° [ El Flying Idiot ] People call him Flying Charisma for a good reason. He is flying through the air like a flying squirrel and he has an inherent open-minded personality that is attracting to most of the people. There is a good reason for him being called El Flying Idiot by his bandmates as much. He's just bluntly stupid. Or maybe not stupid. But an idiot. At least.

APPEARANCE Kangjoon is the bulky kind of guy. Not in the fat way of course. But next to the slender members of the group he looks like a mountain, similar to Toby. Anyway, as a Bboy his body consists of muscles. He has no tattoos and no piercings, staying as god has created him. He's also strictly against plastic surgery, so his face might not be the most handsome one in South Korea, yet it carries his pride of being all natural.  

STYLE Tank tops and tracksuits are his life. Yes, at first he seem as if he has no style at all but in fact Kangjoon would look all handsome even in a girl's dress. Truth be told, he doesn't own a lot of clothes and he also only owns two pairs of shoes. Combats and black Converse. He doesn't need to care about clothes and style since some of the Black Dragon members take good care of not letting any member leave the house looking like a hobo. What they can't force onto him is make-up. He's okay with it on stage. But just to leave the house? Hell no.

PERSONALITY

I'M THAT KIND OF GUY EVERYBODY LOVES. Kangjoon is best known for his chilled and easy-going personality. He loves fun things and laughs a lot, always being up to crack one or two jokes. They sometimes end up being more than just simply insensitive but he's too naive to even notice when he says something hurtful, thinking that it's funny and that everybody would find it funny as much. He is up for anything, never being able to say No to whatever sounds entertaining to him. That's where his jokster personality originates from. His creativity blooms especially when it comes to pranks. He loves pranking others but hates it to be made fun of himself. Since he would say yes to even wear girls' dresses and dance in front of a bunch of people as long as he's not alone, nobody can take him serious for too long. That's when he gets really, really sore. Kangjoon is also one of the most protective members when it comes to his boys or their reputation. It goes as far as that when another person would call them names or just act rude in front of them, he would not think about what he's doing and just yell at them, even getting physical if the other party is acting like a -head. He's very smart in finding the weak points of others in that case and isn't scared of attacking them openly (for example, if he ever gets into a fight with NCT Taeyong, he would remind him of his past scandals etc.)

I'M THAT KIND OF GUY EVERYBODY HATES. Even though Kangjoon is a pretty cool and easy to get along with person, he also has his terribly bad traits. For example his more than short temper. He gets mad extremely quickly and loses control over himself, too. That's when he doesn't think straight anymore and just acts out as he thinks it's right. He also is hella insensitive, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. Anyway, his words most of the time are hurtful to at least one person. On top of that he's noisy and loud. He speaks loudly, he laughs loudly and damn, he yells like crazy. And he's messy. Probably the most messy person among the members.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BACKGROUND

MEANT TO BE AN ARTIST. From an early age Kangjoon knew he wasn't meant to end up as someone working in a company or do researches on whatever. He wanted to do what he loved. Dancing. His older brother Kangtae used to be a fan of Korean Hip Hop and when he noticed his brothers passion, started supporting him and opened the gates to the world of K Hip-Hop to him. Kangjoon then found himself enjoying Bboying even more than dancing itself and combined it to find his very own, unique style of expressing his feelings. When he turned 20 he auditioned for AOMG, hoping that they would find a way for him to do what he loved as a job.

NOT MEANT TO BE AN IDOL. AOMG quickly noticed that Kangjoon had absolutely no talent in rapping. They would try teaching him how to rap the whole time but he always ended up singing rather than rapping. After a while they gave up on him and when his contract with them expired, they send him off even though some of the AOMG members became close friends with Kangjoon. They just knew that he had to find his own way somewhere else. Being dismissed from the place he loved the most broke his heart and Kangjoon could only gain back his strength and belief thanks to his brother who managed to get him into YG. YG also couldn't see any particular talent for either singing nor rapping in Kangjoon and rather let him teach Bboying to the other trainees than training him properly. That's how he grew more and more depressed and eventually ended up at BigHit.

° [ Koo Kangtae ] Brother/ 28/ Manager at YG/ Kangtae has always been Kangjoon's rolemodel and best friend. They were inseparable and when Kangjoon had troubles within AOMG, Kangtae helped him to get into YG. Kangtae knows about Kangjoon's idiocy but he claims that it's what makes Kangjoon's charm differ from others'.

° [ iKon] Friends/ Rivals / Idols/ He trained with them, he lived with them. But he wasn't even given the chance to appear on either WIN nor Mix & Match. Kangjoon knows and likes the boys but he also knows about their bad traits and what it's like to be a part of YG.
 

° [ AOMG] Friends and Rolemodels / Rappers/ More or less his mentors and the ones to teach him what he knows now. He's especially close to Simon D, Loco and Jay Park. Anyway, he's also more than afraid to perform in front of them since they know how he started and he feels like he would disappoint them with what he achieved until now.
 

° [ Jackson Wang] Best Bro / Idol/ They get to know each other after Black Dragon debuts and Jackson and Kangjoon immediately become friends after meeting just once. They clicked, that's how you could call it. They often appear in variety shows together because both of them are equally idiots in front of the cameras and not taken serious even if they try hard. 

 

° [ Tobias Liebenthal] Means to an end / Bandmate/ Toby approaches Kangjoon first because he knows that Kangjoon is the only member who is able to BBoy AND can actually teach it to him. To extend his own skills he acts friendly with Kangjoon and tricks him to get what he wants: His Bboying skills. In the end Kangjoon is just being fooled but once he finds out about Toby never having been a real friend, he will feel extremely betrayed and start hating him.

PERSONA [ Social Butterfly ]  Everyone knows him as that person who befriends each and every idol - when it comes to males. Whereas instagram, twitter or whatever else is existing posts, he's always mentioned or shown on photos with other idols.

TRAINEE YEARS & EXPERIENCE [  AOMG 2011- 2013, YG 2013-2016, BigHit entered just recently ] 

 Trainee life was both heaven and hell to him. The friends he made during his trainee time are the best he ever experienced but the way he was treated by not only AOMG but also YG was making it hard to stay strong for him and believe in himself. Despite being an outgoing and positive person, he started falling into depression. Thanks to BigHit he however was able to regain his self-confidence. They allowed him to perform on stage once before debuting under Black Dragon and he immediately felt that his place was right there on that giant stage in front of people who were appreciating what he was doing.

Whereas being such a tough woman, she gets flustered easily if you push the right buttons and now how to get her. Sad thing is that Kangjoon neither knows where these buttons are nor how to push them or that they even exist.

RELATIONSHIP One-sided Crush

FIRST MEETING They first meet during a music show and Kangjoon immediately falls for Lisa. He tries talking to her saying something like "Hey, do you have something Korean inside of you?" - "No." - "Do you want something Korean inside of you?". Lisa will be turned off immediately and turn him down each and every time they meet and he tries again to talk to her.

INTERACTIONS Lisa keeps on disliking Kangjoon until she ends up seeing one of the other Black Dragon members (probably Toby because of his idol Olymp thingy) and ends up broken-hearted. Kangjoon will be there to help her get over it and they eventually end up together (after he kicks Toby's first, though).

COMMENTS/QUESTIONS  I hope this app is okay and the relationship between Toby and Kangjoon makes some sense. I thought since Toby is lacking the BBoy skills, he might probably try to learn it so he still keeps being the most skilled member.
