jieqi was born without knowing who her parents are. her parents abandoned her in the forests right after she was born. thankfully, the xiahou family took her and care for her. the xiahou is a rich family in changsha, having over a dozen houses and thousands of followers. they are actually the biggest mafia gang in changsha, or even hunan. since she was little, jieqi was having a great life thank to her foster family. however, happy moments don't last long. when she was 14 years old, another mafia gang, the lee, from shanghai, came to changsha and conquered it. all of xiahou family members were killed in the fire, except jieqi who went out to buy sweets. she was shocked when her house is gone, her family is gone. she has no choice but to leave changsha.
with nothing but some money and a dagger, she get some help from the small villages. however, not all people are kind, some of them chase her out, some of them kicked her out, some old man even try to her, thanks to her father who taught her martial arts, she managed to escape. after meeting so much bad people along the way, jieqi lost faith in human and decided that she is the only one who can help herself. she changed into a new person, she started to steal from eateries, then from the groceries. although she got caught sometimes, she acts pity to them and eventually they let her go. through some experience, she became the gem thief at the age of 17.
as the gem thief, she travels around china to steal valuable things, having different aliases. as profesional as she can get, she can't get caught by the police as she knows what is their method. when she's in guangzhou, she nearly got caught by the police as they found out her plan. she escaped to ming fu zhen, a small village at the inner part of guangzhou. jieqi thought that they would hand her out to the police, instead, they helped her out. this makes her know that they are still people who are kind. therefore, as a gratitude, she helped them back. in the end, jieqi and the villagers of ming fu zhen are family.
the gem thief is famous around china as she is the only thief that haven't been caught by the police. to prevent them from recognized her, no one knows her except for the people in ming fu zhen. since the gem thief is famous, she is like the sand and invicible to everyone's eyes. jieqi received many offers/jobs to steal somethings. this makes her a millionare as she received a lot of money if she did steal the things employer wants. the amount of money received varies with the difficulty to steal that item. in the end, she ends up in eudaimonia, the only kingdom she haven't visit. there is a reason she arrives there. she received a letter from xiao han zi, the eunuch for kim joonmyun, the 4th son of king jaewoo, king of eudaimonia. he offered a really good price which attracted jieqi.
ming fu zhen - a hideout for jieqi when she's wanted by the police. the people there know her very well and kind to her. this is because she helped them a lot in the past, giving them money, grow crops so that they have food, teach them business so that they could sell the crops to earn money etc. when there are foreigner come to the village, the people will protect jieqi and her alias, mingyan, 明艳, comes to place.

although it looks like yifan doesn't care what the other brothers do to fight for the throne, but he secretly remember and collect the evidence, in case he needs it one day. overall, as his pride is being crushed by his mother, he uses different and even cruel ways to get his pride back,

THE TWO BROTHERS FOUND OUT THE FUSS AND FOLLOWED THE OWNER. ON THE STREET, THERE IS A CROWD AS THE OWNER AND A FEW OF HIS FOLLOWERS SURROUNDED JIEQI, WHO PLEADED TO BE INNOCENT. the crowd agreed to the restaurant owner as jieqi really does look like a thief, she wore her "working" outfit, which made the crowd suspected her. jieqi felt helpless as no one stood out to help her despite her acting. she then bravely asked the owner to search her, saying that she's not afraid of being searched. yifan interfered, the crowd quickly bowed as the 3rd and 12th prince is here, except jieqi who doesn't know anything. yifan claimed that she is his follower and said that she will not steal anything. although the restaurant owner and the crowd still think that she steals, they let her go as the prince said so. as the crowd faded away, jieqi walked away without the princes noticing. sehun looked at yifan. "why did you help that girl? she didn't even say thank you."

jieqi was born without knowing who her parents are. her parents abandoned her in the forests right after she was born. thankfully, the xiahou family took her and care for her. the xiahou is a rich family in changsha, having over a dozen houses and thousands of followers. they are actually the biggest mafia gang in changsha, or even hunan. since she was little, jieqi was having a great life thank to her foster family. however, happy moments don't last long. when she was 14 years old, another mafia gang, the lee, from shanghai, came to changsha and conquered it. all of xiahou family members were killed in the fire, except jieqi who went out to buy sweets. she was shocked when her house is gone, her family is gone. she has no choice but to leave changsha.

as the gem thief, she travels around china to steal valuable things, having different aliases. as profesional as she can get, she can't get caught by the police as she knows what is their method. when she's in guangzhou, she nearly got caught by the police as they found out her plan. she escaped to ming fu zhen, a small village at the inner part of guangzhou. jieqi thought that they would hand her out to the police, instead, they helped her out. this makes her know that they are still people who are kind. therefore, as a gratitude, she helped them back. in the end, jieqi and the villagers of ming fu zhen are family.
the gem thief is famous around china as she is the only thief that haven't been caught by the police. to prevent them from recognized her, no one knows her except for the people in ming fu zhen. since the gem thief is famous, she is like the sand and invicible to everyone's eyes. jieqi received many offers/jobs to steal somethings. this makes her a millionare as she received a lot of money if she did steal the things employer wants. the amount of money received varies with the difficulty to steal that item. in the end, she ends up in eudaimonia, the only kingdom she haven't visit. there is a reason she arrives there. she received a letter from xiao han zi, the eunuch for kim joonmyun, the 4th son of king jaewoo, king of eudaimonia. he offered a really good price which attracted jieqi.
ming fu zhen - a hideout for jieqi when she's wanted by the police. the people there know her very well and kind to her. this is because she helped them a lot in the past, giving them money, grow crops so that they have food, teach them business so that they could sell the crops to earn money etc. when there are foreigner come to the village, the people will protect jieqi and her alias, mingyan, 明艳, comes to place.

ON THE STREET, THERE IS A CROWD AS THE OWNER AND A FEW OF HIS FOLLOWERS SURROUNDED JIEQI, WHO PLEADED TO BE INNOCENT. the crowd agreed to the restaurant owner as jieqi really does look like a thief, she wore her "working" outfit, which made the crowd suspected her. jieqi felt helpless as no one stood out to help her despite her acting. she then bravely asked the owner to search her, saying that she's not afraid of being searched. yifan interfered, the crowd quickly bowed as the 3rd and 12th prince is here, except jieqi who doesn't know anything. yifan claimed that she is his follower and said that she will not steal anything. although the restaurant owner and the crowd still think that she steals, they let her go as the prince said so. as the crowd faded away, jieqi walked away without the princes noticing. sehun looked at yifan. "why did you help that girl? she didn't even say thank you."
