SHINee's Taemin revealed the difference between being an idol group member and debuting solo in Japan.

Taemin recently made his solo debut in Japan with "Sayonara Hitori", becoming the first SHINee member to do so. At the event for his debut showcase on July 18, he shared, "I think it's good that I can express something new that I didn't show through SHINee. I want to show what's inside me through each of the 5 tracks."

He was also surprised with a birthday cake and responded, "I'm very happy. It's the biggest cake I've received so far."

Taemin's full Japanese solo album releases on July 27 KST.
