As for me, the hardest part in writing a story is the beginning. Because every time I come up with a plot or main idea, I will first imagine what happens in the middle of the story, the conflicts, , all that. And the ending normally is already there, just the way I want it to be. But the beginning... I often have trouble in deciding what kind of opening do I want for the story. Like what is it that will intrigue the readers to stay and read the story until its very end. Because first impression is important to lure the readers to read our story and arouse their curiosity on what is going to happen next. Therefore, I think the beginning is the hardest part when it comes to writing stories.

p/s: why do I feel like I'm writing an answer for my test? Lol forgive me x)

The beginning, without doubt. It has to be alluring enough to keep the readers interested and plant the seed of curiosity, complex enough to give enough information to set the story into motion but not detailed to the point all is already revealed and short enough not to drag on for forever. The ending is hard as well as it must be a final conclusion if the story will never see the light of a sequel and satisfy both the readers and the author.

Honestly, both. In the beginning, you had to make sure it is alluring enough in order to lure readers to read your story. When it comes to an end, you also have to make sure it hits the readers; makes them love it as much as you do. Like make them wanting more; so they'll ask for a sequel or willing to read more of your works.

Trust me, I had a difficult time writing the beginning of my story. T^T
