She wrote on her Instagram, "Hello, this is Tiffany. I apologize for causing concern to many people due to my mistake on such a cherished, meaningful day. I'm embarrassed at myself for disappointing people through this mistake, and I'm reflecting on my action. From now on, I'll make sure to remember that a lot of people are watching my actions and seeing my words, so I'll work hard to become a person who thinks deeply so something like this does not happen again. Once again, I'm sorry for disappointing people because I was lacking."

I'm neither defending nor going against Tiffany, but international fans need to realize that yes, its just an emoji, but it brings bad memories, especially on a day such as Korea's Independence Day, where Korea went through a dark, awlful period. If you go back and read what happened, that not only did she use the emoji, but the Japan filter on snapchat, which the company NEVER should have made in the first place, it had the raising sun. If you search the Japanese rising sun, you would understand why many netizens are irate. Colonization is something that shouldn't be taken lightly...take it from a Native American.

Wtf. Everyone can use emojis the way they want to. It was just a simple accident. Tiffany wouldn't be making it a big deal if we were the ones that made the mistake she did.
