there are not much difference between wenrei and her face claim. she has two piercings on her right ear and a piercing on a left ear. she has bangs and long dark brown wavy hair.

wenrei is a person who doesn't really know fashion that much. she'll just wear anything that the coordinators give her. for casual wear, wenrei loves to wear a tshirt and long jeans and sneakers. that goes for practice wear too.

wenrei trusts her rationalism above all else, so when she comes to a conclusion, she has no reasons to doubt her findings. this creates an honest, direct style of communication that isn't held back by perceived social roles or expectations. when she is right, she's right, and no amount of politicking or hand-holding is going to change that fact - whether it's correcting a person, a process, or herself, she will have it no other way. this creative, logic and confidence come together to form wenrei who stands on her own and takes responsibility for her own actions. authority figures do not impress her, nor do social conventions or tradition, and no matter how popular something is, if she has a better idea, she will stand against anyone she has to in a bid to have it changed. either an idea is the most rational or it's wrong, and she will apply this to her arguements as well as her own behaviour, staying calm and detached from these sometimes emotionally charged conflicts. she will only be swayed by those who follow suit.

if someone piques her interest, wenrei can be astonishingly dedicated to her work, putting in long hours and intense effort to see an idea through. she is incredibly efficient, and if tasks meet the criteria of furthering a goal, she will find a way to consolidate and accomplish those tasks. all this rationalism leads to a very intelectually receptive personality type, as wenrei stays open to new ideas, supported by logic, even if (and sometimes) they prove her previous conception wrong. when presented with unfamiliar territory, such as alternative lifestyles, she tends to apply her receptiveness and independence, and aversion to rules and traditions, to these new ideas as well, resulting in fairly iiberal social senses.

blindly follwing precedents and rules without understanding them is distasteful to wenrei, and she disdains even more authority figures who blindly uphold laws and rules without understanding their intent. anyone who prefers the status quo for its own sake, or who values stability and safety over self-determination, is like to crash with her. whether it's the law of the land or simple social convention, this aversion applies equally, often making life more difficult than it needs to be. this antipathy to rule and tendency to over-analyze and be judgmental, even arrogant, all adds up to a personality type that is often clueless in dating, like wenrei. having a new relationship last long enough for her to apply the full force of her analysis on her potential partner's thought processes and behaviours can be challenging. trying harder in the ways that she knows best can only make things worse, and it's unfortunately common for her to simply give up the search. inronically, this is when she is at best, and most likely to attract a partner.

zhang wenrei was born in 5 may 1997 at hong kong. she is the only daughter of daniel and jane zhang. she was born with a silver spoon in . her parents are rich as they are coo and cfo for a famous hotel worldwide. when she was small, she get a lot of love from her parents and friends of her parents, because she's cute and is a good girl. her parents taught her well as they didn't spoil her like other rich parents do to their children. they raised her up with care and love, not with money. therefore, wenrei is not arrogant and boastful like other rich spoiled kids. in fact, her behaviours and personalities are like normal children.

in school, she is a genius, like rap monster. wenrei has an iq of 150 and her best subjects are the sciences, physics, chemistry and biology. although her mathematics is not as good as the other, it is still a high marks. she is not that active in co-curriculum activities because she's not interested in that. at the age of 13, she has the worst year of her life. one day in school, wenrei had the worst abdominal pain ever. her parents took her to the hospital and found out that she has pelvic inflammatory disease. the disease really hit her hard, she felt pain occasionally. but luckily she was cured but she still feel pain occasionally along the year. she fully recovered the next year after she received enough rest.

wenrei has interest in kpop when she attended big bang concert as she has free ticket. she was in awe of their strong and fire performance on stage. since then, she often search online about kpop and big bang. she has a talent in singing as she joined the choir club in school, the only club she joined in years. in 2014, she noticed an audition in yg entertainment, she auditioned through a video and sent it to the company. a few weeks later, she is invited to go to korea and have a full interview. she told her parents about it and they accompanied her to korea for auditioned. after a few rounds, she got accepted into yg entertainment in 2014.

- drama queen ; this drama queen means that wenrei loves to watch drama, thus the drama queen. she watched many dramas, korean, chinese, japanese, american, you name it, she watched it. her favourite drama would be sherlock and cheese in the trap.
- beats by dr dre ; as a dj, headphones are wenrei's life. she is a big fan of beats by dr dre. she has a headphone, earphone and speaker. those are her babies, she won't let the members touch it unless it's really necessary.
- movies buff ; since she's a drama queen, she is also a movies buff. like drama, she also watched many movies. her favourite movies would be lord of the rings and harry potter.
- huge potterfan ; yes, wenrei is a huge harry potter fan. she has the full collection of the seven books, both english and chinese. she watched all the movies and has the full dvd collection. besides, after the wizarding world of harry potter, universal studios has opened. wenrei saved some money and went to there to look at the wizarding world.
- coffee hater ; wenrei will never take a sip of coffee, any type of coffee, even if she desperately need it. she hates the bitterness of coffee, even if the coffee has added sugar and creamer, she will not drink it.
- bad sportsman ; she is the worst sportsman you can ever find. it seems like her body cannot move. that is why she don't play any sports and never participate idol sport championship (if the group is going).
- "dancing machine" ; wenrei is known as the "dancing machine". which means that her dancing skills is the last among the group. maybe because her body is too stiff. therefore, wenrei always say that she is good in singing but is very very bad in dancing. this shows that she hates dancing classes, but she has to because she is an idol after all.
- fear ; wenrei's ultimate fear would be... water. when the members are going to the beach to play or the hotel's swimming pool, she will sit by the chair, looking at them having their fun time. she doesn't know how to swin, which makes her has the thought that if she goes down to the water, she will drown and die. therefore, the members will not prank her and throw her in a pool of water. they know that she will freak out.
- hot hater ; wenrei hates summer the most. although it's everyone's favourite, she complains that it's hot. during summer, she will tie up her long hair and wear short pants as she hates it when she sweats.
- the renowned dj rei ; besides being a kpop idol, wenrei is also a dj. during free time, she will remix some songs as a hobby.
- another singer-songwriter and music producer ; wenrei's idols are seventeen as they are the self-produced idol where they produce their own song and choreograph their own dance. if the company approves, wenrei would really want to produce and songwriting a song for her group.
- ideal type ; wenrei's ideal type is someone who is tall and handsome. she said that her boyfriend need to be at least 185cm. therefore, the members claim that she loves models.
- original scores fan ; besides movies, wenrei also notice and listen to the original scores of the movies. after watching a movie, she will go online and search for the scores which she thinks is great. her favourite would be changing heart, above and beyond and aeon. the scores make her feel epic.
- hobbies ; without doubt, wenrei's hobby would be to remix songs and dj-ing. besides, watching movies and dramas are also one of her hobbies.
- habits ; in backstage or any situation before she's on camera, she will take out her earphones and ipod to listen to some original scores. this could boot up her confidence thus making her act well on stage.
- genius ; at the age of 18, wenrei get 1320 in sat and 4a* in a-level. she attended seoul foreign high school and took the american and british college exam. she could not take the korean college entrance exam as she is not that fluent in korean. in a-level, she took mathematics, physics, chemistry and economics.
- big bang fan ; she is a huge big bang fan. she has the full collection of big bang's album from the first one to the recent one.
- youtube account ; she has her own account, amerei, where she will upload some of her remix songs. after she became a trainee, she seldom upload songs as the company doesn't let her.

wenrei never really tell anyone about her family. this is because if she tells them, they will be nice to her because of her rich family background. she don't want to be like that. her parents respect her decision and they never bring her to any media conference dinner. they will bring her if it is a private dinner or party. wenrei respects and loves her parents a lot. she admires them as they are successful. she also thank them for not raising her as a spoiled child. every month, daniel and jane will fly to seoul and have family time with wenrei, since she's only 16 when she went to seoul.

as fellow hong kong mate, jackson and wenrei become the best of friends. they met in the backstage of a variety show called weekly idol. since both of them are from the same country, they immediately become good friends. they always talk about foods they missed in hong kong. as a senior, jackson will teach her about the do and don't in the k-pop world. overall, jackson is like an older brother to wenrei.

winner is the only senior who is close to wenrei. this is because the members of winner are more friendly to the younger compared to other seniors, especially minho and seungyoon. when they are free, they will go to the girls' practice room and buy some food for them. then they will eat together while chatting about recent living and so on.

bobby and wenrei first met when they were in the same vocal class. bobby was in awe when she sang gracefully. this is the first time in his training life that he heard something so good. he then approached her, trying to be friends. she happily agreed and they become friends. as time goes by, bobby slowly fall for wenrei's charm and personality. however, he didn't confess to her because he is going to debut as a member of ikon. he keeps his love for her, continue to be by her side and help her, support her.

according to wenrei, the training life isn't that hard. instead, she has fun. during the training, she learned a lot of things, for instance, how to sing high notes while dancing, dancing and even the basic of rapping. wenrei has a lot of friends in the company too. during break, they will go and have lunch or dinner together. she doesn't have much rival in the company because she is just a normal girl, a normal trainee. the only problem she faced is dancing, due to her stiff body, she finds dancing difficult. but she works hard and continue doing it because an idol needs to know how to dance.

the performance by trainees. since all of us have worked hard in preparing the performances. i think that it works out well.

my resolution is being in the top 3 in every episode and being able to debut at the end of the show!
