RESPECT
I find it so weird when people believe having a large amount of sales equals to surpassing Super Junior in the music industry. Yes, at one point in time Super Junior ruled the album sales category, and before them, someone else did. It’s a natural cycle. However, what separates Super Junior from the other groups is not their “large amount of sales” or even their subsequent daesangs. It’s their absolute impact on the industry and otherwise, and their ability to represent Korea and K-pop worldwide.
They have not only become ambassadors for Korean Tourism, but also Taiwan’s Tourism. And, also have been invited by Hong Kong’s tourism board to host a travel show to promote Hong Kong. And, recently became Travel Ambassadors for Switzerland. They have been named National Pop culture Icons and received Minister of Culture award by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for spreading the Hallyu Wave in other countries and raising awareness ofSouth Korea to foreigners. They have also been ambassadors for Korean food, to promote Korean cuisine worldwide. The Seoul Summer sale that happens every year in Seoul to attract international tourists? Super junior has endorsed it in 2011, 2012, 2015,2016
When a group has been interviewed by CNN on their impact overseas and spreading Hallyu, when CNN has personally did a segment on their 5th year anniversary, when BBC has named them as the ones who have “launched K-pop”, when a group has been invited by Oxford University to talk about the group’s national and international success, when they have attended the National Assembly as guest speakers and lectured Korean Congressmen on “K-Pop’s Influence on the World.” ….only then, THEN you can say a certain group has surpassed Super Junior’s utter encompassing influence in the Hallyu market worldwide… …until then, Respect.

UNTIL THEN RESPECT INSTEAD OF CRITIZING THEM ! I was little pissed off since someone was talking about Super Junior and coincidently I found this. SO, boo you!
