best to give her assurance that he did not mean to offend her.

 

RELATIONSHIP »

The both of them are currently in confused about their feelings, though Chanyeol seems more open to the idea of them being together. Yeorang on the other hand, simply likes whatever relationship they are currently having now. If anyone questions their relationship, both would just say they're close friends, but Yeorang will still admit that he is her ideal type. Chanyeol openly flirts with her though, and Yeorang would either play along or just brush it off.
