appearance » She has long, dark auburn hair and cat-like, very dark amber eyes which often astonish people when they notice the different colour of her eyes. She looks younger than her age as she has a rather petite build (163cm and 45kg), and also looks fragile to some people. She is is also one of those people who has an expressionless face that people mistake as angry or grumpy, and hence some people can think that she is quite scary at first.

style » Ruby isn't the girly kind of girl, so her clothes are mostly simple and casual, comprising mainly of shorts, leggings and jeans. She loves to layer her tops for an added touch of style. She doesn't feel comfortable wearing skirts or dresses, especially because she is a rather active person, though she is aware that some ocacasions call for it. Ruby also likes to wear high tops, ugg boots and mid-calf boots. She tends to prefer dark coloured or plain clothing to bright coloured clothing.

Ruby is somewhat of a tomboy, although she likes to be feminine sometimes (well, she is still a girl, after all). Her reason for not dressing up more often is because it's impractical more than anything else.

Loyal & Protective: Loyalty is without a doubt Ruby's strongest trait. She can always be depended on to have your back, especially if she has made it clear that she will stand by you, because Ruby always keeps to her word. She would go down fighting than surrender to the opponent, metaphorically and literally. Ruby can be forgiving of people who have hurt her (till a certain level), but she will never forgive those that hurt her loved ones. She isn't afraid to fight for her loved ones and her beliefs - literally, if her friends or family were being threatened.

Straightforward & Blunt: Ruby hates the complexity when people say what they don't mean and hide who they are, and hence is always honest and straightforward with her feelings. She understands that this may be hurtful sometimes, but she maintains that it is better to hurt a person with the truth than the hurt of being lied to. This has earned her the good reputation of being who she really is, and her words are usually trusted. She likes to see things as black and white, and though she acknowledges that grey areas exist, she tries not to dwell too much on that as she tends to get a headache if she does. This could become a negative point sometimes as she might be unable to accept that things can exist in between black and white.

Compassionate: Many people will think Ruby is a emotionless, even insensitive person, because she doesn't show much emotions, and her expressionless face is often mistaken for being angry or grumpy. Being straightforward with things only add on to that thinking. However, Ruby is actually a very compassionate and sympathetic person because she is emotionally-driven internally, she just doesn't display it outwardly. She feels happy when she knows that she has made other people happy. One of the things that she wants to achieve in life is to make a positive and lasting change on the lives of others. She cares a lot for others, and is willing to make sacrifices for people.

Calm & Observant: Ruby's ability to remain cool and composed even during critical situations is another one of her strong points. She is able to keep her emotions under control during such situations, assess the present scenario, and think of solutions. Other people are often shocked by how calm she can be, and sometimes even mistake her calmness for lack of concern, especially since she doesn't show her emotions much outwardly. To Ruby, what is important is to resolve the current issue rather than react to it.

Insecure: As a result of being emotionally-driven, Ruby gets emotionally attached to people (and things) easily. In the past, she has been hurt many times by people whom she thought were her friends. Thus, now, even after becoming friends with others, she will tend to pull back after reaching a certain level of closeness with them, isolating herself or putting up walls to prevent them from getting even closer so she can protect herself from getting hurt again. Despite this, being caring is part of Ruby's base nature, so she can't help but continue to care for others, though untrusting of them until they have proven themselves. As a result of her past experiences, she wonders frequently if she is good enough for others, and constantly fears her loved ones leaving her. She is also quick to assume the negative with regards of that. She doesn't like to confide her problems to other people as she is afraid of burdening them.

Critical: Ruby is quite a bit of a perfectionist. She is very critcal of herself and her actions, and only wants the best efforts and results. Thus, she constantly pushes herself to become better, and even though this is a good point, more often than not, she places too much pressure and expectations on herself that she cannot fulfill, which causes her self-esteem to decrease. Sometimes, she wonders if she really isn't good enough when she is unable to meet her own expectations.

background » Ruby was born in Milan, Italy, to an Italian father and a Korean mother. At the age of 17, due to a very bad break up (her ex-boyfriend cheated on her) that left Ruby in depression, her family shifted. Harmony City's reputation as home to a multitude of diverse ethnicities attracted not only her father, a professional photographer with an interest in cultures, but also the rest of her family, seeing as they are of mixed cultures/races. Her family is relatively middle-class, hence, she and her sister take on part-time jobs almost as soon as they came of age to work to help ease the financial burden on the family. The entire family still lives together in one apartment at Harmony City. Being in a new environment helped Ruby to forget that break up, but sometimes she still isn't sure whether she has fully gotten over it, but she doesn't let herself dwell on it for too long.

Alan Farelia | Father - Seemingly fierce and unapprochable on the outside, but is actually a really nice and caring father. Ruby isn't as close to him as her mother, but she still respects him greatly for being a good father and husband. She wishes to interact with him more, as he always seems to be away from home and busy with work. However, she also understands that he's just trying to earn money for the family.

Shin Seoki | Mother - A very loving and caring person, willing to sacrifice for her loved ones. She is very intelligent and hardworking, and would even forget her meals sometimes due to work. She is also very thrifty and cautious in her spending, and hence is very good at handling finances. Ruby is very close to her mother, and many of her values and beliefs were influenced by her mother as she was growing up. Both of them constantly worry for each other's health due to working so much.

Raina Farelia | Elder Sister - A very gentle, mature and intelligent person. She is very pretty and lady-like, pretty much the opposite of Ruby. She always seems to be able to do everything perfectly, is nice to everyone and loves her family. Raina seems so perfect to Ruby that it is no wonder the former is the latter's role model. They have a close sibling relationship, and Raina constantly dotes on her young sister. Sometimes, though, Raina seems too perfect that Ruby actually gets jealous of her. Part of the pressure and expectations she puts on herself are due to her sister. However, Ruby doesn't hate her sister, just deeply admires and envies her.

Stephanie (Steph) Hwang | Best Girl Friend (Milan, Italy) - Stephanie is Ruby's best girl friend, back in Milan. She is a very supportive and encouraging person - to the people she cares about, at least. To most others, she has a y and pretentious side, though most are unaware that it's just an act she puts on to prevent from getting backstabbed by people she thinks are her friends again.

Nathaniel (Nat) Lee | Close Friend (Milan, Italy) - He is another one of Ruby's close friends in Milan, and aside from Steph, he is the only person she keeps in contact with from there. He is a rather shy person to strangers, but as one gets to know him, he is actually a very encouraging and supportive friend who cares deeply for his friends. He is very reliable and trustworthy and always puts others before him. He hates seeing his friends cry, and would do anything to make them feel better. He is also someone who values friends greatly, and dislikes the idea of long-term committment.

Joshua Hong (Seventeen) | Ex-Colleague, Best Friend - Ruby met Joshua at the cafe she was working at, he was also a cafe staff at that time. Even though they only worked together for a short time as he went off to pursue his dream to become a Korean pop idol, they clicked because of their love for books. Joshua was one of the very, very few people that managed to coax Ruby from behind her walls, thanks to his gentle and caring nature. They kept in contact after he left the city.

Starter personality » Eevee is a rather mature pokemon, and is often the mother of the group and keeps the other pokemon in check. She has a tendency to want to please her trainer, and thus works very hard to prove herself. Like Ruby, she is a bit of a perfectionist and always tries to push herself further, and would keep training over and over again to master a particular move. She does have a playful side though, which only comes out during the rare times she allows herself to relax and have fun. Eevee also secretly likes attention and compliments, though she wouldn't admit it.

personality » Joshua's personality can be summed up in a few words - gentle, loving, kind and pure. He is the epitome of kindness and gentleness, he's not nicknamed the gentleman for nothing, after all. He treats everyone in the same, loving way, no matter who they are, even if they are mean or behave horribly to him. He can be a bit shy and awkward in front of strangers, and is a bit of an introvert, but he has a weird and funny side that will come out once he gets used to or becomes comfortable with his environment. The change can be so drastic that people might even wonder if he is the same person, but his kind and gentle personality is always there, even when he's being weird or funny.

love story » Ruby and Joshua first met each other at the cafe they were working at (as mentioned earlier), and Joshua was one of the senior staffs. They got along okay, but Joshua noticed that Ruby had a tendency to shy away after a certain level of closeness, not just with him but with the other staff members too, and thought that there might be something bad bothering her that she was hiding. After working together for a while, Joshua could tell that even though Ruby didn't show much emotions, she was actually a loving and caring person as well, frequently showing care for colleagues, friends, family, and customers, which made her behaviour even stranger. Being concerned, he tried to talk to her more, and worked hard at earning her trust, though Ruby was highly resistant at first even to the point where she would avoid Joshua because she thought that he was trying too hard to get closer to her, and she was afraid he would hurt her. Eventually, through Joshua's persistence, she finally saw his sincerity despite her pushing him away countless amount of times, and always being there for her when she needed help, and she confided in him her past and all her fears. Thankful for her trust in him, Joshua also opened up to her about his secrets and fears.

After he left the cafe to begin his trainee life, he found that he missed her a lot and thought it was just because she was his best friend. It was only afterwards when he brought one of his Seventeen members (who happened to be her bias) to the cafe with him so that he could meet her (to avoid causing a scandal) who showed interest in her that Joshua started feeling jealous and realised his feelings, epsecially when that member also pointed out Joshua's interest in her. 

Ruby is oblivious to his feelings for her, and sometimes she feels a stirring of feelings within her for Joshua, but she always forces those feelings away as she doesn't want to go through that kind of hurt again, and she doesn't want to jeopardise her friendship with Joshua. She supports Joshua's dream and is an avid fan of his group. Her bias is surprisingly not him, which makes him jealous sometimes especially when she fangirls over her bias to or in front of him.

Ruby fangirling over her bias in Seventeen when Joshua brings him there, and Joshua himself starting to feel jealous even though he knew that her bias wasn't him. When the member also comments that she's cute/pretty, Joshua snaps at him. At the end of the visit, the member tells Joshua that it's obvious he likes her because of the way he watches her while she works, with a small smile on his face, and also because of how much he mentions her to the other members in the dorm.

I'd like for their confession to be an angsty one if possible~

Joshua coming to Ruby's rescue when she was being bothered by a bunch of boys in the cafe, and she sort of scolds him for interfering because he is highly recognisable as an idol, but still thanks him.

Emotional scene of Ruby blaming herself and being worried sick over Eevee after the pokemon pushes herself too hard, and the pokemon trying to comfort her ^^
