The school was over and students were heading downstairs to go home, as most of our classes were at the top of the building. I was not going home just yet, so I decided to bring myself to the library. 

It was that time when I was going down the stairs to the third floor of my school's building, where the library was located, that I saw him. His class was at the third floor and he was heading to the ground floor to go home. 

As both of our eyes met, I seriously felt the atmosphere a little tense. We used to be very nice to each other. Being a wallflower, I had to admit that he was one of the only guys that I talked to at school. 

These days, his 'Hi's were no longer heard when he met me at school. He used to greet me everytime we bumped to each other. But now, I could say that he only managed to spare a glance to me without even a smile. And for somehow and somewhat, I was dejected by it. 

And as what I expected, he just glance at me. Like i was just another students.

But what suprised me was what happened later.

I lifted my left hand and said "Hi," to him.

It was so unusual of me to be doing that to people and what i just did was Hi-ing the freaking him.

OMG, I seriously need to bury my whole body in a hole and stayed there until God-knows how long.

And you know what he responded? 

He smirked.

Yes, he smirked.

Oh My God, he just smirked at my greeting! 

I came to realize how much was I missing his Hellos. He was never that special someone in my heart. Like trust me, he was just a friend. 

But the fact that he was the only guy that had always "Hi" at me after all these days, I selfishly wanted him to keep that habit forever, because I like it. 

I knew how much was I needing the hole right now, but at the same time, i didn't regret myself for Hi-ing him. Yes, it was silly but I was pretty much satisfied with my own action.

I was being out of my comfort zone.
