help

QUESTION: does it seem interesting? I know there is only about a page there so far, but can you see yourself reading it? I need help ;-;

Summary (kinda): Once upon a time, there was a young boy that could see the dead and the non-existent. He lived his life, shying away from them as much as he could; denied they existed. But it was useless. They crowded around him like a moth to a flame. And he couldn’t take it anymore. He took his life and the Devil took him away.

He stayed all but two minutes in the furnace called Hell, but to him it felt like an eternity. And so, the moment he was revived, he promised himself that he would do better; that he would help this world to get rid of its Demons (mostly hoping that it would get him into Heaven). He became an exorcist.

tap. tap. tap.

eyes flicker up towards the sound, but nothing comes into view. not thinking anything of it, he looks back down to his paperwork. just as he’s about to start reading again, it sounds again.

tap. tap. tap.

this time he furrows his brows before he looks up. his eyes search out the window, trying to discern anything from the darkness outside. again, nothing. sungjoon stands up from his chair, still staring at the window.

tap. tap. tap.

his lips pull in a tight line, an uncomfortable feeling settling in the pit of his stomach. something’s just not right. sungjoon reaches forward and feels under his desk for the knife he keeps taped under it. he tugs it free and only then does he chance a look down. fingers flex around the handle, the knife familiar in his hand.

taptaptap.

the sound comes faster and it draws his attention back to the window. his fingers tighten around the hilt as he walks closer. muscles tense and adrenaline pumping, he’s ready for every kind of attack. well, almost every kind at least.

he finally reaches the window and peers outside carefully. sungjoon stands there for a minute or two with nothing happening. just as he’s about to turn around and walk back to his desk–

taptapCRASH

shards of glass rain down on him as the window shatters. he turns away, using his arms to cover his head. small cuts appear all over the bare skin of his hands and forearms, but he hardly notices. all his attention is on the person–no, creature that has just entered.

on first glance, it looks just like a regular human girl, but sungjoon knows better. he straightens up, taking on a defensive stance as he takes in the creature in front of him. it doesn’t seem ready to attack, but he doesn’t want to take any chances.

               “who are you? what do you want?”

his voice was tense, betraying his inner feelings, and he curses to himself at his lack of control. the girl just stares at him with eyes that tell of a life longer than any human’s. and then, she speaks.

               “He has a job for you.”
